Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

"Sure, I am less busy now," Kai said. Just then his mum climbed down the stairs.

"Let's meet up in Barb Cafe in fifteen minutes. I will be waiting for you," Jasmine replied with a smile on her face.

"Ok, see you in a few minutes, Jasmine. I will be there on time," Kai said before he hung up the call.

"Did you just say Jasmine earlier? You are still keeping in touch with that She-devil who almost destroyed our family and your future?" Mrs Allen said angrily.

"Mum, there is nothing to get so upset about. She just wants us to meet and talk. Also, Jasmine is not like everyone says or think. She is quite a nice lady," Kai said seriously.

"Did you just say she is a nice lady? How could a nice lady do what she did and how dare you to defend her after what she put our family through?" Mrs Allen asked in annoyance as she stood in front of him.

"Mum, I am sure it was never her intention to hurt me or our family...,"

"Do you think I don't know that she has been hanging out with Jackson very often before the incident that went viral? Do you think about from the reports our men gives us every day that Jane hasn't told us the type of lady she is?" Mrs Allen asked showing no sign of calming down.

"Mum, I don't know what your men told you or what Jane said about Jasmine but all I know is that whatever they told you is wrong. I have to get ready for my appointment, I won't argue with you anymore," Kai said as he stood up to leave but she obstructed his path.

"I will not let you meet that evil witch. I am sure she is up to no good again...,"

"Mum, stop being unreasonable. I am no longer a child that you could control. I am a man and I can make my decisions. Stop making things difficult for me. Besides, I never said I wanted to meet up with her to settle things with her. Everyone had already known that she is in a relationship with Jackson. What could I possibly do at this state even though I have feelings for her," Kai said sounding upset. Mrs Allen did not want him to walk away but she had no choice but to let him go when she saw that her son was angry.

While Kai was battling with his mum, Jackson working in his office got an unexpected visitor. Without the elderly lady saying anything, Jackson knew why she was there. He has been ignoring her calls for over a week now so he had expected that she would somehow find ways to talk to him.

"Mum, welcome," Jackson said as he stood up from his desk and went to the centre of the room.

"So you still recall that I am your mother and yet you are treating me so harshly?" Mrs Smith said as she sat down in one of the couches. Jackson shifted his gaze towards Max standing at the door.

"Max, get mum a cup of coffee...,"

"Or should I change it to a cold juice because I think mum will need it a lot today," Jackson said. He knew very well that his mum came there to pick a fight with him, there was no doubt. It was written all over her face.

"Tell Mary to make sure that no other person enters my office for the period mum is here," Jackson said as he beckon him to get going.

"Mum, I am glad that you are here but judging from your expression I guess you are not very happy to see me," Jackson said playfully. Jackson sat on the opposite couch with his legs crossed.

"I am glad you are aware of what you have done wrong," Mrs Smith said as she dropped her handbag on the centre table.

"I don't remember doing anything wrong mum...,"

"Didn't I tell you that your future wife will be none other than Jane so why did you get into a scandal with that daughter of Avans group?" Mrs Smith quickly went to the reason she was there.

"And mum I also recall telling you that I will never get married to Jane. Even though you were to hold a gun or dagger at my neck and ask me to make a choice, I would rather choose to die than get married to another lady other than Jasmine," Jackson said firmly.

"You want to marry a lady like her? That will never happen," Mrs Smith said fiercely.

"No matter what you say or do I am not and I will never be in support of your relationship with her," Mrs Smith stood her ground.

"That is so unfortunate then. Mum will have to watch her son get married to the one he loves without being able to attend his wedding," Jackson said carefreely. His nonchalance fuelled the anger of the already angry woman.

"Let's see whether you will still act so stubborn when I order her to stay away from my son," Mrs Smith said as she folded her arms. Both mother and son proved to be very stubborn.

Max who was sent to bring the cup of juice decided to stay over there. He would only get picked on if he dares to enter the office when they were quarrelling so he did rather save himself the trouble.

"You wouldn't do that mum. I know you are kidding...,"

"Have I ever joked around with this expression on?" Mrs Smith asked in a stern tone.

"If you insist on picking a fight with Jasmine I won't stop you. The least I will do is call and tell her to prepare for a showdown with my mum and she will do just that...," Jackson trailed.

"But mum if you get insulted or hurt by her just know that I will not help you neither will I scold her because I am on her side and no one can change my mind," Jackson said in a serious tone.
