Chapter 532 Victorious Return
As if conquering one planet was not enough, Max woke up and decided to do it again as the very next day he repeated the same process all over again and conquered the last border planet, ousting every last Barbarian warrior from it.
This time around the barbarians knew exactly how dangerous he was as the news about his sweeping victory had spread, and to counter it the best and the toughest tier5 barbarian warriors had all banded together to take a last stand in a single fort against him, however, even 104 tier5 barbarian warriors could do nothing against the combined might of Max and Mira as in the end after taking only 30% damage on his full HP bar, Max managed to route every last one of them out.
Creating unprecedented history by wiping out two border planets of the enemies of vampire state, Max once again became an overnight sensation, a man whose tales were sure to be told amongst the Vampire society for ages to come.
Naturally, when the news about his victory reached Dombivli, the common citizens had their heads raised high in pride as they felt like the achievement of their lord was somehow reflective of their own achievement.
They felt proud to live under his reign and had turned out by the thousands from the docking area to the palace as they eagerly awaited the return of the Lord alongside the Bloodfall clan legion which was scheduled to return today.
*********
( About 25 minutes later )
The roar of the military ships echoed throughout Dombivli City, their low hum sending shivers through the packed crowd gathered at the expansive docking bay.
Every eye was riveted to the sight of the returning Bloodfall clan legion, their hearts pounding with pride and anticipation. Their heroes had returned, victorious from the frontiers of their dominion.
As the landing gears of the military ships connected with the concrete of the docking bay, a thunderous cheer erupted from the gathered masses. “For Ravan! For Bloodfall!” The chants echoed off the towering city walls, reaching the heavens themselves.
The first to descend from the primary ship was Sebastian, the dwarf commander. Despite his shorter stature, he stood tall, his eyes radiating the glory of their victory.
” May the cowardice be with you ” Sebastian said as he made a ‘ V ‘ sign towards the crowd, confusing the masses as to why the supposedly valiant commander was talking about cowardice?
Behind him, a sea of 150,000 soldiers, each a testament to the strength of the Bloodfall clan, followed.
” May the cowardice be with you- Amen! ”
The coward legion repeated their motto as one, their collective voices travelling far and wide as their motto caused many commoners to scratch their heads in confusion.
Then, descending regally from the ship, came the figure that commanded the crowd’s awe above all others. Lord Ravan Bloodfall. A powerful aura radiated off him, his presence a physical weight that could be felt by everyone present. His name ran like a wildfire through the crowd, a silent whisper on every lip.
As Ravan stepped onto the docking bay, the crowd erupted into another round of cheers, their voices raw with emotion. It wasn’t just respect they had for him; it was sheer reverence, the kind reserved for legends. After all, he had done what no other had in 250 years. His victory wasn’t just his; it was a victory of all vampires, of their society, of their values.
Beside Ravan was a beautiful lady with black hair and pitch black eyes, she had a stern expression and did not make eye contact with any human, only silently trotting beside the lord.
The sight was something to behold – a figure of mythic proportions leading an army of heroes. The crowd parted for them, their cheers and applause deafening. Many bowed, others waved, and children reached out, hoping to touch even the hem of their lord’s garment. .
The parade proceeded through the main boulevard, a sea of jubilant faces on either side. The city was ablaze with pride and joy, every building adorned with flags and banners celebrating their triumphant return. The path was strewn with petals, creating a crimson river that led all the way to the palace gates.
All of Max’s crimes seemed to be forgotten, in this moment nobody seemed to care that he was missing from civil administration for 6 months, rather the respect they had for him seemed to have increased tenfold.
For 7 generations, the vampires had contested the border planets with the Barbarians, it was an issue of ancestral importance to all of them, which was why the victory this time was so monumental.
It was not the dream of this generation of vampires alone to see their motherland free from barbarian rule, but the dream of several generations of vampires, which was why youth and old alike came to the streets their eyes filled with tears of joy as they bowed before their lord which made this dream come true.
As the procession arrived at the palace, Lord Ravan raised his hand.
The cheer died down, replaced by an anticipatory hush. He looked over his people, his gaze filled with gratitude and pride.
“For the king, for the Bloodfall clan and for the vampire society! ” He roared, his voice carrying over the crowd, his words echoing their shared triumph.
Once again, Dombivli City erupted into joyous celebration, their voices resonating in a chorus that celebrated the unparalleled victory of their Lord. A celebration that, like their hero’s tale, would echo through the ages.
Slowly the palace gates opened for the returning heroes and a breathtakingly stunning Asiva stood there dressed in what could be only described as a revealing dress that would be worn by a priestess.
If the men did not already know who the heart of this lady belonged to, many of them would have thrown themselves at her as they saw her in this beautiful white dress, but since they knew whose woman she was they could only swallow their saliva and look down towards the ground sheepishly.
Max walked towards her to be wife with a wide grin on his face as Asiva smiled teasingly as she said ” Welcome home Lord Ravan, your subjects have missed you~ ”
Seductively smacking her lips, Asiva made it abundantly clear as to which subjects she was referring to as Max could not help but feel both his hearts race faster than the fastest phoenix birds.
If they were not in a public setting, he would have kissed her till she was breathless right here right now, but unfortunately he could not do that.
Hence politely accepting her greeting, Max decided to pent all of these emotions up and release them in what was to be the wildest night of his and Asiva’s life tonight.
