Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

"I know you are treating me really well but you are also avoiding me? You didn't tease me when we were in the bathroom like you normally do neither did you talk to me since the others left, are you angry at me?" Jasmine asked as she turned and cupped his face when she saw that he was trying to avoid her gaze.

"If I did something wrong then I am sorry...,"

"You didn't do anything wrong but instead I am the one at fault. Although I claim to love you very much I can't believe I couldn't do the simplest thing as protecting you," Jackson said painfully.

"Was these your reason for acting so strangely?" Jasmine asked. Although she did not say it the truth is she felt so happy that she was not the cause of why he was angry.

"Jackson Smith, I don't know whether I have told you this before but listen carefully hmm," Jasmine continued cupping his face while staring into his eyeballs.

"I, Jasmine Avans is not the type of lady who requires the protection of a man. I am absolutely not a damsel in distress I am sure you are aware of this. Although I am a big-time troublemaker, I am capable of protecting myself, got it?" Jasmine asked sternly.

"I am not feared by men just because of my ability to bring men to their knees with my seducing ability but men are scared of me because of my ability to fight. The entire men in Central city and beyond knows that I am not a pushover that is the second reason they dare not try to mess around with me so have a little confidence in your woman ok?" Jasmine said as she tapped his chest gently.

"Why do I not feel reassured even though you told me all that? I mean you easily got kidnapped by those fools despite your skills...,"

"That is because they used tricks. I would have taught those idiots a serious lesson had they not made me faint before they kidnapped me," Jasmine said fiercely.

"I believe you but there is something I am curious about...,"

"What are you curious about?" Jasmine asked seriously as she continued staring at his face.

"Didn't you tell me once that your old man's men are always following you to keep an eye on you so why were they not there that night?" Jackson asked curiously as he raised his hand and caress her face.

"I threatened to not only make them suffer but their entire family if they dare follow me again...,"

"Why did you do that? I am sure you wouldn't have gotten kidnapped if you didn't get them off your tail," Jackson said sounding slightly upset.

"I did that because I hate having my father monitor my every move. I despised having him tell me what to do and what not to do. Letting his men always follow me about feel like I don't have a life of my own and I loathe this...," Jasmine trailed as she looked away. She removed her hand from his face.

"I hate being controlled the most and I despised it when he used those I love to threaten me. He wouldn't know those I hang out with if his men don't follow me. I don't want him to use you to threaten me into doing something I dislike," Jasmine concluded seriously.

Her father has the habit of letting his men keep tabs on her. This has been his habit for as long as she can recall. Through the information given to him by the men he always tends to make things difficult for her.

This had been the case when she wanted to start her company.

Raising funds and finding investors had been her biggest challenge and this was because of her father's intervention.

He never wanted her to work outside of the family business that is why his executive assistant had always met her investors behind her back.

It was a miracle she found investors who weren't swayed by her father's words or offer. She would have ended up dancing to his tone if she never met such investors.

"If you hate it then it's ok. There is no need to get upset about it," Jackson said as he pulled her close to himself. He wrapped his hands around her body.

"Since you hate your father's men following you, I will tell Max to arrange some of our best men to protect you...,"

"You don't have to do that. I am fine and I will continue to be fine as long as I have you beside me," Jasmine said as she embraced him tightly. Jackson wanted to argue with her on this but he changed his mind when he realised that she wasn't in a really great mood.

"Wait here while I go get the first aid kit," Jackson said before he released her and slowly climbed out of bed.

"Oh... and don't forget to call Catherine. She has been dying to talk to you," Jackson said when he was at the door.

"He is right. I am sure she must have been damn worried about me judging from what Ice Prince told me earlier," Jasmine said as she scrutinised the room in search of her cell phone.

After she saw it lying at the centre table she hopped with one leg to where the phone was kept. It was when she made it to go back to the bed that Jackson entered the room once again. He hurried to her side to assist her.

"I have told you not to move about since you are injured. Whatever you want, let me know and I will get them for you...,"

"And what if you are not around?" Jasmine who has just been lifted from the floor asked.

"Lilian is there and so are the other maids. There will be at your service when I am not around you so make sure to ask for their services. I have promised to fire all of them if they let you move about when you are still unwell," Jackson said sternly as he carried her back to the bed.
