Chapter 129: Thoughts on the Lesson

[3rd POV]

The lesson in question had been a pretty interesting experience for Billie. As she had found that the two girls in question were actually pretty interesting to teach. They were both pretty attentive, and listened very well.

Beyond finding out that Kylie had some true potential for singing, and was definitely one of the more talented people she had met, Billie had found out a few other things about the girls.

1: Kendall was better than Kylie at listening. As in, she understood things easier than her, and understood certain concepts easier than Kylie did. Kendall had learned a few techniques faster than Kylie.

2: Kylie was not as good as her sister when it came to listening and understanding things. But when she finally began to understand it, she was able to pull it off easier than her sister. And to a higher level as well. Basically meaning she was more talented in that particular area.

3: The two of them were far more agreeable than she was expecting, and neither of them had complained even once during the little training session. If anything, the two seemed to like it when she had made corrections to some of their mistakes, and was happy to learn from her.

4: Haley had been the one that Kylie had leaned towards in terms of aesthetic and who she preferred to learn from. While Kendall had gone to her, kind of pointing out the differences in taste between the two.

5: Both of them were very aware of the way their mother acted, and how difficult she would have made things should she have continued to be there. And both of them were very insistent that it was better that Kris did not sit in on any of their sessions, not even one.

Because she would ruin it, and likely make it miserable for both parties.

The girls were excellent students, and reminded Billie of the students that she had talked with before. She imagined that Kylie at the very least would fit in with Tori and the rest of her group, or at least fit in at that school.

But that school would only be a choice if she truly wanted to be a singer, and it wouldn't be suggested to her until Billie figured out if she actually cared enough about it to go all the way with it.

Kendall had already been pretty upfront about the fact that she simply wanted to learn some more about singing, and maybe make a few songs. She didn't want to make that her main passion, as she was more into modeling than anything.

It was Kylie that was genuinely interested in becoming a singer, but she would also take longer to go down that route due to her age. So, for now Kendall was the most likely of the two to become a proper singer.

That would change as Kylie aged, Billie was certain.

The training session had lasted around two hours or so, maybe a bit longer. Billie had decided that those two hours were fantastic, and she decided that training them for another session would be fine. She had also added some homework for the two, and they were both pretty interested in that.

Mostly because she assured them that it was not the type of homework from school, and would actually be fun and engaging. The exact opposite of the homework that the two of them were so used to her back at school.

Nobody liked school homework.

By the time they had finished, it was a bit later into the day, and the lesson had lasted long enough for them to learn a few key details and techniques. Mostly just the ones that could actually be learned in a single day, which was not that many.

And after Kris had been called and told about the session and that it was over, she had returned to the building around 20 minutes later. From the looks of it, Billie was pretty sure she had gone to the spa or something, as she looked freshened up.

That or she had gone home and had a shower or something, so the former was much more likely in her mind. Mostly because she had noticed that her nails were done more, her hair looked to have been trimmed or something, and she overall just looked like she had a bit more done than a simple shower or something.

Billie had talked with Kris about the lesson, and about the fact that she wanted the two to come back if Kris and Bruce were okay with it. Since she figured that she could at least get 5 lessons with them before their interest started to dwindle.

Kris had been hesitant to agree, but that hesitance had disappeared once Kylie and Kendall had hounded her over it. And after they had explained what they had learned, and told her about how much they had loved learning from her.

That and Billie had told her how talented her daughters truly were, and that alone kind of sealed the deal and made her far more interested in letting the sessions continue. Plus, Billie was pretty sure that if Kris had said no, the kids would go to Bruce, or even tell their half siblings about the "injustice" of not letting them continue.

And that would just cause a lot of drama, drama that Kris most likely could not be bothered to deal with.

Not with how the drama in their family tended to expand and grow beyond what it should be. Even if the drama itself was pretty stupid and not at all important.

All in all Billie had found herself pleased with the experience. The teaching of the two would continue for at least a couple of weeks, perhaps a month. And that was at minimum, and there was a decent enough chance that it would continue further.

Thanks to this, she also now found herself getting access to new connections that she previously didn't have, and she was also of course getting paid a decent bit for the lessons. Nothing too crazy, but it was still some money to use towards other things.

Billie contemplated if she wanted to try this sort of thing with others, as Kris had brought up the idea of testing the sessions with Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim. But Billie just didn't find the idea to be at all appealing. Since out of any member of the family, Khloe or Kourtney was the most likely to start some drama with her. At least, outside of Kris.

Mostly because Khloe liked to say some wild shit that was just flat out not appropriate, and she had a feeling that the woman would not be able to stop herself with her and the personality she had.

So, Billie had basically just stalled on that end, at least until she figured out if she was willing to even test that. As it could potentially ruin the chance for other sessions with Kendall and Kylie.

All in all, Billie had found that she had enjoyed the lessons, and she was looking forward to the next sessions.

She just hoped they were as enjoyable as this one.
