[(+20) Transcendental Half Wyvern Chestplate of Arcane Origins (Artifact)] (Level 67 | Lifebound)
Rarity: Epic+
Foundation: 1st Tier
Defense: 1,764 – 2,940
Forge Quality: Transcendent
Additional Attributes:
> VIT +170
> STR +144
> INT +234
Forged under the cooperation between the Emissary of the Arcane and a blacksmith that has gotten close to the origin of the craft, this chestplate was originally intended by the blacksmith as a minor experiment to see how far an emulation of an artifact could be pushed.
In the end, with its quality enhanced beyond belief and its entire being infused with the blood of the Emissary of the Arcane, the answer they arrived at was far greater than they had imagined, with the heavens recognizing it as a bona fide artifact.
Though the chestplate still contains traces of its original concept, some of these concepts have been superseded by the might of the Arcane concept, while others have fused together to achieve something greater.
Considering that this chestplate was originally the weakest version of the armor set it is based off of, its potential to reach greater heights is second to none, with even the maker and its owner curious as to what it could reach.
Nevertheless, one thing about it remains true.
And that is the fact that whether it reaches the pinnacle of its potential or remains as is, it is a chestplate that almost anyone would fight to obtain for themselves.
<Innate Skill 1: Draconic Might of the Arcane Origin – The origin of the Arcane concept manifests in a myriad number of ways, manifesting within the armor as a ferocious half-wyvern. The level requirement for this armor has been reduced by 12 levels.>
<Innate Skill 2: Manifestation of the Arcane Origin – As a piece of armor infused with the Emissary of the Arcane’s blood, it has gained a faint connection with the Arcane concept, allowing its user to unleash greater power.
While equipped, this armor increases all of the user’s stats, max HP, and max MP by 3%. This armor also increases the user’s HP and MP regeneration rate by 5%. This effect is doubled once the full set is worn.>
<Innate Skill 3: Chaotic Breath of Arcane Origins – The origin of the Arcane concept manifests in a myriad number of ways, manifesting within the armor as a ferocious half-wyvern.
This skill allows the user to shoot out a conic burst of flames in front of them, targeting all enemies within an 8 meter radius, dealing damage equivalent to 450% of the user’s Attack stat (based on INT).
The damage dealt by the skill is doubled if cast within the Draconic Realm of Arcane Origins. Cooldown: 15 minutes. Cost: 25,000 MP. (Requires the entire set to be fully worn)>
<Innate Skill 4: Draconic Realm of Arcane Origins – The origin of the Arcane concept manifests in a myriad number of ways, manifesting within the armor as a ferocious half-wyvern.
This skill allows the user to conjure a domain around the user encompassing 100 meters in radius, temporarily increasing the user’s MP regeneration rate by 30% while decreasing the cooldown of all skills and magic spells by 15%.
Has unique effects depending on the skill cast. Cooldown: 3 hours. Cost: 50,000 MP | 2,500 MP per second. (Requires the entire set to be fully worn)>

<Transcendental Half Wyvern Set (Arcane Origins Variant) | 1/6>
Set Effects:
– 2 pieces: Attack and Defense +30%, MP regeneration rate +30%
– 3 pieces: HP +6,000 and MP +12,000
– 4 pieces: All stats +25, Attack stat now scales off INT by 102%
– 5 pieces: All stats +5%, Attack stat now scales off INT by 105%
– 6 pieces: All previous effects are enhanced by 20%, Attack stat now scales off INT by 110%
Remarks: Found the reason. This was the reason why your previous piece of equipment wasn’t considered an artifact.
It might not be obvious, but… this is more fucking broken than the one you previously upgraded.

“…”
“…Is this still even the same piece of armor?”
Although Ataraxia fully understood each word that was on his screen, the young man had to read through the item’s description a few more times just for him to wrap his head around it.
With that, the amount of disbelief he felt towards the piece of armor they created had reached a level that not even the upgrade to Valyr’s pauldrons could achieve.
In fact, both of them were stunned at how powerful the armor had become, even though the changes they made to the forging process was relatively minimal.
“Now I’m curious how much your stats would increase once you equip the full set.” After letting the shock and disbelief they felt from the chestplate subside, Valyr eventually looked at Ataraxia with a slight smile, a hint of anticipation in his eyes.
“It would probably match yours,” replied Ataraxia after a bit of thought, smiling in return. “If I were to reach the peak of Rank 4, I’d say my stats would be above yours by then.”
“Not if I upgrade my entire set of armor first,” said Valyr in return, causing Ataraxia to let out a chuckle in response.
Yet, the young man was serious. “In fact, with how the chestplate turned out, I’m kind of tempted to recreate the armor from scratch.”
“…If I hadn’t already used parts of the Elder Wyvern to upgrade the pauldrons beforehand, I probably would’ve made the switch right now.”
“Well…” Ataraxia could only scratch his cheek at those words. “You could still craft a new armor set and keep that one, no? Pretty sure I remember you planning to make a set of armor for each combat style back then.”
“…Yeah.” Valyr nodded after giving his other self’s suggestion some thought. “But I still have to figure out a way to attune the new set to the combat style I plan to use it on… unless if I go with a different armor set altogether.”
“I mean…” The latter shrugged at those words. “Considering how my blood changed the chestplate to be more attuned to magic, I wouldn’t be surprised if adding a similar material would have similar effects to it. It’s just a matter of trial and error at that point.”
“True.”
Remaining silent for a while after that, Valyr eventually decided to take a look at the remaining notifications he got from forging the chestplate, only to find out that he had gained two titles because of it.
The two titles he obtained in question were [Recognition of the Forging Path] and [Transcendental Forger — Stage II], both of which increased his forging speed, as well as the final stats his resulting equipment would have.
Valyr obtained [Recognition of the Forging Path] for achieving a feat on the path of forging that was recognized by the heavens, which in this case was improving what was originally a piece of Uncommon+ armor to Epic+ grade.
As for [Transcendental Forger — Stage II], it was more of a general title similar to [Forger of Epics], [Forger of Legends], and [Forger of Artifacts] wherein it was based on how much he had improved a certain blueprint.
With the chestplate being two tiers higher than its original version, the young man had obtained the Stage II version of the title, which boosted his forging speed by 10% and the base stats of his forged equipment by 6%.
Add on the 5% boost to both areas from [Recognition of the Forging Path], Valyr could not help but feel a hint of excitement towards the other pieces of equipment he would forge later down the line, curious as to how they would stack up compared to equipment other blacksmiths made.
And thus, the two continued to hole themselves up in the workshop as almost four months naturally passed by.
