Chapter 3888 Meeting
Chapter 3888 Meeting
I moved carefully; I didn't want to alert the people patrolling along the boundary, between the two organizations.
It is not people, I fear, I am confident that I could move to the other side without being detected, but it is a little challenging with sensory artifacts; there are a lot of them.
I could have gone through the official route, but I wanted to face some of the challenges.
It is prime organizations, people, and artifacts. I wanted to test my methods against them. I know it is idiotic, but sometimes, I couldn't control myself.
Here I could take a risk with stakes being relatively light.
Hun!
A few minutes passed, and I suddenly stopped when another sensory wave came toward me.
It is from the artifact, and it is invisible. Most Sky Sovereigns won't be able to detect it until it gets close to them, and when do, it is already too late.
I let the wave pass through me, and it didn't react, nor did the artifact that sensed it.
I heaved another sigh of relief and resumed moving.
Three hours passed, and I had moved passed over twenty such artifacts and over four Sky Sovereigns. There were other lower levels, but I didn't count them; most of them wouldn't be able to discover me, even if I walked past them.
Finally, I had crossed the last artifact and entered the domain of Siber.
I smiled and continued moving cautiously for another two and a half hours before I stopped and took out my badge.
I opened the projection and the green icon in the corner and waited.
The reply could come within a minute or an hour. So, I took out the abode and entered inside, before entering my core.
Buzz!
It took forty-one minutes for the response to come.
Hun!
I got out of the core immediately and read the message, which made me sigh. "As expected," I muttered. I had expected it, but it still did not make me feel good.
If I had just finished a mission or taken personal time to explore around. I would have been pulled back, but now it is not so simple.
It had been over three and half years since I left the organization, and there was no contact. Now, I will have to follow a few steps, before I would be able to return to the organization.
The caution is warranted; tor is an organization that targets the cults, and the cults also attack, send spies; they need to be careful, even with their members, especially when the members have been silent for years.
The response said I would have to meet the members of the organization in Tahur city.
The city is close, just twelve hours away. I didn't waste any time and got out of the abode, before taking the sky.
This time, I moved a little faster; I didn't have to worry about being stopped. The identity of the organization would be more than enough to provide me with a clear path.
I didn't get stopped at all, dispute coming across a few patrols.
Soon, I could see the silhouette of the city and took the badge, contacting the person I wanted to meet. I received a reply within a second with the address.
Thud!
I landed in front of the city gates and walked inside. I showed my identity, fake of course, before walking into the city.
Click!
It didn't take me long to find the bar and entered inside. Immediately, finding the person.
There is a green-haired half-elf wearing a yellow sundress, sipping on a drink. Her aura is that of the Sovereign, but she is not a Sovereign. She is a Sky Sovereign; a Mid-Sky Sovereign, to be exact.
I stopped at the table and sat down, projecting the same aura as her.
"Hena," I said, and she nodded.
"Jerome, you have been gone for long," she said. Referring me to the name, the message said she would refer me. The organization is careful with identities, especially with the identities of people like me.
"I was on another continent," I replied, and a faint surprise appeared in her eyes.
"We have allies on every continent. You should have contacted us through them, but you have been completely silent," she said.
"I like to be cautious," I replied, before bringing out the wooden box, which she took. "Everything organization is asked is here, including the report," I said.
They had asked for things, including the report. I hope it will be enough to go to the organization. There, I will need to tell them everything about the journey and proof and hope they would accept.
It would have been much easier if I had contacted the allies, but as I had said, I am a cautious person and I don't regret my choice.
"I will send this to the organization," she said and to the box.
A few seconds later, she walked away, while I stayed and ordered a drink. I sipped it quietly while listening to the conversations around me. f𝐫e𝚎𝘄eb𝚗o𝐯𝐞𝐥.𝐜𝚘m
I don't know how long it would take for the organization to process it, but it shouldn't take over ten days. I was ordered to stay in the city till then; I have no intention of moving away.
There are a few things before I go to the organization. A few days would be enough for that.
Soon, I finished up my drink and paid, before walking out of the bar.
I didn't immediately find the hotel. I roamed around the city; there is nothing special about it, but I liked roaming around, a new habit, I had picked up on my journey.
It was a two and half hours later. I stopped at a hotel and booked a suite.
It was a modest suit, nothing ostentatious, but it will serve the purpose, till the organization calls me. I really miss it.
It is the only permanent place, I have in this world, and I like it.
