Chapter 836 The Rise Of The Nephilim
Lucifer held me in his sight, expecting me to leave, but as we stood in awkward silence, I broke it with a cough, ” So, are you going to send me back? I assume we are done here, or is there something else?”
“I’m wondering how I should kick you out. Have you ever been spartan kicked?” He asked, a little seriously.
“Ummm, I don’t wanna answer.”
“C’mon, Arsene; it’ll be fun.”
‘Maybe for you.”
“That is the point. Think of it as me getting revenge for my baby girl.”
“That shit had nothing to do with me,” I snapped, taking another step back, covering my balls, as I felt a dark intent lingering over them.
Lucifer chuckled and arose from his throne, ” I’ve been deep in a lot of shit throughout my life, and kicking your ass will probably be the highlight of my life. You’ll understand the heartbreak when you have a daughter, my boy.” ๐จ๐๐น.
“Then why don’t you kick Zariels ass!” I howled, not understanding why I was even involved. I’m literally his brother’s disciple; what the fuck does he want with me?
Lucifer was close and well within range when he stopped. ” While he’s not the strongest out there, he is skilled enough to flee, and then his broken abilities make fighting him a chore.
“How about I nut shot him for you? It’s a fundamental rule that if a person has their guard up, you can’t strike; you must wait for a full-on attack.” I suggested. “All attacks must be by surprise. He’ll never see it coming. I’ll even use my attunement with the abyss or Izavith.
“Nope, I’m good. Also, watch out for Moloch; he’s different from most Fallen. “He said, and my brow creased, “His mind, while not as great as Mephisto or his power not as powerful as me, Moloch’s ritual outshines everyone. If we miss a beat, he could kill anyone of us.”
The hairs on me pierced towards the skies under the threat of Moloch. Even though we weren’t enemies, there was just something about him and the rest of the Fallen that made my skin crawl. Excluding their power, the way Mephisto and now Moloch operated made it seem like they held me in some regard for the future. It’s like they wanted me to reach the peak for a reason.
I’d no reason to suggest that, but there was just this whisper of warning in my ear ringing that made me believe. I don’t want to do business with the Fallen; there is just too much of a difference between us.
“Wait, what happened to Grey?”
“Greyson Snow?” Lucifer repeated with lips straightening out, “From what I could tell, he is a Nephilim. Which is odd.”
Now that isn’t good; what the fuck!
“Technically, the moment you took angels’ blood from Seraphina, you became a Nephilim, but due to your affinity to the abyss, the Hells, and Tenebrae, you remain what you were. But Greyson is truly a Nephilim,” he explained and leaned closer, “an odd one at that; he seems to be one of Moloch’s only successful experiments.”
Jesus Christ, why is it my family knows how to screw each other over? Why can’t they just be silent and do all this shit when I’m not here?
A brief silence whispered through the breeze. ” To be a Fallen is not hard, but to fall means you’ve had to renounce you’re very being. There isn’t much to it; Mephisto did it because he simply asked, but unless your Aurelia, you can’t be born a Fallen. Greyson was, and it’s a startling revelation to everyone in Hell.”
“If one lived, thenโ”
“There could be two, three, hundreds, and if there are hundreds, there could be an army. Moloch may have just created an Army of Nephilims.”
I gulped when the Devil suddenly smiled, and his feet whipped over my chest, stealing the air from my lungs. I pierced through a void, listening to over twenty-nine barriers of the Myriad Heavens shattering like glass.
Blood exploded from my lips as I whipped through the Gate of Hell into the fourth heaven, creating a valley of my own as my body tore through mountains, shattering them with endless ease.
“IT’S ARSENE!!” The Angels and Devils Howled.
“Demonic Resonnnonce!” I bellowed as my body continued to rush through the mountains.
Be it the demons or the Angels, all of them froze in the air, falling like flies one after another, as the Seven Sins erupted like an imploding star, turning the glaring sun to darkness.
Fear rippled out as hundreds of thousands of devils, demons, and angels all froze on the ground, terrified as my sins began to creep into their hearts. Tainting them, whether they were Agnel or devils, all began to glow with my sins, falling to their knees one after the other.
Defiling their hearts, the wings of some angels began to flicker black and white, to my shock. However, before I could see a real change, a foul aura began to emanate from the angels. It was holy, but everything within me was rejecting such power.
The Abyss, The Hells, and Tenebrae reeled with a fit of deadly anger that seemed to trickle into my soul.
“This will not stop us, Arsene Snow!” A High God Angel with five wings howled, but before he could finish, my arm had arrived in his throat, tearing his spine out from his body while taking his soul.
Warm-icy blood splashed over my feet and arm, to my amusement, and my eyes darkened as a regal aura belonging to the devils began to spread. Employing my Devil ability that allowed me to ignore any sacrifice, my wings carrying the runes of the abyss glowed.
“So the Law of Concordance is finished, huh? Well fuck it, let me show you what someone who could fight in the Fifth Heaven can do? Let’s paint Heaven and Hell red.”
Feeling colder than I’ve ever had before, the images of Hell slowly began to make their way into my mind, tainting my intent that was already withering away from the concept of life.
Bael had said only at the fifth heaven can one fight instantaneously, from the perspective of those in the Fourth Heaven, and if that was the case, the only thing that mattered was how fast I could think.
Sucking in a deep breath, I pushed my attunement to the abyss to a deeper level, causing the runes to glow even brighter.
I moved.
Or Flashed, I didn’t know.
It had all happened in an instant. So quick that I could barely understand what I’d done, but blood the color of red and black came like a flood, staining the canvas of earth with its grace, as I slaughtered every Demon and Devil before they could understand what had happened.
