Chapter 406 The Hound
Sebastian watched Max’s fury with a dazed expression, apart from Max he was the only individual in the room to have learnt [ way of the wind ] which helped him lock onto the figure of the wind elemental.
To say that the wind elemental was fast was an understatement, the wind elemental was so ridiculously fast that Max doubted if Anna could even hit him with her fastest arrows, but Max refused to let that stop him as he burst through with incredible agility while attacking his opponent non-stop.
Although Sebastian did not understand the exact specifics of Max’s fire related powers, he did have a rough understanding of its use. However, today his worldview was shattered as he saw Max use combinations and fakes to make the wind elemental dance to his tunes only to pre-meditate where it was going to be a second later to blast it accurately with an attack.
The level at which Max suddenly began fighting was unreal, as not only did he shoot out fireballs like he was throwing pebbles at the enemy, he also moved erratically while doing it, making it difficult for the elemental to predict his next move.
As to the reason behind why Max suddenly became so enraged, Sebastian had no idea, but in his understanding of Max the only thing that could rile up his friend so much was if it were something related to his brother’s death.
What Sebastian did not understand was that the only reason why Max was able to go absolute beast mode and fight head to head with the elemental was because of his relentless training against Drax in the mirror world.
The opponent that Drax controlled was the peak version of tier5 warrior that Max could become, as he forced the tier4 Max to fight that version of himself while fooling his mind that this was the peak of what his abilities could do at tier4.
Although Max could not deal more than 30% damage to Drax’s clone’s HP bar in the mirror world, it still gave him new insights on how to fight better and how to evolve his brute relentless attack strategy to one of his best offensive tactics.
The countless hours he spent inside the mirror world finally showed their usefulness today, as after 45 minutes of continuous high intensity battle Max finally managed to kill the wind elemental.
[ System Notification – You have disabled the wind elemental ‘ Korboros ‘ for 30 minutes.
Since this is a special zone and Korboros is protected, he will resurrect in 30 minutes.
No exp is given for the kill
No rewards are given for the kill ]
Max who was panting continuously saw the system notification and frowned.
He had fought such a fierce battle but it did not even give him exp.
The worst part was that the half horse would resurrect in a few minutes.
” Come.. ” Max said curtly and with arrogance as at that moment not one person had the guts to question the decision of the madman who had fought off the elemental like a beast while all of them just stood admiring like ducks.
Lucius who was trembling inside walked behind Max was panting heavily as he walked. .
Having been called a ‘Genius’ and a prodigy from childhood Lucius always believed that his battle ability was superior to everyone.
However, today as he stared at the back of Ravan as he battled against that Elemental he realised what the true meaning of ‘ Monster ‘ was.
The man casually used
3453 fireballs
434 Fire Blasts and 95 Inferno spells in quick succession!
This amount of fire attacks were difficult to conjure even at the archmage level, yet he did it ever so easily.
A truly fearsome guy….
Clutching his sword, Lucius walked ahead of the panting Max as he took lead in this stage of the exploration, shouting loudly ” ONE ”
Soon the usual roll call of two..three..four was heard as he kept advancing without worries.
Max let Lucius take the lead, he was not against the idea of someone else leading the exploration for a while, especially after the strenuous battle he had just experienced.
Soon, the group reached the centre of the city, where a massive mage tower was built but as they approached it, they clearly felt a corrosive aura that seemed to devour their vitality slightly.
[ System Notification : You have come into contact with the corrosion of death, Your vitality stat has been permanently reduced by 1 stat point ]
Lucius was instantly alarmed by this notification as he called for the group to stop and retrace back.
It seemed like they needed to form a proper strategy to enter the corrosive mage tower without feeling serious permanent debuffs.

( Meanwhile Angakok )
Angakok had vanished from the construction site of the time chamber for quite a few days which made Kremeth wonder what the shaman god was upto.
They had reached a critical phase in the construction of the structure and needed to expend quite a lot of divine energy to suppress the power of the tier10 time seed from leaking out.
At such a stage, Angakok with his Shaman abilities was a key individual to have to aid the construction, but unlike his disposition he was shockingly missing from action.
Having been summoned by his chosen and experiencing the usefulness of the skill he learnt, Angakok realised the importance of having the perfect Cloning ability for himself, which could allow him to exist both inside and outside the time chamber at once, giving him perfect control over its operations should anything ever go wrong.
However, no matter how hard he tried, he could not find any trace of how to obtain his chosens move.
It seemed to be wiped from history by the Universal queen, which raised the question for Angakok as to how the boy got his hands on something that was impossible for even the ancient god to obtain?
