MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1293 Choosing a Class (1)

“Aaaahhhh! I shouldn’t have aimed for the 3rd stage!”

Coming to the conclusion that he spent over a week in Greater Beyond reaching the 3rd stage of the Records, Valyr’s expression was filled with regret as he began to lament over the time he wasted.

“Over a week. Over an entire goddamn week!”

“I could have used that time to grind out some more XP for levels, or perhaps I could have used that time to source all of the equipment I’d need to transition to Rank 1 smoothly.”

“But noooo…” said the young man, his tone filled with self-mockery. “I decided that improving my species was the best idea.”

“After all, that would allow me to have better choices during my ascension, right?”

At those words, the young man eventually let out a sigh, feeling as if all of the anger he aimed towards himself had finally disappeared.

“Well, the time I spent wasn’t really all that useless,” murmured Valyr after a bit of thought. “But the fact still stands that almost two days have passed on Earth since I entered Greater Beyond.”

Scratching the back of his head at the thought, the young man began to wonder what would happen to his body back on Earth if he were away for that long.

Would it begin to deteriorate since he basically hadn’t eaten any food for two days?

Or would he only feel a bit of weakness once he returned? Would it be possible to resolve it with a filling meal and a hearty glass of water?

Honestly, Valyr didn’t know. After all, this was the first time he’d spent such a long time in Greater Beyond.

If anything, the longest he’d gone without leaving Greater Beyond back then was a full day on Earth. And that was only possible after preparing multiple sets of nutrients that would allow his body to remain as it was while he was focused on the game. Sёarᴄh the NôvelFire(.)net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Aside from that, perhaps I’ve missed some messages and calls from a couple of people,” muttered the young man after pondering it over for a bit more, only to let out yet another sigh after some time.

“Did Thomas already tell Meria and Lucques about the money-making scheme we did? Did they send me a text while I was focused on completing the Records?”

“…Haah.” In the end, the young man decided not to think about it any further, reminding himself that it was always possible to return things to how they were with just a bit of effort and time.

With that, Valyr began to look at his decision to complete the 3rd stage of Records once more from a more positive perspective, inwardly telling himself that he’d made the right decision to go with it rather than delay it.

“After all, who knows if one ascension was all that would stop me from reaching the pinnacle version of a Mystic Human?”

Thinking that there really wouldn’t be much point in leaving Greater Beyond just as he finished the 3rd stage of the Records, Valyr decided to extend his stay in the game just a little bit longer.

“Yeah. I guess that would be more than enough time for me to adjust to the changes. Other than that, I also have take the possibility of me falling unconscious into consideration,” said the young man to himself, faintly nodding as he made up his mind.

“System, I would like to ascend.”

Ding!

With him having done pretty much everything he could at his current rank, the only thing that was left for him to do was none other than to ascend to the next class rank.

Whoosh!

Staring at the two screens in front of him, the young man began to smile as he noticed that the number of options available for him were multiple times longer than the number he had back in his other self.

‘Then again, that should be no surprise,’ thought Valyr to himself as he focused his attention on the screen to his left, its contents filled to the brim with the various species he could choose from.

“Hmm…” Narrowing his eyes as he looked over the choices he had for his species as a soon-to-be Rank 1 class holder, the young man soon commanded the system to arrange his choices according to their power, briefly reminding him of the time he did the same thing during his ascension to Rank 4.

Ding!

Watching the various species arrange themselves on their own accord, it was only after the system had given him confirmation did he finally take a look at his possible choices in greater detail.

Please select the species you would like to take as your Rank 1 species:

Esper

Mystic Human (1st Unsealing)

Mana Child

Arcane Child

Human (1st Unsealing)

Three-eyed Human

[Note that the chosen species would have ‘Junior Defier of Fate’ attached to them.]

“Huh. That’s interesting.” Seeing that the system had given him Esper as a possible choice to take as his Rank 1 species, Valyr slightly raised his eyebrows in interest, only to let out a chuckle not long after.

“Since I got the option to become an Esper just because I’m a Mystic Human at Rank 0, would that mean that I had the possibility to become a High Human if I had discovered my other self’s true identity before ascending to Rank 1?”

Although he found the train of thought somewhat amusing, the young man was not tempted by the option to become an Esper whatsoever, knowing that he’d be cutting himself from achieving greater power if he were to do so.

Nevertheless, that did not stop him from taking a look at the other top choices the system gave him.

“Both Mana Child and Arcane Child probably popped up as choices due to my inclination of becoming a mage,” murmured Valyr to himself, only to confirm his suspicions through the species’ descriptions.

After taking a brief look at what Three-eyed Human had to offer, Valyr eventually made the obvious choice for his species at Rank 1, allowing him to proceed on to the list of classes the system procured for him.
