Chapter 172 Thunder Knight Trial (2)
“I am not here to waste time, so initiate the fighter or I will do it myself.” The blue hair man said as he slammed his spear on the ground.
“I am just wondering if I defeat the three of you in under one minute, will it count as an excellent performance, or would I fail the trial because I beat up three prestigious Thunder Knights,” Alex said, just to mess with his opponent.
Alex wanted to join the demonic cult in the next forty days and to achieve it, he needed all the fame and help he could get, and debuting as an anomaly by beating up three trained thunder knights fitted perfectly with his plan.
‘He is a thunder Knight even with a big ego.’ Alex thought, seeing his opponent not giving him any reaction.
‘Let’s see how fighting in a different body feels.’ Alex thought as he unsheathed his sabre.
Alex used the mana step and mana sense, the only two skills he could for the next forty days, and sprinted forward, vanishing from his place like a ghost.
“BOOOM”
‘He has some good instincts.’ Alex thought, seeing his opponent defend his attack using his spear while piercing it into the ground to stop his body from getting flung back.
Alex didn’t use even half his strength with his first swing because he didn’t want to injure his opponent while he was not expecting such an attack.
‘Let’s increase the pace and strength.’ Alex thought as he used minimal movement to avoid the four thunder spears fired at him.
Alex moved forward, appearing in the attack in an instant, and lowered his body close to the ground avoiding the spear cracking with blue lightning aimed at him, and swung his saber upward, connecting it to the ribs.
Alex’s opponent got flung to the right flying through the air, and just before crashing, he used his spear to do a quick side flip to land on his feet.
“You should call your buddies back into the game because you alone have zero chance of defeating me,” Alex said, stretching his arms and neck.
“If you have just controlled your tongue, then you could have passed the trial, but now you will die.”
“Let me show the difference between you and a Thunder Knight.” The man said, and instantly his was covered in blue lightning.
‘The Lightning Embodiment Battle Art (sub-skill) Lightning Aura,’ Alex thought, recognizing the skill.
‘If you want to use your big skills, then It’s time I get serious.’ Alex thought, seeing the spear tip getting covered in dark blue lightning.
Alex sprinted forward, pushing his agility to the limit, and slashed his sabre, clashing with the spear head-on and resulting in the spear being flung back.
Alex moved forward and started slashing, forcing his opponent to be on defense as each strike carried left a mark on the protective barrier of lightning, pushing him back without being able to do anything.
Alex’s opponent used an excellent defensive and attack skill combination, and it would have worked against any opponent of similar strength, but against Alex with his high stat advantage, it didn’t help much.
After a few seconds, the thunder shield protecting his opponent started to crack under the barrage of attack, and seeing the development clear surprise could see on every person’s face in the room.
“How the hell are you so strong?” The man asked as he jumped back to create distance.
“You should call your buddies back into the game because there won’t be any more chances,” Alex said as he looked toward the two individuals.
“Nigel, Adalene, keep him busy for a moment.” The man said, and instantly both individuals sprinted toward Alex.
‘Let’s end this trail.’ Alex thought, seeing he had achieved his goal by dominating the strongest person.
Nigel charged toward him with a battle axe, and while still a few feet away, he slammed it on the ground, which sent a shock wave like a magnitude ten earthquake.
The shockwave rocked Alex’s footing, making him stop, and the next instant, spikes came out of the ground, which he easily destroyed with a few quick slashes.
“Wind Prison”
“Chains of Fire”
“Flame Tornado.”
Adalene used one skill after the other, capturing Alex in place, and then she cast the big move, creating a giant magic circle around Alex while Nigel bombarded him with earth spears.
In the time it took Alex to break free from his restraint, the giant magic circle around him was completed and had started releasing raging wind and intense flames in vast amounts.
Alex felt all his unprotected area burning, but he didn’t panic and bent his body closer to the ground, clenched the muscles in his legs, and sprinted forward, brute forcing his way through the intense revolving wing and flames.
What welcomed Alex outside the tornado was a giant boulder covered in spikes and Adalene having a spell circle over her head that was ready to be completed.
‘The teamwork is great, but it won’t work.’ Alex thought as he rewound his arm and through his sabre toward the female while holding his strength back as he didn’t want to kill her. b𝚍nov𝚕.com
The sabre vanished the moment it left Alex’s hand, and very the next instant, it tore through the leg of Adalene, cutting it clean.
Adalene screamed at the top of her lungs, and the spell she was preparing vanished into thin air, and as for Nigel, he sensed Alex’s intention and through the spiky boulder at him, but he was a bit too late.
After throwing the saber, Alex didn’t have enough time to avoid the giant boulder, so he did a quick spin and through a bare-knuckle punch with all the strength he could put into it.
“BOOOMMM”
‘That f**king hurt.’ Alex thought as he felt his shoulder dislocated and his arm bone cracking from multiple locations.
Alex successfully destroyed the boulder, and even though his arm was injured, it was nothing major, and with the regeneration passive, his injured arm was already back to healing at a slow pace.
Alex sprinted toward Nigel easily, avoiding the barrage of spears, and an instant later, he caught him by his neck, slammed him on the ground, and punched him in the face with all his strength.
Alex didn’t stop with just one punch and kept throwing more, one after the other, and only stopped when he saw that Nigel was unconscious.

“You should use your best empowerment skill because I want to defeat you while you are at your strongest.” The last standing man said as he threw Alex’s Sabre toward him.
‘He now has greater agility than me which would be good to push the limits of my mana sense.’ Alex thought as he caught the sabre.
“Who said you can defeat me after using a flashy trick?” Alex said as he shortened the area of his mana sense to ten meters.
“It’s your choice.” The man replied and vanished from his place, appearing before Alex with his spear aimed at his head.
‘This is going be fun.’ Alex thought as he avoided the spear and slashed forward.
