MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1698 1698: Entering Seclusion (4)

After that, the two of them discussed where they would grind the XP they would need, hoping to maximize the amount of XP they gained per kill while also minimizing the time spent doing so.

At first, both Valyr and Ataraxia thought about heading to the Akashic Battlefield located at the Algerie Kingdom.

However, after considering how scattered the monsters were and how they would possibly have to share the same place with other people, the two of them eventually shifted their focus elsewhere.

Naturally, the two of them also recalled the outbreak of orcs that happened with the Akashic Battlefield while Valyr was there, which further discouraged them from going with it.

Setting their sights even closer to where they were, Ataraxia suggested that the two of them could grind the XP they needed at the Experience Pit located at Astella City.

Though, with a bit of thought, the two of them concluded that heading there wouldn’t be worth it either, especially considering that the strongest enemy they could fight there was capped to the peak of Rank 5.

With both the Experience Pit and the Akashic Battlefield out of the question, both Valyr and Ataraxia stared at each other for a bit before understanding that there was only one place in their minds that fit the criteria.

The Meltierre Killing Grounds.

Though a great distance separated them from the place, heading there wouldn’t be too much of a problem, given that both of them had access to the Teleportation Halls of their respective class guilds.

Not only that, but the Meltierre Killing Grounds combined the best parts of the Experience Pit and the Akashic Battlefield, giving one the ability to fight against a constant barrage of Myth-level beings without worrying about sharing the monsters with others.

As they thought about how they’d grind their XP at the Meltierre Killing Grounds, the two of them also realized that the place was also their opportunity to obtain some of the titles they’ve missed before being separated.

For Ataraxia, those titles would be [Slayer of Ascendants] and [Apex Hunter].

Though, considering that there was the possibility that even the level of Myth-level beings they could fight was capped, the young man would already be satisfied with obtaining [Slayer of Ascendants].

On the other hand, with him already having [Slayer of Ascendants] and [Apex Hunter], it went without saying that Valyr could aim to obtain his own copy of [Anathema of the Ascended].

In fact, obtaining it while grinding XP at the Meltierre Killing Grounds would be ideal for him, considering that the title’s effects only grew stronger if he killed monsters that were Elite-tier or higher.

With their minds made up on what they’d do after ascending to Rank 5, the two of them went ahead and continued with their final preparations, with Valyr aiming to push the 81 Phases Mana Reformation Scripture as far as he could within a month.

As for Ataraxia, with the mana he controlled now at the strongest version it could currently reach, he decided to work on his mana circuit while waiting for his other self.

After all, the last time he had touched his mana circuit was before he even obtained his class.

In fact, after he had obtained his current class [Emissary of the Arcane], the quality of his mana circuit had been improved, transforming into the skill he knew it as today.

Yet, even after the skill had regained parts it had lost due to the passage of time, the young man’s accomplishments in the skill still remained at the 3rd Stage.

‘Speaking of which, did the effects of the skill improve after the class transformed it?’

As this question came to mind, Ataraxia went ahead and brought up the skill’s description, recalling that the skill boosted the efficacy of his spells by 25%, while reducing both the cost and cooldown of spells by 12.5% after reaching the 3rd Stage.

However, now that he had gotten another glimpse at its description, he noticed that its effects had considerably improved, now giving him a 30% boost to efficacy, while reducing both cost and cooldown by 15%.

‘I wonder how much of an improvement my spells would receive after pushing this mana circuit to its highest stage?’ asked the young man to himself, closing the screen he brought up as he went through the information needed to practice the skill.

As he had already practiced the previous version of the skill to its 3rd Stage, Ataraxia already had a rough idea of what he needed to do in order to increase his mastery of the skill to the next stage.

Though, considering how the name of the skill now had the term ‘One Star’ added to it, the young man decided to refresh his knowledge of the skill, only to end up thanking himself for thinking of doing so in the first place.

Back when his mana circuit skill was still known as [Three Revolutions, Nine Cycles], the progression involved the opening of acupoints and meridians within one’s body in a certain order, circulating energy through them to empower its properties.

From what he could recall, by the time he reached the 10th and final stage of the skill, he would be circulating his energy through their three circuits at the same time, each of which being a mirror copy of the circuit he had comprehended during the 3rd Stage.

On the other hand, after the skill had turned into its current version, the need to simultaneously circulate his energy through three circuits had been removed.

Instead, he would only have to circulate his energy through a circuit once.

However, unlike the small circuit he had already formed beforehand, he would have to circulate his energy through three of the small circuits in a row, causing the quality of his energy to undergo exponential growth.

Though the skill’s limit was still at the 10th Stage, the goal of the stage had been changed thanks to the transformation, which prompted Ataraxia to create a star that would facilitate the passive circulation of mana through the circuit.

Although the circuit’s effects would be diminished in the process, the young man still saw it as a boon, seeing as how he didn’t have to actively circulate his energy to tap into its effects anymore.

Of course, the option of actively utilizing the skill still existed, which would bring the effects of the skill back to its full potency.

With his knowledge of his mana circuit skill refreshed, Ataraxia spent some time composing himself before closing his eyes, eventually focusing his senses inward as he began to work on improving his mana circuit.

‘Now that I think about it…’

‘Didn’t Valyr say he was going to work on the Truth Weaver Scripture?’
