Chapter 805: Fallacious Match

“Earth Shattering!”

After kicking the wall, Beat Your Chest turned over and jumped towards Vainglory with her knee out. Vainglory rolled backwards hurriedly as Beat Your Chest’s knee struck the ground. The ground shattered instantly.

When everyone witnessed that knee strike, they were even more startled than before. Everyone knew that the greater the attack, the more gorgeous than effects would be. Looking at this skill, it was evidently not any weaker than a Warrior’s [Mountain Shattering Blow].

Just when everyone thought that Vainglory was going to be beaten up like a dead dog, he suddenly stood up and smiled cheerfully at Beat Your Chest, “Pretty girl, why don’t you admit defeat now? You still have a bright future ahead…”

“???”

Everyone was astonished to hear that from Vainglory. What was he doing?! He was clearly the one getting beaten up so why was he acting all arrogant?

Beat Your Chest was equally as shocked as she frowned and said, “What are you saying? Shouldn’t I say that to you?”

“Hehe!” Vainglory smiled and said once more, “Really?”

“…” Beat Your Chest was speechless.

“Haha!” Fearless smiled, “Little Chicky is finally growing up! He is actually being so pretentious and trying to scare others now!”

Wang Yu shook his head and said, “No, Little Chicky isn’t scaring anyone!”

“Oh? Why not?” A slightly surprised Fearless asked.

Wang Yu replied, “Little Chicky found the opponent’s fatal point.”

“Fatal point?” Fearless asked again, “That king kong-sized barbie has a weakness in front of the same job class?”

“En!” Wang Yu replied, “Beat Your Chest’s fatal point and weakness is that she cannot have consecutive attacks!”

The unique characteristic of a Pugilist was the ability to combine ordinary attacks with skills for unlimited connection of skills. However, the effects of Beat Your Chest’s attacks were simply too powerful. Even though every move was shockingly strong, the majority of the effect would be of high judgement such as repelling the opponent or knocking the opponent down.

Moreover, Beat Your Chest’s movement speed was not great and the stun time of her skills were naturally longer than other Pugilist. Therefore, the interconnectivity of skills would never be comparable to other jobs, let alone a Pugilist who specialised in connecting skills.

As long as he could force Beat Your Chest to make the first mistake, she would lose her oppressive advantage because of the miss.

After all, a hidden branch job was like a declining fist art. Even though such attacks were worth desiring for, they usually die out because of other more common jobs.

For example, a Grasping Fighter wouldn’t be able to fight in PVE and that would be the fatal point. Similarly, not being able to attack continuously would be Beat Your Chest’s fatal point. Warriors and Knights were already the jobs that had greater attack attributes. Pugilist without any weapon set heading on this path was evidently not an easy route.

“I see!” Fearless scratched his chin, “No wonder this monster would be treated as a surprise soldier. It seems like Team Peaceful already knows about Beat Your Chest’s fatal point.”

Up till this stage of the competition, which one of them wasn’t a top expert. Even though they might not exchange blows with Beat Your Chest personally or have a judgement like Wang Yu’s, the more they watched, the more likely the secret would be leaked.

This was also why Vainglory asked Beat Your Chest to admit defeat. This was because the moment Vainglory reveal this secret to the public, Beat Your Chest’s career in the PVP circle would be over.

“So? Are you going to admit defeat?” Vainglory asked once again.

“Tsk!” Beat Your Chest grunted coldly as she chose to admit defeat. She turned into white light and got sent out of the arena.

Beat Your Chest might be well developed on all four limbs but she wasn’t dumb too. Looking at how confident Vainglory spoke, it must be true that he had found out something. Vainglory was right about her bright future so there was no need for her to ruin it herself.

“F*ck! What is going on?”

All the spectators were dazed when they saw how Beat Your Chest really admitted defeat.

“Could there be some sort of dirty transaction?” Some people started guessing.

“Of course… Did you guys forget about the third round?”

At that moment, everyone recalled the match between Ming Du and Desert Populus.

“F*ck! I can’t believe they are fighting a rigged match!” At the thought of that, everyone flew into a rage.

Everyone started to stake in on the forum about how fighting a fallacious match was no different from extorting money from the spectators.

It didn’t take long for the entire scene to turn rowdy as people started taking out trash from their bags to throw at the players on both sides.

They started cursing at them for fighting a fallacious match.

Fortunately, both teams were in the safe zone. Otherwise, both parties might die from all the throwing of items on them.

Eventually, the system came out to force those spectators who were making a scene out of the arena. They even warned all the players: Nobody is able to practice fraud in front of the system.

No matter how the system tried to cool things over, the two teams were already labelled as rubbish who rigged the matches.

Ray Of Sunshine even sent Fearless a message, “This is all your fault. Look, now we’ve offended so many people.”

“Offended people?” Fearless replied with laughter, “We’re already used to it…”

“…”

The first round of matches was won by Quan Zhen Sect with a score of 3:2. The small disturbance did not delay too much time. After the rowdy spectators were kicked out, the competition continued.

The second round was the King of the Hill.

The system randomly chose the players.

After a series of filtering, the names of both teams appeared on the big display screen.

Team Peaceful: Wilted Old Tree, Ambilight, Instant Fanghua, Ray Of Moonlight, Crybaby Lily.

A Murder Of Crows: Darknorth Fisher, Frost Blade, Vainglory, Fearless, Clear Snow.

The map was still chosen by Team Peaceful. As the first fighter, Wilted Old Tree chose to randomise the map once more.

After choosing the map, the chosen players from both parties were sent into the arena. The eight people, other than Wilted Old Tree and Darknorth Fisher, waited outside as they waited to take over the fight.

Scene Generation: Ancient Battlefield.

Ancient Battlefield was also known as the God of Devils Battlefield. It was the battlefield of the God of Devils and one of the level 200 ultimate maps.

Currently, no players had seen this map before so it wasn’t of any advantage to any of the parties.

Ancient Battlefield was a desolate plainfield with blood stains and dried up piles of bones on the ground. Even though there were plenty of broken vehicles and other war machines, it was still considered wide and broad. There were not many obstructions on the map.

Wilted Old Tree was the only male player from Team Peaceful whose job was a Magician. He had thick eyebrows and large eyes as he was dressed in a dark blue robe. He looked like a player specialised in PK for ice magic spells.

After entering the scene, Wilted Old Tree smiled at Darknorth Fisher even before Darknorth Fisher could use [Stealth]. Following which, he clicked ‘surrender’.

“…” Seeing what Wilted Old Tree did, the crowd started making noise again. Indeed, there was some sort of secret transaction between these two teams.

Even the Quan Zhen Sect were slightly taken aback when they saw that Wilted Old Tree surrendered. While they were being surprised, Spring Halo scratched his chin and said, “This Wilted Old Tree is up to something fishy ah.”

Everyone from the Quan Zhen Sect nodded their heads in agreement.

Why did Beat Your Chest agree to surrender? It was because Vainglory spotted her fatal point. Wilted Old Tree’s surrender made him look extremely suspicious.

After Wilted Old Tree got sent out, Ambilight was sent right into the arena.
