Not long after Qian’er had started tailing Li Yi, she was spotted by Li Yi. After making a fuss for some time, the two decided to travel together, and they reached the outskirts of Karan City a while later.

Li Yi handed Qian’er ten Morphing Potions. Then, they transformed into demons and entered the city together.

Li Yi conveyed Alenod’s message to Aragon and handed him the Potion of Revealment.

However, Aragon did not take it. He maintained a neutral expression and shook his head. Then, he limped over to a tattered little bed to catch fifty winks.

Qian’er asked, “Has the quest been completed?”

Li Yi shook his head. “Not yet.”

“Follow me.”

Li Yi dragged Qian’er out of the straw hut and brought her to the safe area within Karan City, the Uninhabited Straw Hut.

“Don’t move around. Wait here for me.”

“Okie-dokie.”

Qian’er nodded her head. With that, Li Yi left the Uninhabited Straw Hut and went off in search of the Infuser, Naixiu.

Li Yi still had a healthy amount of Rainbow Diamonds. In order to improve his Attribute Infusion’s mastery, he had even stopped himself from upgrading the Evil God Summoning Scroll.

Li Yi found Naixiu. [Hand her a Rainbow Diamond?]

Naixiu extended her palm to receive it, and the moment she did, her eyes lit up. “Hoho, how did you know about my affection for shiny objects?”

The system notified Li Yi that her Affinity towards him had increased. Once Li Yi confirmed it, he then handed one Rainbow Diamond after another to Naixiu.

The Rainbow Diamond was the only special gem that was capable of increasing Naixiu’s affinity. However, giving her too many of them at once would be a waste of resources. This was because the system had been set up in a way such that it made no difference whether players gifted her a single Rainbow Diamond or a hundred at a time. Regardless of the amount given, her Affinity would still raise by the same increment. It was for this reason that Li Yi chose to hand her one diamond at a time…

After giving out a dozen or so Rainbow Diamonds, a beaming smile crept onto Naixiu’s face. Once again, she imparted the secrets of Attribute Infusion to Li Yi.

Li Yi backtracked, and before his transformation had run out, he returned to Aragon’s little hut.

Though the transformation potion on him would allow him to turn into a demon anywhere and anytime he wished, in order to trigger Aragon’s quest, he would need to let the transformation expire. Moreover, he needed to be in Aragon’s hut when his transformation expired, otherwise, the quest would fail to be triggered.

When Li Yi arrived at the hut, Aragon was still lying in his bed. He cast a murky gaze at his dilapidated surroundings and did not mutter a single word.

Soon after, Li Yi’s demon transformation expired.

It was then that Aragon finally spoke, “I used to be like you, a human…”

Golden light emanated from Li Yi’s body. He had completed the quest, The Forgotten Hero of Humanity.

The following were the rewards that Li Yi received: 5 million EXP points, his feat being recorded in the Hall of Fame, and 1,000 Affinity Points from both Alenod and Aragon towards him.

Aragon abruptly stood up. He gazed at Li Yi and said, “It was I who destroyed the Magical Net of Protection. It was through my efforts that humankind managed to defeat the demons. Had I not existed; what would the current Pantheon Continent even look like?”

“I am one of humanity’s four heroes, but why can’t I find my name in any historical records? Why was I branded as a traitor? Why was I turned into a despicable demon?” The more Aragon spoke, the angrier he got. He was pointing his finger at Li Yi as if Li Yi was the one who had betrayed him.

Li Yi shook his head. Once again, he took out the Potion of Revealment and offered it to Aragon.

“The only reason you have been misunderstood was due to your appearance. If you return to your human form, humanity will still recognize you as one of their heroes.”

Aragon still did not take the potion. After thinking for a moment, he asked, “You said that you met Alenod. How did he look like when you saw him?”

“He was a penguin.”

Aragon laughed bitterly as he shook his head. “The Sixth Demon God really wasn’t lying. Alenod has really become a penguin…”

“He spent thousands of years in search of a Potion of Revealment, but when he had finally found one, he could not bring himself to use it. Instead, he asked you to bring it to me. The damned b*stard’s still a fool…”

After heaving a sigh and pushing away the Potion of Revealment, Aragon stated, “Bring it back to Alenod. Tell him… tell him that I allow him to reclaim his human form.”

Ding! The chime of an automatic quest acceptance could be heard.

Though Li Yi was aware that this was part of the quest’s progression, he could not help but ask, “What about you?”

Aragon gave a sad smile. “I haven’t been a human in a long time. So… I won’t be needing this item.”
