Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

"Drop that filthy hands of yours if you don't want to go home with just one hand," Jackson's cold voice stopped Rose in her track. He was so fast to the point that Catherine who was just waiting to break the lady's hand could not react. She was too stunned to speak. Even Jasmine was surprised to see him stand up for her in the presence of everyone.

"Your best friend can make mistake and others can't make mistake? Is that what you are trying to tell all of us here?" Jasmine asked fiercely.

"You...,"

"Mine was a mistake but it is very obvious that yours is intentional," Jane cut her friend short. She knows her to deal with this gutsy lady, she doesn't need her help at the moment.

"How do you know that mine was deliberate? Are you trying to say that you know that I spill the wine intentionally on you because you also spilt the wine deliberately on me?" Jasmine questions firmly.

"That.... that is not what I meant," Jane stammered not knowing what else to say.

"Jasmine, stop arguing with them and let's go so you can change into another outfit," Jackson said preventing her from arguing with the ladies anymore. Jasmine still wanted to pursue the issue but a smart guy like Jackson somehow managed to take her out of the hall he has grown to hate since the moment his mum told him about the engagement announcement.

"That was so cheap of you to resort to such cheap tricks just because you don't like the fact that she is getting closer to Jack," Evelyn said after the two people had left.

"What are you saying?" Jane said putting on the victim act. She did not know that her pretentious act will not work on someone like Evelyn.

"I am saying that Jasmine did exactly what I would have done," Evelyn said before she grabbed Steve's hand and the two of them left the hand. Jeff and Catherine also left the hall.

"Darn that b*tch for winning everyone to her side," Jane mumbled angrily. She felt the urge to vent her anger by either shouting or breaking things but she tried to control her temper when she recalled where they were currently at.

Outside the talk building which serves as the venue for the party, Jackson reaching his car opened the door of the car for her. After they were both sitting he signal his driver to get going.

"Why are you staring at me like that? Are you angry at me for being petty by ruining her dress too?" Jasmine asked feeling uncomfortable by the way Jackson stares at her at the moment.

"Well, I wanted to let it go even though I knew that she spilt the wine on me deliberately but I just couldn't forgive her when I saw the prideful look on their faces after what they did," Jasmine explained in a calm tone.

"Jackson, why did you hold my hand and walk out of there? Were you supposed to hold her hand but mistakenly hold mine?" Jasmine asked curiously as he stare at his face.

"Because I like you," Jackson said in a serious tone. Jackson's reply left Jasmine's head blank. It took her two minutes to assimilate and recover from the shock.

"Ice Prince stop joking while having that serious expression on because you are gonna give me a heart attack if you do that," Jasmine said brushing off his honest word as a joke.

"But I wasn't joking," Jackson said in a serious tone again.

"I dare you to say that again, I will kiss you to get back at you for trying to mess with not only my head but emotions," Jasmine staring at him threatened.

"I am being honest with you but you won't believe...," Jasmine kissed him before he could complete his words. Before the kiss could get intense Jasmine pulled away.

"That is your punishment for saying such a thing. Your fiance isn't here so quit with the pretence," Jasmine said as she turned and look out of the window. His confession was very sincere but Jasmine pretended or should I say fail to see it.

"If you were really serious about the punishment then you should have made the kiss longer," Jackson said as he stare at the back of her hair.

It looks like I am a few steps away from getting what I have always wanted. She has become attracted to me without even knowing it. My patience has finally paid off.

Jackson thought his lips curling into a beautiful smile.

The journey from then on was very quiet. While she was enjoying the beautiful night scenery of the city, he was taking pleasure in glaring at her.

Jackson frowned when his driver informed him that they had reached their first destination.

"Jasmine, we have a date in two days. Try and create out time for dinner," Jackson informed after Jasmine got out of the car.

"Will you finally proposed to her?" Jasmine asked not feeling excited at all.

"We will see about that," Jackson said before he signal his driver to ignite the car.

"He is a very cool guy, he deserves the best and I am happy for him," Jasmine mumbled after his car has gone out of sight. She entered the mansion afterwards.

In front of Catherine's apartment, Jeff prevented her from slipping away after he has parked his car.

"Catherine, are you mad at me because of what transpired between us?" Jeff asked as he stare at her face which was not facing him.

"I never intended for that to happen so please will you stop ignoring me? I will apologise if that is what you want but please will you start talking to me again after I have apologised?" Jeff asked as he refused to let go of her hand.

"I like you a lot and I don't regret what happened between us but if you feel ashamed by it then I am sorry for...,"

"I will never talk to you again if you apologise to me for what happened," Catherine now facing him said sternly.
