Though the Apparatus stated that him being the first to come up with the idea was a matter of fact, Ataraxia still doubted the claim, just like how he doubted the claim from earlier.
“Are you really telling me that no one else in the universe has come up with the idea before?” he asked, staring at the screen in front of him with scrutiny. “With how long the universe has existed and how many people there are…”
“I’m seriously the first one to come up with it?”
[Well…]
Surprisingly, the system spent a bit of time coming up with the right words.
[If we were to be more specific, then you’re the first to truly act upon the idea.]
“The difference?” asked Ataraxia in return, feeling like it was beating around the bush with its statement.
[As you’ve just stated, with how long the universe has existed and how many people exist within it, the idea of understanding the runes that allow one to gain greater understanding of Mystic Energy isn’t original.]

Hearing those words, a look of surprise flashed through the young man’s face, only for it to then be replaced with understanding.
“I guess that makes sense,” said Ataraxia with a slight nod. “After all, the number of people that have access to Mystic Energy aren’t a lot.”
[As of this moment, there are roughly around 180,000 beings that are capable of wielding Mystic Energy.]
In response to the young man’s train of thought, the system decided to expand upon it.
[Out of these beings, around 95% of them only have a rudimentary to basic grasp of Mystic Energy.]
[4% have an intermediate understanding of the energy, allowing them to make greater use of the energy’s adaptive capabilities.]
[However, only the remaining 1% meet the level of control needed to embark your current endeavor, gaining what you call ’true manipulation’ over Mystic Energy.]
Reading through these words, Ataraxia remained silent as his mind did its best to process and organize this information.
[Of course, mastery over Mystic Energy alone is insufficient. One must also have access to the concept plane you’re currently in, which would give one the opportunity to come into contact with the runes you’ve begun to dissect.]
[For that, only a percent of that remaining percentage have access to the energy’s concept plane. Though, only a quarter of that fraction gained the plane’s true recognition.]
Dissecting the roundabout way the system spoke about the number of beings that had access to the Mystic Plane, Ataraxia swiftly came to the conclusion that around 20 people had access to the Mystic Plane.
Of course, whether or not that access was achieved through brute force was an entirely different question.
’In short, the system just confirmed that the people I know are the only ones that have gained the Mystic Plane’s recognition,’ thought the young man to himself as he faintly nodded in understanding.
’But still… the fact that almost 200,000 people have control over Mystic Energy throughout the universe is insane.’
’…On second thought, not really.’
[Only those that have gained the plane’s true recognition and have a high level of control over Mystic Energy are truly capable of embarking the same endeavor you’ve embarked.]
Giving off the feeling that it was waiting for Ataraxia to pay attention once more, the system waited for a bit before replacing the contents of its screen with its continuation.
[Throughout the universe’s history, over a thousand people have met this requirement, most of which occupied a high, if not the pinnacle position of power within the energy’s concept plane.]
The young man nodded at that.

[If we were to be more specific, only two out of these eight gave the idea greater thought, eventually creating what you would consider as a compound Mystic Rune.]
[Neither of the two had thought of dissecting the compound Mystic Rune to its constituent parts, nor had they thought of understanding the runes making up their Mystic Runes to that degree.]

With the system confirming what he was trying to deny three times in a row, Ataraxia felt like he had no choice but to accept the fact that he was the first to come up with the idea.
“Insane,” he muttered after the fact, still feeling like the entire thing was a bit surreal.
Then again… the fact that another version of himself existed at the same time he did was also surreal.
Closing his eyes for a bit to get a better grasp of the things the system shared with him, Ataraxia began to ask it questions that weren’t about denying what he had done.
“So, was this entire situation made just to inform me that I’ve done something significant?”

“And how would it do that?” asked Ataraxia in return, raising his eyebrow in slight curiosity.
[Aside from collating all of the information you’ve gathered on the matter thus far, the Apparatus seeks to aid you by transforming your understanding of the matter into skills that would allow you to utilize said understanding to a greater degree.]
[Once enough skills related to the matter have been formed and a deep enough understanding of it has been achieved, the formation of an entirely new class is highly possible, its might comparable to the classes wielded by those with divinity.]
[However, even if this isn’t achieved, the Apparatus shall still take note and compensate you accordingly in various ways.]
[After all, what you’ve done is trek on a path above those that seek to create Origin.]
“…Above Origin?” Ataraxia tilted his head in slight confusion at those words, not understanding what the system meant by that.
Fortunately, the latter was more than eager to shed more light on what it meant.
[Whether it’s to achieve Origin or the path above it, both have the purpose of bringing about something new in the universe.]
[For Origins, achieving this purpose is usually done through the combination of multiple concepts that already exist, whether it be as a series of skills, a type of energy, a class, or a set of species.]
[On the other hand, only those that uncover something not yet discovered before, or those that create something out of nothing, are the ones eligible to trek on the path above Origin.]
[To distinguish them from the myriad number of Origins throughout the universe, the Apparatus has given those that achieve this higher path a different name.]
