Chapter 1221 - Range

Chapter 1221 - Range

"We have to reach the range of Crown Tree today." Rachel said as we got out of the abode; everyone nodded, hearing that. Only around a week remained till this Ruin closed, and we have to harvest the things we need from it, if we did not then it will defeat the whole purpose of coming to this ruin.

With that thought, we started our journey today; we kept our speed higher than yesterday. We were killing every monster that came in our with the quickest speed without holding anything back.

Ive even asked Ashlyn take a activate part, and now she is ahead of us, killing most of the monsters that coming toward us; because of Ashlyn, we only facing three out of ten monsters that coming at us while the rest of them dealt with by the Ashlyn.

It is not just monsters we are coming across; we have even sensed teams of Grimm Monsters and humans. I had stopped Ashlyn from killing Grimm Monsters; these Grimm Monsters would turn very helpful when we reach the crown tree.

As we grew closer to the Crown Tree, the comic energy grew denser and denser till we started to see very faint golden yellowness around us. This is a sign we have grown closer to the Crown Tree, and due to that, monsters got even more powerful.

"Micheal, now would be time to lift your sword right," Sarah said finally when six monsters came in our way, till now; no matter how monsters powerful monsters have gotten, I have never raised my weapon but seeing six powerful Mid Prince monsters are coming, mary finally had to ask me to fight.

Except for Sarah and Jim, I don't think anyone thinks much of my fighting ability. They did not look down on me or anything since I am a medic and doing fine under such a dense energy environment, but I could still feel their gaze.

"Sure," I said and desspeared from my spot, and as I desspeared, the vines erupted below the Bear Monster I am targeting and bound it completely.

Puch!

As the vines completely bounded it, I appeared beside it and pierced my sword into its head, killing it immediately before storing its body.

When I looked back, I saw my teammates still fighting, and it took them a minute to finish off the monsters they were fighting before they look at me in surprise; the only people who were not surprised were Rachel and Jim, but a slight astonishment can be seen in their eyes.

"You are quite fast," Mary said with a gaze that made me quite uncomfortable, "You can do it too if you used your real strength," I told her, "Sure," she said with a smile before we continue on the journey again.

As the monsters' numbers and strength increased, I started to join the battle more actively, and I killed all the monsters the same way I killed the first monsters.

The bind and kill is the best way to kill the monsters; it can help me even kill the much stronger monsters than one. There are two key elements in this move; the first is timing, and the second is the bind.

Timing is required for all the best attacks, and this move is no different. Here I have to launch the attack at the perfect moment, and as I did, I have to bind them with my vines as soon as possible.

The bind I used against the monster depends on what type of monster it is. If I bind them with any binds, they will easily break the vines with herculean strength. I have to bind them so they cannot use huge force on vines to break free.

I had practiced for some time in subterranean, and now it is helping me quite a bit. At my current ability, I could use this skill on a max of three monsters simultaneously, but the number will increase as I progress further into the future.

We kept growing closer and closer to the Crown Tree, and by the time twilight came, we finally reached our destination.

The forest of short and dry trees has gone, and now in front of us, a thick green forest filled with tall trees, and if one looked at the sky, one could see some branches of the humongous crown tree.

The crown tree is still hundred-some kilometers away, the vibrant forest I see in front of me right now wholly made of saplings of Crown Tree. No other species of plants in this Ruin could thrive in such a thick Cosmic Energy density.

"Such vitality," I muttered with the rest of my teammates; the species of crown tree had a specialty. They used thick cosmic energy to create the field of vitality around them; this vital field is so strong that it could heal even serious injuries within a few minutes.

Many people have taken the see back to grow them into the forbidden zones for this specialty, but the results were not so good. This tree seemed to born for this Ruin as it requires this particular flavor or diluted cosmic energy.

"This forest is amazing; with such thick cosmic energy mixed with this heavy vital energy, it is a paradise for herbs," Jim said as he picked up a very rare kind of herbs from the ground.

This forest is Paradice for Herbs and monsters, too, and the closer we get to the Crown Tree, the denser this vitality and Cosmic Energy would become.

Crown Tree, the father of these trees itself, has the most powerful vital field, which can heal injuries within seconds, making the monsters living in the forest and Crown Tree mutate in a certain direction.

These monsters have less need for the vitality; they have transferred that quality toward offense and defensive. The Monsters here in this vibrant forest are crazy defensive, and their offense also great well; it is quite hard to kill them.
