Chapter 4515: Wolf and Cat

Chapter 4515: Wolf and Cat

Burst 90%.

The power of the burst filled my body. It is a massive burst, but the monster is powerful, and I would need it to deal with it fast.

Clang!

My sword clashed against it hard, creating a powerful shockwave that was quickly swallowed up by the suppression of this place.

The monster looked surprised as it shook. It had not expected that a little me would be able to make a powerful enough attack to shake it.

I looked at its energy as it clashed against my armor, and it is powerful and unique.

It had taken the element of corruption. Making a part of it. It didn’t happen immediately, but over thousands of years.

Though at first, over 99% of fauna and flora would die. A very few things survive a sudden change in environment.

Roar!

It roared as it landed, while I grinned before moving at it for another attack.

If I had time, I would have let it take the lead, but unfortunately, I do not. I need to kill the monster as soon as possible and be on my way.

Clang Clang Clang!

I attacked again, and it quickly stopped it with its claws, but that didn’t stop me, and I attacked again and again.

The monster kept stopping my attack, while fury burned in its eyes, and it used full power.

I continued with my attack, each revealing something about it. I want to finish the battle quickly, but that doesn’t mean I want to go directly for its throat.

That would be an idiotic mistake.

Quick does not mean immediately. I need to be sure before I make the killing move. It is why I tested, but they are also realm moves.

If I see the chance, I wouldn’t hesitate to go for the kill.

Unfortunately, the monster is keeping the tight defense, but there is always a gap, and I need to find it.

A few seconds passed, and a small smile appeared on my face. However, I didn’t dare to be hasty. Yes, I got something, but I do not need to be hasty.

Roar!

It roared and tried to attack, but my attack arrived before that, and it moved to defend.

Rip!

A deep cut appeared across its leg. I might not have enough to go for the critical organ, but I have understood the monster enough that I could go for the other parts.

It roared angrily, but the only response it got was my attack, which it was able to defend.

Though it wasn’t able to defend the attack that came after, another cut appeared across its legs, and another one in the next attack.

More cuts began to appear across its legs, but despite being deep, they didn’t seem to affect it.

The monster has a massive vitality. Even my powerful inheritance energy will take a while before it starts to affect it.

I do not have that much time; I have to finish it as soon as possible.

A few seconds passed, and a frown appeared on my face. Something I had feared had happened.

"Be careful, another monster is coming," I warned Dynvar. Outside, she would have been able to finish pretty quickly, but here it won’t be easy.

The red tiger monster with horns arrived in seconds, and Dynvar moved to fight it.

I only looked for the second before focusing on my own battle. That monster may be strong, but Dynvar will deal with it.

I will have to deal with mine and do it before another monster appears. There are even stronger monsters than this one in this place, and I wouldn’t want to fight them.

Rip Clag Rip!

More cuts appeared across its body, but like before, it guarded the critical organs zealously.

It is not giving me even an inch. It would take deep injuries to its legs and bear even a scratch on the critical organs. The monster might be dumb, but very experienced.

Still, that didn’t change the fact that I have to kill it.

A few more seconds passed, and tens of more cuts appeared across its legs, but they didn’t seem to affect it at all. Its vitality is too strong.

I could feel my energy inside it, trying to slow it down, but its vitality is resisting the effect.

I kept fighting it, when another smile appeared on my face. I attacked it as usual, and it moved its claws to stop the attack.

When it reached me, a powerful burst of energy came out. Slowly, the claws were enough that I slipped past it, before appearing above it.

The monster reacted fast. Aside from retreating away, it had covered itself in a shell of powerful energy.

It is a monster after all. If it were a person, they wouldn’t have wasted energy on it after seeing how my sword behaved with it.

I brought down my sword, using every bit I had been holding back.

Puch!

My sword reached its head, and it tried to dodge it, but it pierced through the energy effortlessly, before piercing through the skill, which offered some resistance.

It struggled for a moment before falling down on the ground dead.

I sighed and collected the body before moving toward the horned cat monster. Usually, I don’t interfere in Dynvar’s battle, but this is not a place to enjoy the battle.

Puch!

I appeared in front of it and pierced my sword into its eyes. It tried to dodge.

The world might have, but this cat monster is weaker than it. It is why I appeared in front of it, instead of above it.

"Sorry," I said, turning to Dynvar. "You don’t have to apologize, Prime Arys. I was going to ask you for help, but you came," she replied.

She understood time is essence; it’s her organization, that is, the line.

The sooner we finish it, the quicker we will be able to reach our destination and deal with whatever is causing the leak.
