Monarch of Darkness, Arsene

Chapter 915 Court Of Nox

“DIE!!!!” Howled the young man as his dark eyes flashed with a glint of forewarning, but with a push of my will, pressing down upon his core, a look of pure horror overcame the young man, who tried to detonate.

“Well, that was embarrassing.” I teased, slowly pulling out the rest of his bloody intestines as he squirmed, squealing just how I wanted him to. “Did the Second Consort—”

“FOR THE COURT OF NOX!!!”

A voice from outside howled as a high-pitched voice came into my ear. I dipped to the side in a barrel roll as something came through the window, killing the stranger alongside Vinay tearing their heads off instantly.

I snatched her soul before it left this plane, and a shadow sword appeared in my hand as I felt the residual aura from this sniper. That could kill a high god instantly, and it was designed not to destroy buildings or cities. That weapon was from Genisis.

“Sene, we’ve got company—’

“DIEEEE~!” Rushing through the window, firing off like a mad man, Lilith was quick as a void barrier appeared around us, but these weapons were from Genisis. To kill a high god, they needed to ignore laws.

The Flames of the Abyss flared around Lilith and me, disintegrating the bullets about to touch us as they pierced through Lilith’s spiral barrier like hot butter.

I moved with the will of the darkness and materialized on the right of the assassin, cleaving his head from his body in a single stroke, as I glanced at Lilith, whose expression was dark.

“We’ve been caught off guard. Let’s go; it seems date night—”

“I’m going to kill whoever higher these bastards.” She said with clenched fingers when suddenly I sensed something enters through the broken windows and land on the floor.

Catching sight of the strange cylinder glowing a scarlet light, my eyes widened as I tried to banish it to the shadow realm, only to be surprised it didn’t work.

“Shi—”

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Covering Lilith and me in a cloak that still struck me like a truck, we were blasted out the window, with me taking the brunt of the damage as I rushed to protect Lilith with a shadow step, although I was a little late to process everything and failed.

Having the wind kicked out of me, I groaned as the sting of ash whipped over my eyes.

Lilith held my shoulders, patting the ash off me, ” You ok?”

“Felt like I was sucker punched, but not much damage. I was able to cast a protection spell, but this can’t be the Court of Nox, right?”

“The Court of Nox with weapons and equipment from Genisis. The land that can make a human kill an Elder God.” Lilith said with glowing amethyst eyes. “Hide your ashen hair, and let’s go—”

“Your life is mine, Arsene Snow! For the Court of Nox!” A star-shattering voice howled, ‘Show yourself alongside the whore you’ve impregnated. Let your death be an honorable one!”

The smoke and ash had begun to settle, and from the rubble, a small squad of twelve appeared, all pointing what appeared to be machine guns at Lilith, me, and the twins.

A coolness brushed my mind as I sucked in a long breath, narrowed my eyes, and stared at the bearded man with a pistol glowing an azure light near the trigger.

“Give up. This baby here can fire at speeds ten times faster than the speed of light. You’re not fast enough to dodge unless you’re an elder god at the peak.” Said the Bearded man in a gloating tone.

Signaling to Lilith not to kill everyone, I merely smiled, ” So you’ve joined in with Genisis?”

“Of course, as well as the other eleven planes,” he said. To my surprise, I saw a hellish aura begin to burn from the depths of his eyes.

Unease began to swell as I frowned. “A devil.”

“Ding Ding Ding. Now die! Open fire!”

Light flared, but at that moment, Heavenly Bind fell from the heavens piercing the ground, halting all the bolts of light mid-flight.

“God, I love that spell,” I said, looking at the bolt near the tip of my head.

I watched more snipers fire off, only for the bolt to be halted mid-air as it entered the Heavenly Bind field; I chuckled, “Angelic Spells are just on another level, huh.”

Frozen in time, Lilith and I approached, not bothering to waste time as heads fell. “I figured you’re probably going to change location after this defeat, so allow me the courtesy of letting you know that I’ll be creating a zone just for you all in the Nine Hells for targeting my wife and child.”

Dismissing the Shadow Sword, my heart turned cold as I hooked my arm around my wife, and Shadow Stepped across the city near Valice’s manner and shifted my hair back to its black color.

“I’d forgotten about the Court of Nox. I wonder who could be behind this. You think the founders gave in?”

“I don’t care. I’m killing them alongside whoever is connected to Nox. I’m going to wipe them off the face of the abyss!” Lilith howled as the balls of her knuckles turned a ghastly white.

“Easy, Lili. No need to get emotional. A calm mind is what we need right now. If demons and devils are using Genisis weapons, things will get complicated. Especially since they can make deals with the Hells. This could be the Fallen’s doing.”

“It’s not. Did you forget I told my fourteen generals to watch them? They are busy preparing their cathedrals.” 𝗼𝐯𝗹.𝐞𝘁

“Then… Where is Aiza?”

“That bitch. I’ve no idea. I’ll contact Avar a little later today. To find out if the Shadowfell has been compromised.”

“You’ve been compromised, or did you forget you gave the order to wipe out millions? That order alone sent this city back over a few million years. The hire-ups don’t even trust their closest general. Regulations have gotten extremely tight.”

“I might have been hasty in giving that order. Fine. I’ll call Freya. It’s best my knight is here. The Court of Nox knows who I am. I might need some assistance.”

“You don’t think they’ll leak your identity, do you?” She asked, and I shook my head.

“No. The Court of Nox will need to determine whether House Black is an enemy or an ally. They’ll send a spy. This gives us time to figure out why they are after me and who their leader is.”
