Chapter 186 Meating The Cult Member
After spending a few hours in the room, Alex was escorted to a giant hall for a public appearance and received his reward as the Death game’s champion.
At the end of every day, a banquet was held in the gladiator city where the only individuals who could attend it were the death game participants, VIP game spectators, and permanent VIP Arena members.
The banquet provided opportunities to both gladiators and wealthy and influential individuals, and even though only the death game winners were getting their reward, many still attended it having their motives.
The banquet for today was supposed to be a normal one, as there were no High Ranking games happening, but because of Alex and Hurobak, things took a drastic turn.
Influential giants attended the banquet to make acquaintance or possibly more with the unknown stars who put on the most incredible performance of the decade and showed capabilities rarely heard through stories, let alone seen.
Alex knew he would be dealing with many people and the experience wouldn’t be pleasant, but attending the banquet was compulsory if he wanted to avoid getting in unnecessary trouble with the Gladiator Arena.
The other reason Alex was attending the banquet was because of the exciting information given by Elder Darrien.
Elder Darrien told Alex about how a few cult members had been keeping watch on him for the last few days, and after his performance in the death game, a high-Rank official was sent to recruit him into the cult.
Elder Darrien also told Alex about Virtheon being a cult member, which was pretty surprising because he knew that Virtheon was a cold-hearted yet upright individual.
In the days of the devourer beast invasion, Virtheon was at the front of the battle, providing his space expertise at no extra charge, so his being a cult member made Alex realize two face people could be.
Alex also had a conversation with Hurobak, but he didn’t explain anything just told him that he would do it in private, so they decided on a time and location to meet.
After two hours of talking to Rich Merchants, High-Rank Gladiators, Royals, and Nobles, the individual that Alex was hoping to meet finally decided to talk with him.
‘So he is the high-Rank Demonic Cult member.’ Alex thought, looking at the man in an old-looking dark cloak with twin katanas strapped to his waist.
“I thought this old man would need to wait for the banquet to end to meet the young genius.” The man said, removing his cloak hood.
The man stood at the height of 6.1, a bit shorter than Alex, and had a mature handsome face with sword-like eyebrows, calm ocean-like eyes, ashen gray hair, and a full beard with long hair reaching down his shoulders.
“My name is Ernest Schr?pfer, a humble Elder from the Academy [Blades of Shifting Worlds], and I had the pleasure of watching your battle against the young master of the Lightning Dweller faction.” The man said with a smile offering a handshake.
‘What the F**K?’ Alex thought, hearing the introduction.
Alex was surprised twice, once after hearing that the man was an Elder from the mysterious Academy [Blades of Shifting Worlds] and then from the identity of Hurobak.
The Blades of Shifting Worlds Academy had the same respect in the world as the Thunder Knights Order, but where the order had hundreds of thousands of members, the academy only had a few thousand students at any given time.
The Academy’s strength didn’t even come from its students as they graduated in a few years and went their separate paths, with only a minority becoming a genuine part of the academy.
The Blades of Shifting Worlds was one of the top academies in the world, and the status of one of its Elders was the same as faction master of the Knights Order.
“It is a pleasure to meet you,” Alex said, accepting the handshake with a smile while controlling his emotions.
Alex knew that Demonic Cult had deep roots in the power ranking of the Human Continent, but he never thought they would even have members of such high status in world-renowned organizations.
“The ability to stay calm and confident in an unexpected situation is a must to become a great warrior, and very few individuals would learn it, particularly genius, because of their pride,” Ernest said, seeing Alex looking him in the eyes.
“The World is a vast place filled with unknown horrors and individuals of unparalleled strength, and thinking about them helps me keep my pride in check and make me progress toward achieving greater goals,” Alex replied.
“I would like to meet the person responsible for molding you into a fine warrior,” Ernest said in his friendly tone.
‘I will tell you what you want.’ Alex thought, having already been informed of the conversation between this man and Virtheon.
“I am sorry to disappoint you, but I don’t have any master, and the man responsible for helping me develop the skills and achievements left this world many millennia ago,” Alex replied, hinting at having a legacy.
Alex knew about Ernest’s purpose as he was told about his conversation with Virtheon, and using that info, he had prepared to present a believable story by mixing truth with lies to achieve his goal.
Alex wasn’t worried about getting caught lying, even if the other party was an Elemental Ruler, because of a Unique grade potion that masked him from the world laws making it impossible to tell his lies apart from the truth.
“I fully believe in the capabilities of the Thunder Knight Order, but I could confidently say that My Academy is one of the best institutions in teaching the Art of battle.”
“So, If you ever want to learn from the best, then the doors of Blades of Shifting Worlds Academy Academy will always be open for you,” Ernest said, handing him a blue crystal badge with a mark of a blade without a handle on an intricate globe.
‘I am never joining any academy, at least not with the intention of learning.’ Alex thought, looking old man exiting the hall.
Alex stored the badge in his inventory and stood in silence, waiting for the reward distribution to start, and after an hour of waiting, Virtheon started giving the rewards.
After taking his reward, Alex was free to leave the banquet, and he did just that, leaving the hall without caring for the individuals trying to strike up a conversation with him and leaving toward the training chamber.

‘I completely forgot about the system reward for winning the Death Game.’ Alex thought, checking his system notifications.
???????????
“System Notifications”
“Congratulations, Player Hidden One, on winning the Death Game ( Treasure Hunt).”
“Reward: 1.2 Million Galactic Shop Coins, Silver Grade Wish.”
.
.
“Galactic Shop Unlocked”
???????????
‘Let’s check the galactic Shop.’ Alex thought quickly, opening the newly opened shop.

Galactic Coins: 1.2 Million
??????????
Alex looked at the familiar window with many options for every field of life and technology, and after a moment of nostalgia and old memories, he quickly opened the advanced Biotechnology and searched for the life pod technology.
‘I expected the price to be high, but this is still higher than my estimate.’ Alex thought, checking the details.
?━━━━━━?
Name: Life Pod
Grade: World Grade
Category: Blueprint
Price: 2.4 Billion GC
Description: A healthcare product that could examine and detect most Mortal abnormalities in a living organism’s body and cure them using medicinal products.
The Life Pod could cure cancer, and any mortal disease could recreate new organs, body parts, etc.
?━━━?
[Additional technologies required to use the Life Pod: V-7 Self-healing Nano Bots, V-2 Pico Bot, Gen-4th Artificial Intelligence, Life Grade Medicine (Low to High).

After checking the cost of the life pod, Alex did the same with the other required technologies to get an estimated amount he needed to earn.
‘I will need to gather around 6 Billion coins in total to purchase this technology which will take me more than a year even with my knowledge and help from my organization.’
‘I can always work with the government to purchase the additional technologies, which would help me get things done in a much shorter time.’ Alex thought, trying to devise a plan to earn the required funds.
The Life Pod technology was so expensive because of its immense value, and even though it was costly to use because of the medicine required, its effects were also nothing short of supernatural.
After a short walk, Alex reached the training chambers and started training his battle arts in high gravity because he knew he was being watched from the shadows.
Elder Darrien had informed Alex about Ernest keeping watch on him, and because of that, he needed to keep his behavior in check until that old dog was satisfied and completely believed his story.
