Chapter 809 Sebastian’s Growth
Chapter 809 Sebastian’s Growth
.𝗰𝗼𝗺For Sebastian, Kremeth was everything.
When he was at his lowest point in life having lost his body, his confidence and his ability as a warrior, Kremeth took him in as a disciple and groomed him into the man that he was today.
He wasn’t as talented as Max, he wasn’t as sharp as Anna nor was he as ferocious as Asiva.
His greatest strength was that nobody took him seriously and hence he was able to get along with anyone he wanted to, afterall who would make enemies out of a jester?
However, despite all his short comings his master chose to hand over to him the Vayu-Astra, his most prized possession when he himself needed it more, just to ensure that despite his short comings he could continue standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the rest of his comrades.
For Sebastian who had grown up without the love of a father, these actions meant the world.
However, his father like master, the one he looked upto, was brutally killed by Angakok and since that day, Sebastian had not slept a single night peacefully.
The church, the role of the pope, his mission to immortalise his master’s legacy, everything was an attempt by Sebastian to compensate for his death, however, he could never find the closure he wanted.
For 12 years, he delved deeper and deeper into the powers of the Vayu-Astra and the Indra-Astra, the two divine weapons in his possession and he tried hard to mix their powers to create an ultimate attack.
For 12 years, he tried again and again, for 12 years he dreamed about the moment that he would finally come face to face against Angakok, the bastard who killed his master….. and unleash that ultimate attack on him.
For the first four years, the combination of wind and thunder seemed impossible, whenever he tried to compress those two elements together it resulted in an unstable explosion.
Sometimes the explosion was nothing special, however on other occasions Sebastian lost over 50-70% of his HP bar trying to bend the laws of the universe.
Year 5, he had minor success as through repeated failures he began understanding the core principles of the elements of thunder and wind.
If he were in his old body, controlling thunder would have been easier since it was his bloodline affinity to exert control over that element just like Max could over blood, however, since he was stuck in the body of a dwarf the process to mastering thunder was much more difficult.
It took him 2 years to master thunder and when he reached perfection over the element he was able to unlock a hidden form within the Indra-Astra, one that allowed him to propagate electricity throughout his body freely.
The sparkling eyes, sparks flying from fingers and random incineration of nearby grass or leaves was a sign that he was in his thunder form, however, only mastering thunder was not enough-
After mastering thunder, Sebastian had to perfectly understand the principles behind the [ Way Of The Wind ] as well and having already perfected the first level, it took him only 1.5 years with the help of the Vayu-Astra to learn it fully.
Although mastering thunder and wind did not give him any additional combat benefit, since having the two Astra already he could already exert the two elements to their full potential, however, it was invaluable in his attempts to merge them.
Once he realised the nature of lightning and wind, he realised that the only way to merge them was to use the thunder to create significant potential difference to ionise the wind and then use the ionised wind that turned from an insulator with high resistance to a conductor with almost no resistance, and use it to discharge the most lethal lightning strike known to the universe.
The entire manoeuvre was extremely complicated to perform, however, through thorough practice and a lot of hatred for Angakok, Sebastian managed to master it.
” 12 years….. I’ve waited for this moment 12 fucking years ” Sebastian said as he looked at Angakok with an almost maniacal look in his sparkling eyes.
Angakok, who had gone through a lot of trouble to isolate Sebastian in the fight, pouced at the opportunity to attack him, however, he could have never predicted what he was in for-
As he approached Sebastian, the skies above his head opened up and a windstorm started to brew in a powerful circle.
Over 200 lightning bolts struck all at once, as Angakok, thinking that this was the attack move, weaved through them with great care, thinking that despite the strength and the range of the attack he was doing well to dodge it.
Slowly but surely, he made his way towards Sebastian who stood rooted to his spot and took in a whiff of the crisp smell of ozone and ionised nitrogen signalling that the air was ready for the finale.
Just as Angakok reached within 5 metres of him, Sebastian raised both his hands towards the sky, his pupils fully converting to a raging thunderbolt as blue sparks began flying out of his fingers towards heaven.
Then suddenly, the colour of Sebastian’s eyes turned golden and so did the sparks flying out of his body, as when Angakok reached within a two metres radius, Sebastian finally made his move-
[ Divine Move – A Coward’s Revenge ]
Sebastian called on his self created technique which he named ‘ Coward’s Revenge ‘ technique as he brought down his raised arm and at that moment all hell broke loose.
A blinding golden flash covered the sky and a pillar of pure unfiltered lightning descended from the heavens covering every square inch in a 200 metres radius.
*KABOOOOOM*
The divine lightning kept pouring and pouring as the attack lasted for a full 5 minutes creating a 200 metre radius crater within the ground that went as deep as 40 metres.
Angakok’s HP which was once at 65% now dropped to a mere 20, as he laid on the ground below with his skin charred and eyes wide open in disbelief at the sheer force of attack that he had just received.
Every square inch of his body hurt like hell as the over-dose of lightning felt like it had messed up his internal wiring and made him lose muscle control.
No matter how hard he tried, his body would not respond to his mind’s command as he could roll over, much less muster the strength to get back on his feet.
As he looked into the eyes of his opponent, a dwarf who was still standing with half his HP bar, arguably taking more damage than he did in the attack, he realised just how much the dwarf was willing to risk just to inflict damage on him.
His own skin was blistering, his hair burning, despite the protection from the Indra-Astra, his body was clearly suffering from the backlash of the tier7 strength attack he had just produced with his tier6 body, however, his eyes displayed no regret but rather a satisfaction to be still standing while Angakok laid at his feet.
It was only at this moment that Angakok realised, that whether it was Max, Jhonny or Sebastian, all three of them were madmen that could give Angakok a run for his money fighting him one on one, however they had chosen to band together just to make sure he was extra miserable.
” Why? Why do you go so far just to push me down? Why would you kill yourself to inflict damage on me? ” Angakok said with frustration as he could not understand what could possibly motivate Sebastian to go so far?
Having lead a solitary life, Angakok never connected with someone on a deep enough level to die for them, hence he could not understand what was motivating Sebastian’s desire for revenge, however, Sebastian only scoffed at his question in response.
” Do you really think this is me going far? Wait till I chop you into a thousand pieces and hang your head as a trophy within my churh…..THEN and ONLY THEN can you ask me the question of why am I doing what I am doing ” Sebastian spoke with absolute hatred as he mustered all the strength in his body and spat on Angakok’s body at his feet.
