Chapter 205 Badger Plan
“2 Hours later,”
Alex sat before two men in a luxury room in his real appearance having a lite conversation as all three enjoyed tea.
“Guild Leader Vlad, The organization has decided to accept your offer but with some minor changes,” Alex said to the giant of a man as he pushed a holographic screen toward him.
Vlad had offered Alex a maximum of four incomplete Legacy items in exchange for the whole Instance dungeon while also staying open to sharing a percentage of all the loot he would gain from the dungeon.
The deal was worth it, as Alex gained parts of the two top grade [SSS] Legacy items that he wanted at any cost while also showing the generosity of his organization.
Alex planned to give Vlad the instance dungeon in exchange for four incomplete legacy items, with two of them being the ones he wanted while two random ones that were the best among the ones he got offered, and also ask for 20% of the loot from the dungeon.
The deal was still generous, and Alex knew Vlad would accept with an ear-to-ear smile, but after finding the Doom artifact from the Lich guarding the instance dungeon, he decided to change a few things to his plan and join the dungeon raid.
“The Organization will be keeping 10 entry tokens while giving you the remaining 190 to your guild for two incomplete legacy items, rights to take any two things from your gathered loot and an unconditional favor that your guild will owe to my organization,”
“There are few conditions added that will stop my organization from making any request that could significantly harm your guild on any scale,”
Alex said.
Vlad stayed silent for a few seconds as he thoroughly read the whole contract, and after going over the pros and cons of the offer, he signed the contract.
“I appreciate the generosity of the Shadow Oblivion Organization, and it would be my pleasure to be of help not only once but as many times as the organization needs me,” Vlad said with a smile as he placed a space ring on the table.
‘He is way smarter than what players give him credit for,’ Alex thought, a bit surprised as he heard the system notification about the agreement.
Alex expected Vlad to make a counteroffer to lower or completely change the organization’s demand of having the right to take any two things from the loot his guild would acquire from the instance dungeon.
Alex was prepared to drop his demand to one item, which was what he originally wanted, but by the looks of it, he didn’t need to.
“These are the 190 entry tokens, and as per the agreement, you can start the dungeon expedition six months from today,” Alex said as he placed a space ring on the table while taking the one placed by Vlad.
‘This heart definitely belongs to the Beast Monarch,’ Alex thought as he transferred the two items from the space ring to his secured inventory.
“It was a pleasure meeting you,” Vlad said as he stood up and extended his hand.
‘He advanced to the fourth Rank, which should mean that the required number of new players have advanced to the second Rank, and Zero has finally lifted the restriction on the fourth Rank,’ Alex thought, feeling the strong grip on his hand.
There was a gap of three years between new and old players, but even the oldest player with great talent was stuck at the peak of the third Rank till the day the government broke the shocking news.
The player at first speculated that it was extremely hard for the players who had minimal experience with Mana to awaken their Elemental Flame and build mana veins needed to advance to the fourth Rank.
This belief was proven wrong after the change and the introduction of the Galactic shop because, in the following few months, a vast majority of talented players stuck at the cusp of the third Rank started advancing to the fourth Rank.
There was no official announcement, but everyone understood that the old players were being restricted from reacting to the fourth Rank, and they got lifted after the introduction of the galactic shop.
“I will be taking my leave,” Vlad said and left the room.
“Sir, Hidden One, You have changed quite a lot from our first meeting, but it isn’t surprising knowing your capabilities,” Badger said after staying silent for a few seconds.
“I have few lucky encounters,” Alex said as he poured some tea for himself.
“I will start by revealing my true face as my future plan could cause some unnecessary confusion,” Badger said, placing his hand on his face and peed a face-off or, more accurately, a mask.
Badger’s hair changed from shiny gold to crimson red while his handsome face turned colder and more handsome, making him look much more mature, but the change that shocked Alex the most was his name.
‘Allric, the guild master of the fourteenth Rank guild (Ivory Wolves),’ Alex thought, looking at the new appearance of Alden.
‘Did he eradicate a guild with thousands of members just to show his false death?’ Alex thought as he connected the dots.
“Did you hire a guild to kill your fake avatar permanently?” Alex asked, his voice containing clear displeasure.
“I didn’t hire any guild to kill my avatar, but quite the opposite, I have hired two organizations to protect my double,”
“I plan to make my double establish a name for himself, which is going on as planned as I have made him create a guild named (Ivory Wolves) and I also have provided him with the (SS) Rank legacy of the Tank that I received from the organization,”
“In the coming month, The Ravenglades Guild will introduce its two new Elders, Anahit and Karyan, two of my companions, and its new Vice Guild Master, who would be me,”
“As for my own legacy, I have luckily got my hands on a [SSS] Rank legacy of tank category,” Alden said, making Alex come to a realization. .𝘯𝘵
‘In my past life, the Allric had a (SSS) Rank legacy, and if I have to guess, the legacy Alden is referring to is the same one,’
‘I thought that with my intervention, a vast majority of the events from my past life would cease to exist, but it looks like nothing major has changed as even the creation of the Ivory Wolves guild has happened,’ Alex thought.
“It is a good plan, and congrats on becoming the vice guild master, but now let’s talk about why you really want to meet me,” Alex said, returning to his calm self.
“I was asking to meet you personally to inform you about this information and also to ask for the help of your organization,” Alden said with a smile as he placed a retractable round shield on the table.
“This is the (SSS) Rank legacy (Runic Guardian), and the objective of the first quest to acquire the legacy is to feed the shield with multiple elemental source crystals of different elements,”
“I have been searching for more than a month, but I cannot find the last fire element source crystal of legendary grade,”
“I am willing to meet any price for any source of information on how I can locate it, and if The Organization could provide me with the source crystal itself, then there is nothing better,” Alden said.
“I will ask about the elemental source crystals from the Higher-ups, and while we wait for the reply, let me tell you about a situation that someone from your family is involved in, which is causing inconvenience for my Organization,” Alex said with a smile.
Alex opened his system and started pretending to be writing a message while Alden had blood drained from his face after hearing Alex’s statement.
