Chapter 514 Concept of Unification
Chapter 514 Concept of Unification
”So you are not a complete waste of talent,”
Tsolmir’s voice sounded loud and clear inside the enclosing darkness, with the sound carrying a reverberating resonance that influenced both of Alex’s hearts to momentarily beat in reverse, causing a disorienting and painful sensation coursing through his body.
“But too bad for you because you are not the only one who has learned to create a minor domain,” Tsolmir said before a cyan-colored mist began to gush out from the mouth of the Fairy, making a soft ringing noise to fill the quiet darkness enclave.
Alex was somewhat surprised to feel his two hearts influenced by the sound, but it was a minor disturbance he could easily defend against.
However, the echoing mist was a completely different beast, as Alex could sense it was affecting the darkness enclave and weakening its effect.
‘The strengthening effect is still at 20%, not an alarming drop, but the restricting effect on the sound is barely present, and this content noise will give him a major boost in strength,’ Alex thought, understanding that while he was in his element, so was Tsolmir.
‘I don’t think using the Nihility Purge to erase the mist will do me any good, seeing that his mana had barely depleted by this skill,’
‘So if I did use it, then the result would be a battle between mana and mental strength, either forcing him to stop generating mist or burning a hole in my mana reserve and forcing myself to use Dragon Monarch Aura to win,’ Alex thought as he considered his options.
Alex knew that, unlike his skill, which stemmed from his physique and had no mental drain or cool-down period, the same would not be the case for Tsolmir because even though his skill did not seem to have high mana consumption or a cool-down period, it surely had an effect on his mental energy.
‘It looks like I will need to pull out the big guns, but I don’t want to reveal the Monarch Aura this early, so that leaves me with only one option,’ Alex thought as he shifted his focus to the battle at hand.
“RRROOOOOAAAARRRR”
The reanimated lion roared as he charged toward him, but without paying him any attention, Alex created wings of chaos before zooming toward Tsolmir.
“Darkness Embrace”
Alex raised his free hand before closing it into a fist, and the surrounding darkness grew in density before it converged toward Tsolmir, trapping him in a poll of immense heaviness and corrosion.
Alex had two battle arts, one for battle and movement and the other for offense, and he had been practicing both of them for a year and a half.
Yet compared to Endless Void battle art, which gave him an unparalleled sense and movement technique, the other barely contributed to his strength.
However, the only reason why the Nameless battle art did not contribute was because of his little mastery and understanding of the knowledge he received from it.
But now, after months of relentless practice and having spent an entire month on Kanut wasteland solely practicing what he had learned, Alex had finally learned to wield the essence of the battle art to a decent enough level that it could be used in a proper battle.
‘Concept of Unification, Sword, Intent of Fluidity, Sabre, Intent of Slicing, Dagger, Intent of Sharpness, Darkness, Aspect of Nothingness’
Alex used the concept of unification he had learned from his battle art as he cloaked his blade with three different weapon intents and added the darkness aspect of the eraser.
In a normal scenario, the three battle intents would be layered on top of each other before they began to meld together because of their uniquely similar nature, only to collapse and dissipate moments later.
But under the influence of the unseen law, the three milky- white energies and the pitch darkness began to meld, creating something new, stable, and far stronger than the original.
‘Fantom Sword Flash’
Alex began to disappear and appear all over the place, with each step executing a sword slash and delivering more than two dozen before the first energy slash even reached the cluster of darkness that had Tsolmir imprisoned inside.
Alex was keeping pressure using the Darkness Embrace skill, but the cluster finally shattered in a massive explosion as sound tore it open with a thundering burst followed by a shockwave that cleared a large section of darkness.
In a single instant that sonic explosion took to tear open the dark prison, more than twenty-four razor-thin slashes rained down on the area, cleaving right through anything that came in their way.
‘It would be too easy if just a quick setup took care of him, but with this exchange, I know how to deal with him,’ Alex thought, seeing Tsolmir and the Fairy having vanished before even one of the slashes could reach him.
Alex had figured that Tsolmir could move at sonic speed, but this exchange confirmed that two conditions needed to be met for his technique to work.
First, there should be no obstacles in his path, and second, he needed a certain level of sound to move to its source because, just for a moment, the echo in a particular area of mist grew to a certain frequency only to be silenced as the due appeared at that exact location.
“You have greatly surpassed my expectations, but if only you could use your elements properly, you would be a great warrior with nearly no match,” Tsolmir said, his words carrying a bit more respect than before as he looked at the aftermath of the slashes delivered by Alex.
The sword slashes had either vanished from sight or had carved their way into the ground, leaving thin slashes etched deeply into the earth, a testament to their deadly cleaving ability.
“Unlike your world, mine does not have magical fairies who could boost our strength with little effort,” Alex said, with a slight chuckle, and it appeared that Fairy was offended by his words.
The fairy roared, emitting a sonic screech that modulated at a frequency which, upon contact with Alex, sent shocks through his nervous system, momentarily disorienting him.
Seizing the opportunity, Tsolmir appeared close to him and delivered another sonic screech that hit him like a hammer. The sound bypassed his armor, reverberating through his body and causing internal damage, sending him reeling backward.
Alex did use his chaos wings to defend, so while he took a hit, he also returned the favor, as he delivered death point right when the inseparable due appeared, making beams of energy tear through the face of the fairy before she could even end her second screech.
‘So the fairies are immortal, now just need to force him to use the entire symbiosis,’ Alex thought, seeing the bone-white face recover from the extreme damage in the blink of an eye.
“I have seen enough, so let’s end this,” Tsolmir said, and the fairy released a whistling sound that rose and fell in pitch.
The air vibrated with an eerie melody, and a sound tornado began to take form, and even when Alex attacked and made the duo move, the fairy did not stop singing the melody.
The tornado sent out rogue sound blades, bursts of explosions, and shockwaves through the surroundings, creating a perfect environment for Tsolmir to freely execute his movement technique and shift around like a fantom jumping in and out of reality.
The entire enclave was plunged into entire chaos as sounds of various pitches reverberated through the air, as high-pitched shrieks mingled with deep, resonant explosions, creating a disorienting cacophony that overwhelmed the senses.
“None of my enemies have lived to tell the tale after witnessing this form, but you would be the initial exception, thanks to this realm,” Tsolmir said, as the form of the fairy commenced to dissolve and merge with him, his human features changing under the influence as pair beings fused into one.
