Before Jiang Fei could reach the deep waters, 0542 materialized a diving suit that wrapped around Jiang Fei.

“Give me an update,” Jiang Fei said.

“I am still currently tracking and identifying the source of the signal…” replied 0542.

Jiang Fei nodded and continued to dive with Ariel and Isabella clinging on to him.

They were about to head into the dark region of the deep sea, below 1,000 meters, where no sunlight could ever touch. It was the same feeling as when he was trekking through the dark cave with Miluya in the game. Without light, Jiang Fei got a little nervous.

By the time Jiang Fei had reached 3,000 meters under, 0542 reported an update.

“Captain, you may now stop diving.”

“What’s wrong? Is there something down there?” Jiang Fei asked, not about Braveheart but about enemies.

“There are no dangerous entities down there. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything at all. The signal that the radar had picked up was just an anomaly in the Earth’s magnetic field.”

“Really?! After all that diving?” Jiang Fei groaned. He had spent so much time and effort to dive 3,000 meters only to discover that it was just a magnetic field distortion.

“I do not comprehend that statement. It is both true and factual yet I cannot understand the purpose of you making that statement,” said 0542.

“I knew it! I knew that gay lord would bring me some bad luck! I should have washed for two more hours!” said Jiang Fei to himself.

“Gay lord? What is that?” both Isabella and Ariel responded almost instantly.

Both of them were strong Level 5 Metahumans and their mental powers were stronger and more sensitive than normal humans. Ariel, using the body of Phoenix, had inherited the powers of telepathy. Although she was not as strong, she was still able to sense the deep troubling emotions when Jiang Fei uttered the words “gay lord”.

“Nothing! It’s nothing!” Jiang Fei cried out loud. He would never explain the meaning behind those words nor the events that happened to him in the game. It was the most shameful incident that had happened to him.

After returning to the surface, Jiang Fei hopped onto the hoverboard and flew off speedily toward the second point.

“0542, try not to mess things up again,” said Jiang Fei, a little angry. He was upset, not because of the flop that 0542 made earlier, but because of the shameful incident.

“Captain, I am not omnipotent. My computing power and capability can only grant me a certain grasp to the laws of the universe. Therefore, I cannot ensure that the next discover would not be another natural phenomenon of the Earth.”

“0542, I was making an ironic statement. Could you at least learn to pick up on that? The best thing you could do for me now is to console me,” said Jiang Fei, making a sulky face.

“My apologies, Captain. Please retract that order. I am refrained from providing any false statement to you,” said 0542 immediately. 0542’s evolution progress was still at its basic form. It had yet to learn how to detect human emotions and how to respond to it correspondingly.

“Ugh… fine. Tell the truth and nothing but the truth. Not like I’m not used to hearing it all the time,” said Jiang Fei.

The group arrived at the second point shortly after Jiang Fei was done with the conversation.

“0542, check if we are at the right place,” said Jiang Fei. Like previously, he wanted 0542 to make sure that there weren’t any dangerous beings down there. Not that he was afraid, he just did not want Isabella to fight at all.

“Scanning… Captain, we are at the right place and there are not dangerous life forms in our vicinity,” said 0542.

“Be careful, dear…” said Isabella before Jiang Fei dove into the sea.

“I will.”

Isabella was quiet during the previous dive but not this time. Her gut feeling became stronger the moment they arrived at the second point.

Jiang Fei took the lead, followed by Ariel and then Isabella.

“Ariel, pay attention to the surroundings. Make sure to protect darling at all times,” said Isabella using telepathy.

“Yes, sister,” Ariel responded without Jiang Fei knowing about the conversation.

After a 1,000 meter dive, Jiang Fei asked 0542 again.

“Have you detected the source of signal?”

“Signal detection scanning…. Completed. Captain, it is a part of Braveheart. I have the signal locked on,” said 0542.

Heh. Finally, it’s over! Jiang Fei rejoiced, thinking that the bad luck that the incident had rubbed off him was gone.

The group dove further down, and after an hour or so, they had arrived close to the bottom of the sea, at more than 5,000 meters below sea level.

Just as Jiang Fei was starting to have trouble breathing and wanting to have 0542 adjust his suit pressure, 0542’s alarm blared in his mind.

“Warning! Warning! Space-Time distortion detected!”

Before Jiang Fei could even gasp, Isabella was the first to react. She quickly swam forward and positioned herself in front of Jiang Fei. The energy in her body was flowing faster but not strong enough to trigger the berserk form. At the same time, Ariel swam further and was ready to fight.

Before Jiang Fei could ask 0542 to explain the situation, a powerful surge of energy could be seen below them. Ripples of energy appeared to tear space apart. A short while later, a rift was opened and several humanoid figures emerged from the rift.

“That’s Spacial Rift! How is that possible?!” Jiang Fei roared. That was a method of traveling that he knew all too well since it was one of the traveling methods using Namek’s technology! Jiang Fei was not able to properly utilize that method of traveling since the parts he had of Braveheart was insufficient to generate a rift in space!

“Alert. Level 5 Supreme Being detected.”

“Code Black. Activated Protocol 99 respond sequence.”

Jiang Fei may have been startled by the Unknowns, but the feeling was mutual. From the looks of it, they too were seeking to collect parts of Braveheart. It was purely coincidental for both sides to bump into each other.

“Threat analysis complete. Male, low threat. Larger female, medium threat. Smaller female, high threat.”

“Battle analysis… Complete. Victory probability: 85%. Advice: Capture of High Energy Being.”

“Advice Received, Approved. Battle number 1175 recording. We may now proceed.”

After exchanging a few short transmissions, the Unknowns started to attack Jiang Fei and the girls.

“Activated Triple Count Particle Beam Cannon. Proceeding to destroy the weakest target,” said the leader of the Unknown.

A three-round shot was fired, all aimed toward Jiang Fei.

“Watch out!” Ariel yelled as she hurried to Jiang Fei’s side, creating a light barrier to deflect the oncoming beam projectile.

“Maintain cannon output power and fire continuous rounds. Destroy that nullification field,” said the leader of the Unknowns.

“Big sister! These attacks are too powerful for me to hold off!” cried Ariel as she gritted her teeth. Creating the barrier was one thing, but maintaining it whilst being attacked by a Level 5 tier beam attack was no piece of cake!
