Chapter 304 Lies or Truth
Chapter 304 Lies or Truth
“The Elder brother failed to be chosen by the throne, but the younger one passed and was selected as the tenth Domain Ruler of the Malefis Domain and became the king of the Kingdom of Abrus,”
“The Elder brother was named Ahrimon Idravor, and the younger brother was named Ahura Idravor,”
“My brother, who was just a simple mercenary wandering the world, became the Ruler of the whole continent, and he also was given a magical system that allowed him to gain things of immense value, not only for himself but for others as well.”
“He was given other gifts of such value that even individuals at pinnacle strength would sacrifice everything to gain a portion of them while he was given authority over individuals who stood at the pinnacle of this world.”
“It would not be an exertion to say he was not just the Ruler of the Malefis Domain but was also the Ruler of the whole world,”
“You should already have some idea what I am talking about as you are the Eleventh Ruler, but the difference between you and my brother is that where you have become a Ruler of a crumbling kingdom, my brother became its Ruler when it was at its peak,” Ahrimon said, a sly grin crossing his face.
‘Who do you think is responsible for making the domain reach its current state,’ Alex pondered silently.
“My relationship with my brother was such that we were willing to die for each other, as it should be between brothers, and it didn’t change after he became the domain Ruler,”
“Time moved forward, and our fortunes flourished, and a few decades later, while Ahura was reigning as the beloved king of the Malefis Domain, I ascended to the position of Ruler of the Demon Continent.”
“Although the full account is a lengthy one, my ascent to the throne of the Demon Continent was majorly thanks to my legacy,”
“My brother and I ruled two of the strongest kingdoms of this world, and everything was flourishing for the next few decades, and then an event happened that destroyed both of our worlds, took my brother from me, and made me the man I am today,” Ahrimon spoke, his voice heavy with smoldering anger and emotions as if he were reliving his old memories.
‘He is a damm good actor,’ Alex thought, like a reminder to himself.
“It was like any normal day when my brother visited me in my palace, and the conversation began with him telling me about how his Ruler Authority had reached Sixth Rank, which should have been a reason deserving a grand celebration across the entire continent,”
“But he didn’t look happy, and I quickly found out the reason as to why he was unhappy,”
“My brother told me that he had met someone, the same someone who controlled the magical system he had and was responsible for giving him all the great opportunities and resources,”
“He shared with me the revelation he had received about the vast galaxy in which our world resided, encompassing countless planets, each more massive and stronger than our own. He described to me about beings of such overwhelming power that could reduce our entire world to dust,”
“It was a fascinating and long conversation that made me a king with all the worldly things to see my life as unfulfilling, giving me new dreams to explore those secrets, secrets that the galaxy held, and the same was true for my brother,”
“He told me how, as the Ruler, he was being forged into a champion, a soldier with the splendid talent to join the greatest power that the galaxy has to offer,”
“A domain Ruler was not just a random champion picked from a low-Rank world, but he was walking the path to becoming one of the greatest, a hero in the galaxy, one with no rivals except his brothers, who walked the same path as him,”
“Ahura told me how a chosen Ruler like him must not have any weakness that could be exploited or dead weights that could keep him from reaching his true potential because he was destined to stand shoulder to shoulder with the greatest and mightiest of the galaxy,” Ahrimon said, his teeth clenched, while his aura seethed with rage and anger.
‘How much of what he is saying is true?’ Alex pondered the truth, ignoring the pain coursing through his body as he remained wholly focused on Ahrimon’s narrative.
Alex knew that a Ruler had a much different purpose than the one he knew because he would be a fool to believe that he was given access to such great wealth and resources just to be a king and rule over a continent with little responsibility.
“What do you think my brother told me next?” Ahrimon questioned, and seeing Alex staying silent, he smiled, his aura returning to normal, and continued.
“Ahura told me that he was given a mission to kill me, to prove he is worthy to walk the path of a Ruler,” Ahrimon said and went silent for a few seconds.
“My brother left me with his last words being, ‘Brother, I always said that there is nothing that I won’t sacrifice if it means keeping you in my life, and today to till the day I die, it would remain the same,’ and saying that and with a smile on his face, he left,”
“I understood that my brother was absolutely sincere in his sentiment, and given his unwavering principles, he would sooner face death than compromise his morals.”
“To ensure his safety, I traveled to the Malefis Domain, and after a heartfelt conversation, he reassured me that his life wasn’t at risk.”
“However, the only consequence he’d face was the restriction from fully utilizing the privileges of a Ruler, and his authority would gradually diminish over the course of three decades before he loses it completely, but he didn’t care,”
“He told me that just like in the old days, we would progress our strength, achieve our goals, and take what the galaxy had to offer and do it with our own might, and if we can’t, then we never deserved it,” Ahrimon said and stayed silent for the next few seconds. .𝒄𝒐𝒎
‘I know someone of his nature would be a great liar, but what he is saying just makes too much sense, but from the moment he has started talking, I have this question.’
‘Why is Zero allowing me to hear all of this?’ Alex thought, his mind swirled in a chaotic maelstrom as he sought a logical explanation.
“Time kept passing, and over two decades passed before we knew it, and as I believed, not ones my brother showed an ounce of regret over his decision,”
“But individuals of power close to him, the individuals known as the Domain Guardians, started to notice that he was losing his Ruler Authority, and they questioned him about the reason,”
“As there wasn’t much time before Ahura would lose his status as the Domain Ruler, he confessed the entire situation to the Guardians whom he trusted greatly and told them about his decision.”
“They tried to change his decision, but he stayed adamant, and seeing they had no chance of persuading him, what do you think they decided to do?” Ahrimon questioned, and Alex didn’t need to be a genius to know the answer.
