Chapter 155 Final Blow
“Gah!”
As Valyr turned his head to look at Riekan, the latter felt a throbbing pain radiate from his chest as he tightly clutched at it, kneeling on the ground before taking a few deep breaths soon after. Then, once he felt that the pain had subsided somewhat, he went ahead and took a look at Eir who stood beside him, oblivious to what had just happened.
After that, Riekan shifted his gaze to look at Valyr, whose expression only served to stoke the flames of anger in his body. Though the man’s expression seemed neutral, Riekan knew that the gaze this human had towards him contained hints of mockery towards his current condition.
Nevertheless, seeing as one of his trusted aides had fallen to the ground due to the human’s boorish tactics, the flames of anger within Riekan’s body burned even brighter, prompting him to send more energy towards the other being that stood beside him, causing him to feel yet another wave of pain envelop his body.
Even though he had the urge to contort his body in various positions, Riekan tightly gritted his teeth, clenching his fist in the meantime while enduring the pain he felt. At some point, he felt his nails dig into skin as blood started to drip out of his clenched fist. However, that did not deter him from continuing to infuse more of his energy towards Eir.
In the meantime, seeing that Riekan had entered a state of weakness after making Nak fall to the ground, Valyr went ahead and shot a [Crimson Blaze] at him, wanting to take advantage of the opportunity where he was open to any attack. Unfortunately, just as it seemed like the crimson fireball he sent would connect, Eir intercepted the fireball with a fireball of his own, causing the two to explode in midair as the aura emanating from Eir gradually increased.
Naturally, Valyr noticed that the aura emanating from Riekan had become substantially weaker after what he had just done, with Eir’s aura experiencing a substantial increase in power. With that, he went ahead and ran around the room once more to avoid any attacks sent at him while he gauged the current situation, using [Analysis] on both Riekan and Eir.
Sometime later, after avoiding a couple of the attacks both Eir and the seemingly weakened Riekan sent at him, the system had finally sent him information of the two’s stats in his mind, causing his eyes widen in slight surprise, only for a slight grin to appear on his face soon after as he felt like there was finally hope in beating this boss.
Ding!

“Since Eir’s tier increased to Rare Elite thanks to what Riekan just did, Riekan basically went down a tier after I killed Nak,” Valyr muttered to himself as gears turned in his mind. Soon after, he tightly gripped on his spear once more as he changed direction, directly making his way to where Riekan and Eir stood.
“If what I’m inferring is correct, then killing Eir would take Riekan’s strength down by another tier.” With the thought in mind, Valyr went ahead and dodged a mana-infused slash from Riekan and a massive fireball from Eir with an [Elusive Dash], appearing a few meters closer to the two as he sent out a [Crimson Blaze] in response.
Seeing that the [Crimson Blaze] was heading towards Eir beside him rather than himself, Riekan could not help but let out a furious growl as he felt great offense from Valyr’s action, moving in front of Eir to deflect the fireball with his blade.

However, just as Riekan thought he would be facing against another of Valyr’s attacks head-on, what he instead received was a strong kick to the side of his abdomen, briefly glimpsing a ferocious grin on the human’s face before flying for a few meters.
“It’s only you and me, Eir.” With Riekan out of the picture in the meantime, Valyr looked at the goblin pyromancer before him and decided to say a few words, only to receive a string of crimson fireballs in response. Letting out a sigh after realizing that the mage he had fought earlier was now just a shell of his former shelf, Valyr unhesitatingly sent a spear towards Eir’s head, causing the latter’s head to burst into multiple chunks as a crimson red number appeared atop it.
Bang!
‘-682!!!’
“Agh!” Just as Valyr heard Riekan scream out in pain once more from afar, a blade of lightning directly hit him on the side of his abdomen, being sent flying for a couple of meters as he felt a wave of pain wash over his body.
Clank!
‘-154’
Then, as if that attack alone wasn’t enough for Riekan, just as Valyr stood up from the attack, two more blades of lightning landed on Valyr’s armor once more as a maddened Riekan dashed at him.
‘-152’
‘-304!’
“Die!” Riekan shouted as he slashed down in front of Valyr, prompting the latter to take a step back as he fired a [Crimson Blaze] at the former’s face.
Bang!
‘-310!!’
Surprisingly, even though Riekan knew that Valyr would do something like this, his sword could not move fast enough, allowing the attack to connect as he was temporarily blinded.
“[Inferior Heal]!” Healing up the portion of health he had lost from the three attacks, Valyr went ahead and activated [Offense Aura] before landing a [Descending Fang] on Riekan.
Bang!
‘-2119!!!’
“Graagh!” With a large chunk of his health being removed in one instance, Riekan could not help but let out a cry in pain, only to be sent flying as Valyr squarely hit him with a full-powered kick on his chest.
Whoosh!
‘-55’
“[Analysis].” Deciding that now was the best time to retaliate, Valyr ran to where he predicted Riekan to land, activating [Analysis] along the way to see if the idea he had in mind earlier was right.

[Riekan the Vengeful Magic Blademaster (Rare Elite)] (Level 15 | Boss)
HP: 2516/5000
MP: 154/1000
Stats: 42 VIT, 37 STR, 30 AGI, 30 DEX, 46 INT, 26 WIS, 26 PER, 26 LUK
Remarks: Thrash him.

Seeing that Riekan’s tier had gone further down to Rare Elite tier rather than Epic Elite tier, Valyr could not help but wonder how Riekan’s tier had decreased by one more tier, only to recall the energy Riekan had given to Eir earlier before their brief bout.
With his curiosity satisfied, Valyr went ahead and closed the status screen just as he had arrived at where he predicted Riekan was going to land, kicking Riekan on his back seconds before the latter made contact with the ground.
“Gah!”
‘-110!’
Thud!
Landing face first onto the ground, immense pain coursed throughout Riekan’s battered body as he heard footsteps come closer to where he landed. Feeling the energy coursing throughout his body earlier had now mostly disappeared, a faint feeling of fear emerged from within as he turned around to look at Valyr.
“Die!” Nevertheless, he was adamant to not show the human any possible signs of weakness, slashing out with the silver blade he held. Though he had consumed most of the energy he had towards summoning Nak and Eir through the magic circles, even going so far as to infuse Eir with even more energy, Riekan promised himself that he wouldn’t go down without a fight. Unfortunately for him…
There was no fight to begin with.
“[Venomous Strike].”
Bang!
‘-2911!!!’
Seeing that Riekan had basically left himself open to attacks, Valyr went ahead and sent a [Venomous Strike] towards Riekan’s head, noticing that the effect of [Offense Aura] was still active.
In response, Riekan could only watch as Valyr’s spear pierced through his skull without difficulty in a daze, with Valyr inwardly thanking past him for buying [Offense Aura] and [Defense Aura] before tackling the dungeon.
He especially thanked his past self for buying [Offense Aura], as well as leveling it up to Level 6 since it increased the damage he dealt, to the point where a Fatal [Venomous Strike] was enough to shave off the remaining HP Riekan had.
Eventually, the latter fell to the ground with a light thud as Valyr retracted his spear.
“It’s finally over,” muttered Valyr as he caught his breath, taking in deep breaths from time to time, allowing his body to finally relax. After all, after fighting against what was basically three bosses in one, he was certain that Riekan didn’t have any more surprises up his sleeve.
Rumble…
“Motherfucker…”
