Chapter 82 Wealthy
‘I don’t need ownership in his company even if I can acquire it while staying anonymous.’ Alex thought as he picked up the space ring and transferred precisely four hundred and fifty thousand white flame coins to his inventory with the help of the system.
“Mr.Badger, Your offer is quite good, but I need to decline it as the organization is not interested in the real-world matter,” Alex replied as he placed the ring on the table.
After hearing Alex reply, Badger was disappointed, but he didn’t say anything because he already knew that his gift would be declined, but he still wanted to try his luck.
“Now that you have the three [SS] Rank legacies, the condition to purchase the Ravenglades Guild shares is complete, and I believe with the completion of this deal, the organization has complete its promise to you,” Alex said seeing Badger looking around like trying to find an opportunity to say something.
“The Shadow Oblivion organization has completed its promise, and I will also prove my loyal friendship when required,” Badger replied, and his following words were what Alex expected.
“Sir.Famir, I have a friend who wants to do business with the organization.” Badger said after placing all three legacy items into his inventory.
“Mr.Badger, I don’t want to be rude, but the organization only works with very few special people we can trust,” Alex replied with a smile.
“My friend, whom I want to introduce to the organization, is the guild leader of Chosen Champions Guild, and I can vouch that he is trustworthy,” Badger said.
“You want to introduce Vlad, “The Rampaging Giant”? The person with such a short temper that he waged war with the Olympian guild just because their Elder pronounced his family name wrong.” Alex asked with a blank look.
The incident Alex pointed out happened a few months ago before the game became a part of everyone’s life, but it was still a significant event that attracted a lot of attention.
The Elder from the Olympian guild didn’t pronounce the wrong name intentionally or make fun of it, but Vlad believed that the Olympian guild was disrespecting him and his family, so without any warning, he waged a full-scale war.
The Olympian guild didn’t back down from the war because, to every player, the game was just to have fun and earn money, and waging war brought both of these things in great quantity and quality.
The war stretched for three months, and then it was stopped without any winner, and every player following the war wanted to know the reason.
The player did find the reason for both guild’s silence, not from them but from the government statement that changed the perspective of every human about the game.
“Sir.Famir, It was just a publicity stunt by both guilds to earn some fame and money.” Badger said with a forced smile, trying his best to defend his player.
“Mr.Badger, We both know it was not a publicity stunt but an actual war that Vlad started to defend his mountain like pride, and I do not doubt that in the future, he would do the same,” Alex said, not by speculation but from facts that he knew from his past life memory.
The two guilds stopped the war to stabilize themselves in these changing times, but they were too prideful to accept the war between them was a draw, and to solve that issue, they agreed to a contract that in four years, they would continue this war to decide the winner.
Alex knew about this information as it was made public just before the war started in his previous life, and the war between these two titan guilds was still going on even to the last of his previous life without any side having a significant advantage.
“Mr.Badger, You are a friend of the Organization, and I am willing to meet with guild leader Vlad and tell his request to my organization, but I can’t guaranty that the organization would be interested in doing business with him,” Alex said seeing Badge having a disappointed look after hearing his previous reply.
“Mr.Badger, I have agreed to meet your guild master Vlad, but you must wait two hours because I need to meet an important guest,” Alex replied, seeing Badger happy with his agreement to meet Vlad.
Alex knew Badger had no clue about his deal with Hecate as she would never reveal information about the Monarch Tomb to Badger, even if he would be a future elder in her guild.
“Sir. Famir, I am very grateful to you for accepting my request, and please send me a message when you are free to meet with Vlad.” Badger said as he stood up from his seat and offered Alex a handshake.
“I will send you a message using the Golden token,” Alex replied with a smile as he did the handshake.
After the handshake, Badger quickly left the room, leaving Alex to enjoy his newly gained wealth.
“I am Rich,” Alex said loudly with his hands raised.
While Alex was celebrating his wealth, he had no clue that shadow guardians were looking at him with an awestruck look, like they were looking at an anomaly.
‘Master, Now what do you think about this immortal Adventurer?’ Lady Nachtor asked the old man standing by her side.
‘I am surprised that he belongs to an organization that is willing to sell three [SS] Rank legacies.’ The old man replied, looking at Alex staking his coins on the table.
‘Master, do you think his organization has any legacies belonging to Beastmen Race?’ Lady Nachtor asked.
‘I don’t know, but chances are meager as finding legacies depends on fate, and finding Beastmen legacies on the human continent is rarer than finding some human warrior legacies.’
‘I will report this information to the young master.’ Lady Nachtor said as she vanished from the room.
‘I wonder if this kid could surprise me again.’
—————-
‘He looks happy. Maybe this organization is not a total scam.’ Vlad thought, seeing Badger leaving the meeting room with a broad smile. .
‘Mike, keep watch on this room, and the moment the person inside leaves the hotel, capture him.’ Vlad said and quickly left toward his room.
“Vlad, could you guess what happened in the meeting.” Badger slammed the door open and said out loud as he entered the room.
“The shady organization gave you some Teleportation markers telling you that each one has the coordinates of a Legacy Tomb, and they just asked for half the payment as advance.”
“You looked too happy for that to happen, so let me guess, they gave you one real [SS] Legacy with two teleportation markers, and you paid them their asking price without signing any contract,” Vlad said as he poured wine into two glasses.
Vlad didn’t even believe for a second that the organization would complete its promise because he understood the things they offered were too good to be true, and in exchange, they just wanted Alden to be a loyal friend, which he knew was complete bullshit as they didn’t even ask to sign any contract.
“Vlad, You sound like a jealous hater,” Badger replied with a blank look as he sat down and picked a wine glass.
“Why don’t you show me the legacies your great organization sold to you?” Vlad said.
“Now, Don’t ask me to introduce you to the organization because you should keep believing in your speculations,” Badger said as he took out the dagger set and placed it on the table.
“An authentic [SS] Rank Assassin category legacy and a rare one that changes the holder Race,” Vlad said with a smile as he examined the dagger set.
“This only proves my speculations,” Vlad said, seeing Badger placing a teleportation marker on the table.
Badger didn’t say anything and placed his wine glass on the table, then took out his shield and waved it in front of Vlad’s eyes with a broad smile.
“I think this shield would be a great future companion for me,” Badger said, but Vlad took the shield from his hand before he could react.
Vlad examined the shield and, after confirming that it was an actual [SS] Rank legacy item, he looked toward his friend, who was looking at him with a cheeky smile.
“Alden, Tell me the truth. Did you sign any contract?” Vlad asked calmly, but one could tell he was very serious about the question.
“Vlad, I didn’t sign any contract and the organization officer never asked me to do it,” Badger asked calmly, knowing his friend was only worried about him.
“Vlad, You don’t look happy that the organization is not a scam,” Badger asked.
“I don’t know if you have hit the jackpot and become friends with a shadow Giant or made a deal with the devil,” Vlad said.
“Vlad, I don’t know the future, but I know my present, which is very bright,” Badger replied, not taking Vlad’s words seriously.
‘My friend, I hope you are right, but I am worried as there are no free meals in this world.’ Vlad thought, looking at Badger drinking wine without care.
