Monarch of Time

Chapter 1048 1048 Pseudo-Dao Emperor

Chapter 1048 1048 Pseudo-Dao Emperor

The moment Shun Long opened his eyes, he could feel the clear changes in the flow of time around him.

Time inside the foggy space had always been static. There were no gusts of air, no noise, no magic beasts roaming around other than Little Black. The entire sub-space was essentially a safe haven for Shun Long to do as he wished.

But this time, things were clearly different. Shun Long could feel the minute changes around his body affecting his environment.

Even as he sat there cross-legged without doing anything, he could feel time slowing down in one moment and then speeding up the next, as if his mere presence was affecting it.

"Is this what it means to become a pseudo-Dao Emperor? ...But why is it so different from Mei'er and the others?"

Resting his palm against his chin Shun Long couldn't help but mutter in a low voice, before spreading out his soul sense barely a few moments later, enveloping the entirety of the foggy space.

The foggy space wasn't too large of an area to begin with, at least not the area that Shun Long could currently access. But the moment his soul sense spread out, he could almost see the unending ripples of qi his body was emitting.

Of course, even without his soul sense, Shun Long could tell that the effect he had on the flow of time around him was very weak. It was practically nonexistent. Someone who hadn't comprehended the Dao of Time wouldn't be able to even sense them.

But Shun Long could tell that they were undoubtedly there. He was affecting the flow of time inside the foggy space and was doing so unconsciously.

"Hahaha! Congratulations, master! You've reached the absolute peak of the Dao King realm! Regardless of whether it's in the Immortal Dimension or this mortal world, there's no Dao King who can claim to be your equal anymore." Little Black's hearty laughter rang throughout the foggy space, as the black dragon's joyous tone could no longer be suppressed!

"A pseudo-Dao Emperor who has comprehended 3 supreme-level Daos! Even in the entirety of the Immortal Dimension, those who can stand up to master at the same level of cultivation shouldn't number more than a handful! Let me see who dares stand in master's path once he ascends in the future!"

Shaking his head, Shun Long ignored Little Black's laughter that was only getting louder and louder, and instead circulated his 'Monarch's Hourglass' as he forcefully suppressed any residual ripples of qi still pulsing around his body.

His aura of a pseudo-Dao Emperor vanished in an instant, making him look no different from a mortal who had yet to start cultivating.

Glancing around him, his gaze then fell on one of the corners of the foggy space, where hundreds of pill bottles were neatly stacked on top of each other, forming a small mound. As he stared at the numerous bottles, each filled with numerous rank 5 and rank 6 pills, Shun Long could already feel a headache coming

"I wonder how Fu Li and Lan Jinjing are doing. They should have sold most of the pills in the shop by now..."

Naturally, if the shop's sales had been decent during his month of absence, Shun Long estimated that Fu Li and Lan Jinjing should now be running low in stock. However, that was also a problem.

After all, Shun Long would have to replenish the entire shop's inventory all by himself.

Of course, the ingredients themselves weren't the issue. He had more than enough medicinal herbs to concoct any kind of rank 6 pill imaginable. In fact, even his reserves of rank 7 herbs were deep enough to start making dozens of different star-rank pills!

What Shun Long lacked right now was a proper alchemy cauldron that would be able to bear the load of making so many star-rank pills... and enough time to make those pills.

"Let's see how the shop did, first. I'll decide on what to do after that."

As this thought appeared in his mind, Shun Long closed his eyes and imagined himself leaving the foggy space, as he returned back to the Scaled Mountains.

Regardless of whether the shop had sold out or not during his absence, there was no point in thinking about it right now.

After all, it's not like he had hastily decided on opening up a shop in the first place. He already had a plan going forward, and was going to stick to it.

Naturally, he wasn't going to spend a couple of years cooped up in the foggy space, just to refine enough pills for the shop to run smoothly. Even with the foggy space's time dilation, he'd need to refine pills every day just to keep the shelves full.

Moments later, in the outer ring of the Scaled Mountains, an azure-robed figure could be seen strolling out of his small, isolated cave, before tearing space open and vanishing from the populated mountain range.

...

Amber Dawn was only a few thousand kilometers from the Scaled Mountains, so appearing in its vicinity was a matter of opening a single space rift.

In fact, now that his body had grown even stronger after the trial of the golden staircase, Shun Long could tell that his ability to tear space asunder had taken a leap, too. It's not like his comprehension of his Dao of Space had increased, but his body had grown so much stronger that he could forcefully open bigger space tears!

Shun Long wasn't sure if he'd simply gotten lucky the first time around or if the crowd this time was unusually large, but before he even approached the city gates, he could clearly make out a line of a few thousand people gathered up in the southern entrance of Amber Dawn.

The inspection of the guards was only perfunctory though, and as the crowd moved, two hours later, it was his turn to enter the city.

However, just as the lead guard finished checking his credentials and was about to let him in, a sharp voice cut through the air, a mix of shock and elation that instantly drew everyone's attention.

"Senior Han!?"
