Chapter 391 - Guild Treasure
Chapter 391: Guild Treasure

System Notification: You’ve triggered hidden quest ‘Survival’. Current quest: The Final Fort. Do you accept?
“I…” Just as Wang Yu was about to accept the quest, Fearless interjected, “Military Official, can you tell us what are the rewards for this quest?”
The rewards for the previous two quests were merely experience points. After making such long trips, they only received experience points. Because of this, the members of the Quan Zhen Sect became frustrated. If the reward for this quest was also experience points, they would rather not do it at all.
The military official hesitated for a while before replying, “It is a ‘Guild Treasure’.”
“Guild Treasure?” A surprised Fearless exclaimed. He certainly didn’t expect that the final reward for this chain of quests was actually this.
During the beta testing of this game, Fearless heard about a Guild Treasure before. Guild Treasures were usually divided into three types.
One type was the Guild Treasure Stone which would forcefully increase the level of a guild. Once a guild obtained the Guild Treasure Stone, they could use it directly on the guild’s crystal to increase the level of the guild. It was one of the hardest items to obtain. Moreover, every guild crystal could be used once. Normally, a guild would use it after they reached level 5. They would use the Guild Treasure Stone to forcefully increase their level to level 6. It was incredibly valuable.
Another type was the Guild Stronghold. Just like an equipment, a Guild Stronghold was divided into different price levels. Depending on the price level, it could increase the guild headquarters’ defence as well as area. According to rumours, a legendary Guild Stronghold could upgrade a guild headquarters into a city.
The last type was called the Guild Faith. This item would appear in the form of a landscape. Placing his within the guild could enhance BUFF of every member in the guild. Even though it wasn’t worth as much as the previous two, it was still very useful. “Alright! We’ll accept the quest!” After hearing that this was the reward for the quest, he nodded at Wang Yu.
Any one of the three types of Guild Treasure was definitely worth the effort. Even if they obtained the last type of Guild Treasure, it was still enough to compensate for the first two quests.
System Notification: You’ve accepted hidden quest ‘Survival’. Current quest: The Final Fort. Quest’s introduction: Help the pursuers chase and kill Alchemist Feige. Bring back Military Official George’s lost special tier item.
The moment they accepted the quest, a blue and red dot appeared on everyone’s map.
Military Official George told everyone, “The Dark Faction has already sent people to support Feige. All of you must provide support for the pursuers to stop Feige before he returns to the camp of the Dark Faction. The moment those two items reached the Dark Faction at the same time, our battle line will crumble. When that happens, there will be a lot of trouble.”
After saying that, Wang Yu and co. received yet another notification at the bottom of their quest.
Failure to complete quest, battle line crumbles and players level -1.
“F*ck!”
Looking at the latest notification, everyone started cursing. They couldn’t believe that this broken quest had a penalty if they failed. It was so hard for them to increase levels in this game but decreasing seemed to be so easy.
No matter how they cursed the game, they had already accepted the quest. Cancelling it would also be considered a failure so they might as well work harder to complete it.
This quest was a quest with a time limit. The blue dot should be the pursuers while the red dot should be the supporters. The green dot was the Quan Zhen Sect.
At this moment, both the red and blue dots were nearing the centre of the map. Presently, they didn’t know if the pursuers or the supporters were stronger. However, given the looks of this quest, Wang Yu and co. were certain that the supporters would definitely be stronger. This was because they probably had a BOSS overwatching them.
Therefore, this quest was urgent for them to arrive before the pursuers were killed.
After realising this point, everybody didn’t waste any more time as they rushed off in the direction of the two groups of people. Front line sentry also meant that they were at the periphery of the battlefield.
On their way, they saw plenty of soldiers from both sides. There were even some zombies who came back to life by absorbing the dark energy.
All three groups of monsters were fighting against each other. When players entered the battlefield, all the monsters added the Quan Zhen Sect’s players into their aggro system.
The ones chasing the Quan Zhen Sect now was called the Allied Scouts. These fellas were extremely fast and the Quan Zhen Sect was unable to lose them. It wasn’t as though the experts of the Quan Zhen Sect weren’t able to kill these monsters. The problem was that these monsters belonged to the Light Faction. According to the system, killing NPC or monsters of the same faction would cause a huge drop in honoured experience points.
The players of the Quan Zhen Sect were getting frustrated at being chased. They would have nothing to complain if they were only chased by the zombies or dark assassins. What they didn’t understand was why the monsters of the Light Faction were also chasing them.
After being chased and left without a choice, they killed a few monsters. After killing those monsters, they realised something. Because this was considered an area of cease fire, there would be no differentiation between factions once they entered this area. No matter which faction the monsters they killed were from, their honoured experience points of their faction wouldn’t increase or decrease.
After realising this, the players came up with a plan to charge forward and kill every monster in their way. When the red and blue dots finally met, the Quan Zhen Sect was not too far away from them.
“Guys, do you think we can only get one of the two special tier equipment after we kill Feige?” Wang Yu asked after analysing the words of the quest.
This game’s quest always loved to play with words. Therefore, they would need to analyse the hidden meaning of the words of intelligent NPC.
Fearless thought for a while before replying, “I think this is 80% true. There is still the pursuer right? According to the system’s usual sequence of processes, the pursuer should receive the other equipment too. I believe the equipment which we obtain then will be our reward.”
“Then we will need to pick the right one…” Wang Yu looked determined, “We must pick the one that is worth more.”
“Think about the price if we obtained both of the equipment?” Ming Du added.
Guild Treasures ah. One of this was worth as much as a guild headquarter. If they managed to obtain two, they would definitely be able to earn a large sum from it too. Even if they were to split among ten people, they could still profit a lot.
Fearless smiled gleefully, “This isn’t impossible…”
“How?” Everyone asked in surprise.
Spring Halo chuckled, “Don’t tell me you’re thinking of killing the pursuers too?”
“Indeed… Brother Spring is indeed vicious and cruel! You’re just like me in this aspect.” Fearless laughed.
“This, this is against the rule right?” Wang Yu furrowed his brows. The pursuers were still considered their allies. Killing someone on the same side was something Wang Yu wasn’t able to accept.
Fearless replied, “How is this against the rule? This area is a free area with no division of factions. Since the system placed the quest here, it must have its intention. Otherwise, we can also wait for the pursuers to be killed before acting…”
Borrowing someone’s knife to kill others… Fearless was definitely a player out to dig into every loophole of the system. Wang Yu couldn’t believe Fearless could even say out such a despicable and filthy plan. How vicious could this man be?
Wang Yu’s question was because of his morals. While not doing anything to save someone in need was against his morals, Wang Yu was able to convince himself to think otherwise very quickly. This was mainly because the pursuers were also NPC.
“Alright, let’s just do it…”
