Modern: My Broken Sign In system
Chapter 39: Jupiter
The ship soon slowed down as it approached the city.
Ben could see a massive spaceport ahead of them. Hundreds of ships were arriving and departing at the same time, while smaller transport vehicles moved between different platforms.
The hyperdrive ship entered one of the designated landing routes and gradually descended.
After a few minutes, it finally landed.
Ben stood up and followed Amanda and Maya as they left the ship.
The moment they stepped into the spaceport, Ben noticed the difference between Jupiter and the Moon.
There were far more people here, and most of them were cultivators. Ben could sense celestial energy fluctuations coming from many of the people around him.
Some were only at the Bronze Realm, while others had reached the Silver Realm or even higher.
Ben quietly observed his surroundings.
"Jupiter is much busier than the Moon."
Maya nodded.
"That’s because Jupiter attracts cultivators from all over the Solar System. Many people come here to study, trade, complete missions, or search for cultivation opportunities."
Amanda looked toward Ben.
"Stay close to us for now. Once you enter Jupiter Academy, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore the planet."
Ben nodded.
The three of them left the spaceport and entered a waiting vehicle.
Unlike ordinary cars, the vehicle floated several meters above the ground and moved through a designated aerial route.
As they traveled through the city, Ben continued looking outside.
The city was enormous.
Tall buildings covered the surrounding area, and some of them were hundreds of meters high. Large screens displayed advertisements for cultivation techniques, weapons, pills, training facilities, and various other products.
There were also many shops selling materials that Ben had never seen before.
Maya noticed his interest.
"Most of the things you see here are related to cultivation. Jupiter has one of the largest markets in the Solar System."
Ben nodded.
"That explains why there are so many cultivators here."
Amanda smiled.
"Jupiter Academy is another major reason. Every year, countless young cultivators come to Jupiter because they want to enter the academy."
Ben looked ahead.
"How far is the academy?"
"We’ll be there soon," Amanda replied.
The vehicle continued moving through the city before gradually leaving the crowded areas.
After traveling for another twenty minutes, the buildings around them became less dense.
A massive structure soon appeared in the distance.
Ben’s eyes widened slightly.
Jupiter Academy was built across an enormous area of land. Several massive buildings could be seen behind its outer walls, along with training grounds, cultivation towers, arenas, and other facilities.
A large energy barrier surrounded the entire academy.
Ben could clearly feel the powerful celestial energy coming from inside.
"So that’s Jupiter Academy."
Maya nodded.
"Yes."
The vehicle stopped near the academy’s outer entrance.
Ben stepped out and looked at the enormous gates.
A large number of young cultivators had already gathered outside. Some had arrived with their families, while others had come with teachers or members of their organizations.
Most of them looked to be around Ben’s age.
Amanda looked at him.
"The entrance examination hasn’t started yet. We’ll wait here until the registration opens."
Ben nodded.
He looked around at the young cultivators nearby.
"There are quite a lot of people."
"Of course," Maya replied. "The examination is held only once a year, so many young cultivators come here hoping to get a place."
Ben nodded and calmly waited.
He wasn’t worried about the number of participants.
He had spent months preparing for this day, and he had also reached the First Stage of the Silver Realm.
More importantly, he had Morbius, his Ruination Beasts, Mist Walker, and Ruination Dimensions.
However, he knew he couldn’t reveal all of his abilities.
Amanda had repeatedly warned him to keep his unusual powers hidden, especially around people from other races and powerful organizations.
For the entrance examination, he planned to rely mainly on his swordsmanship, physical strength, celestial energy, and the abilities he could safely reveal.
After waiting for some time, a large screen above the entrance suddenly lit up.
A clear voice soon spread throughout the area.
"Registration for the Jupiter Academy entrance examination will begin in ten minutes."
The young cultivators around the entrance immediately became more active.
Ben looked toward the academy gates.
"It looks like it’s finally starting."
Amanda nodded.
"Remember what we discussed. Don’t reveal everything you can do."
"I know."
Ben smiled slightly.
"I’ll keep a few things hidden."
Maya laughed softly.
"That’s probably the safest approach."
A few minutes later, the academy gates slowly opened.
Several academy instructors walked out and began organizing the participants into different lines.
Ben followed Amanda and Maya toward the registration area.
Several long lines had already formed in front of the academy’s registration counters.
The instructors were checking the identity and cultivation levels of each participant before allowing them to register.
Amanda pointed toward one of the lines.
"Go ahead and register. We’ll wait nearby."
Ben nodded and joined the line.
He quietly observed the other participants while waiting for his turn.
Most of them were young cultivators around his age, although there were a few who looked slightly older.
Their cultivation levels varied, but most of them were around the Bronze Realm.
Ben also noticed several cultivators who had reached the Silver Realm.
There are quite a few strong candidates.
He wasn’t surprised.
Jupiter Academy was one of the most famous academies in the Solar System, so the entrance examination naturally attracted talented cultivators from many different planets.
The line slowly moved forward.
After waiting for several minutes, Ben finally reached the registration counter.
An academy instructor looked at him.
"Name?"
"Ben."
The instructor entered his name into the registration system.
"Age?"
"Seventeen."
"Current cultivation realm?"
"First Stage of the Silver Realm."
The instructor paused briefly after hearing his answer and looked at Ben again.
"You’ve already reached the Silver Realm at seventeen?"
Ben simply nodded.
The instructor didn’t ask any further questions and continued entering his information.
"Show me your identification."
Ben handed over his identification.
The instructor checked it before returning it to him.
"Your registration is complete. Your examination number is 1847."
He handed Ben a small identification token.
"This token will be used throughout the examination. Don’t lose it."
