Chapter 4435: Essence

"You have finished as well," I said to the plant, and a moment later, I brought it inside.

Then, I had twelve glass balls with alchemical liquid appear in my hand, and I threw them around while moving into stealth mode.

A second later, the thick smoke began to come out of those bottles and spread around.

This is a special concoction that will destroy the energies of itornas. The monster could sense them and destroy them, but I didn’t want to throw the responsibility for cleaning up on them.

While it happened, I looked inside my core. The ugly wormlike itornas has one huge eye that is struggling.

I wanted to kill it outside, but it was not as easy as it looked. Yes, it is extremely risky to bring into the core, but it is a place I have complete authority over.

I have also designed a powerful formation to withstand the explosion, in case it decides to self-destruct.

It may not seem like it given its size, but this Itornas is extremely powerful.

It’s just that its powers are not suited for direct conflicts, but when it decides to self-destruct, it could create a distraction effect that is close to Silver Prime’s power.

I was about to bring my power to kill it, before it decided to self-destruct when I stopped.

A surprise, then a smile appeared on my face as I saw the runes climbing over it. I shouldn’t have been surprised; it is foreign, which means it will get harvested by trees and runes.

It didn’t come into my mind because I was so worried about its self-destruction.

Now, I didn’t have to; once the runes begin, there is no escape. I could feel it was trying to go for the self-destruct, and just shook my head.

Roar!

I was looking at it when I heard the roars. Hearing that, I got out and moved stealthily around them.

They roared, and I could see them attacking everything. From ground to earth to destroy every speck of energy of the itornas.

I could also sense their presence searching for me and the host, but one is dead, and the other is stealthily sneaking away from them, moving further every second.

Speaking of which, I focused on the plan and felt it digesting the infected monster as it does the common monster.

There didn’t seem to be any difference, other than that it is happening slowly, but that is because the monsters were very powerful.

This brought another question. The one I had thought about many times.

Will I be able to inject growth energy into it? It’s a plant, after all; it’s not a monster, but it’s a special category plan. Slightly different from the usual plants.

The runes had covered it, and the harvest began. I could feel the powerful essence harvested out of it while it struggled in pain.

It didn’t have a mouth. So no noise, but I could feel it suffering the torturous pain.

It deserves every bit of what it is getting.

Time passed, and I got out of the immediate range of the monster, when I sensed something from the edge of my soul sense.

"Now you are coming," I said as I sensed the familiar bird coming at a very fast speed.

A minute later, it was the place where I was fighting. Attacking it madly like monsters did before, but its attacks are far more powerful. I couldn’t help but shudder seeing them.

Buzz!

Finally, the harvest is finished, and a moment later, the strengthening essence flowed down into my body.

"My god!" I gasped, feeling powerful.

I had expected it to be powerful. This is more than I had thought. I shouldn’t be surprised. Despite its size, it is freaking itornas.

They would challenge even the Grimms if they had numbers and would have been more dangerous.

I pushed those thoughts away and focused on the energies.

I focused on my core, on the growth energy, and slowly moved the small stream toward the man-eating plan.

Hun!

I was 75% sure it would be rejected and was quite surprised when I saw the plan offering no rejection. The energy moved there like it does with other plants.

Though what happened later was quite surprising.

Unlike most plants, where energy is moved for a single purpose of maturing the plants. It moved in different directions.

One started to bring changes to its branches, which had been happening for years, to the digestion, where the monsters it had eaten began to digest quickly.

The changes also begin to happen to its roots and mouth.

Though half of the growth is still moving toward the growth, it is a plant after all. While that is happening, it begins to pull the nutrients from the soil at a speed no plant has ever pulled.

Buzz!

I activated the formation, and immediately, more fertiliser began moving into the soil.

Hun!

A few minutes passed, and I noticed the things that shocked me the most. It began to supply the energy to the plants in its domain.

Another shocking thing is that it is directing their growth in a certain direction.

In the flowers are fruits, I noticed. It is making changes that will produce a powerful nectar, while in others, it is bringing other changes that would make those resources more desirable to its prey.

Seeing that, I moved some plants into its domain.

I thought it wouldn’t touch them, but it did within a few seconds. Its roots touched there, and changes began to happen to them.

"You are going to be very useful to me," I said to it, seeing the changes it is bringing to those plants.

There are certain resources I need for my practice. I could enhance them with its help. Also, the resources that bees use the most.

This will further increase the quality of honey.

If I am able to control this plant, then I will control the changes it could bring to the other plants. Just thinking about it made my heart beat wildly.

Minutes passed, and the energy and strengthening essence kept coming.

For a while, it seemed endless, but it ended as my body and plant had absorbed the last drops of it.
