Chapter 160 - Your House?
"Where the hell is this place. It is so beautiful," Catherine remarked as she stares at the field filled with flowers of different species. Even flowers whose names she did not know were present there.
"The field belongs to my grandma. My grandma is crazy about flowers so she employed flower experts around the world to help her plant the flowers. She has been tending to it since then that is why the field is still very neat and beautiful despite that it has been over ten years," Jeff said as he looked around the huge field whose main products were only flowers.
"Wow, your grandma and Jasmine will really get along if they meet because Jasmine loves flowers. I also began to adore the beauty of flowers because of her," Catherine said smiling.
"Jasmine would have gone wild if she was here. She would have refused to go back home because she doesn't want to part with this beautiful scenery," Catherine said as she began walking around. Jeff followed her closely. Seeing how the beautiful smile on her face refuses to fade, he was so glad that he brought her there.
After five minutes of walking, he found a suitable spot to drop the bag hanging on his shoulders before they resumed walking while taking pictures. The lovestruck Jeff used this golden opportunity to stockpile his cellphone with pictures of her.
Meanwhile, in Central City, Jasmine whose car just parked in front of Avans main mansion exhaled deeply before she came down from the white sports car.
The beautiful lady adorned in a fitted green suit handed her car keys to her family driver so he could park the car properly before she approached the entrance. Standing in front of the brown door, Jasmine put on a fake smile before she entered the house.
Reaching the sitting room, Jasmine saw her father sitting on the brown couch with a brown envelope lying on the marble centre table. From the expression on his face, Jasmine could see that her father was not in a good mood. Her mother sat on the opposite couch.
Goddamn it! Why did I have to come at such bad timing!
Jasmine thought as she approached where they were seated.
"Good evening mum, father," Jasmine greeted to make her presence known. The maids on seeing their Young Miss around quickly took that as a signal to leave the sitting room. Each time their second Young Miss visit the mansion they had always done this. Only her father's butler was left in the sitting room as the only employee.
Mr Avans raised his gaze from the brown envelope to see where the familiar voice came from. Her mum also raises her gaze to stare at her.
Judging from her mum's worried expression, Jasmine became even more certain that something was wrong.
"Where are you coming from?" Mr Avans cold voice breaks off the silence.
"My house of course," Jasmine replied dryly. Her playful traits were long gone. The way she talked was as if she was talking to a stranger and not her father.
"Your house?" Mr Avans asked his voice carrying a hint of annoyance. Jasmine watches as he brought out the content of the brown envelope.
"If that is the case then tell me what this is about. Tell me that it wasn't you acting intimate with another man in public. Deny it, Jasmine," Mr Avans said as he angrily threw the pictures on the centre table. Some of them fell on the floor.
Jasmine took a proper view of the pictures lying on the table. She gritted her teeth when she realised that the pictures were that of her and Jackson in the amusement park earlier. Scene of how she smeared Jackson's face was captured and scenes, where she held his hands and also lean on his hands, were also captured. Even the scene she hugged Jackson after their last ride was also taken. In all the pictures the beautiful smile on her face to show how happy she was never left her face.
"He is just my friend...,"
"Did you just say he is a mere friend? Is this how you act with a friend Jasmine and are all the men in Central City your friends?" Mr Avans asked angrily.
"Father, is it wrong for me to hang out with my friend? And we weren't doing anything wrong in the picture so why are you getting so furious with me when I barely arrived?" Jasmine asked as she tried her best not to flare up.
"Did you just say you weren't doing anything wrong?" Mr Avans asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"How could a lady who has a fiancee and will soon be getting married act so close to another man? What image are you trying to give yourself and our family by acting this way with another man in public other than your fiancee? Jasmine, if you think that you can soil our family's prestige that I have worked so hard to build then you are very wrong," Mr Avans said his tone rising at every interval.
"Our family's prestige?" Jasmine chuckled to the further annoyance of her father.
"Isn't that what you have always been after? I have told you from the onset that I didn't want to marry the Young Master of the Allen family but you still force me into it. You would rather sacrifice your daughter's happiness just for the sake of your so-called prestige. What kind of a....," Mr Avans stood up and slap Jasmine before she could complete her sentence.
"All you have ever done was shut me up by hitting me but today I won't keep quiet," Jasmine said as she turned and glared at her father.
"Jasmines stop it...," Mrs Avans said as stood up too. It was at this instant that some group of visitors arrive. The atmosphere was too tensed for either of the three people to realise the presence of the visitors.
"All you have ever done was forced or threaten us to do your will. You didn't mind sacrificing my happiness just to save your ego. You ruin my life father so you can't blame me for acting this way because you are responsible for what I have become...," Mr Avans raised his hand to hit her again but a lady's voice stopped him in his track.
"Dad!" Elizabeth standing close to the door with her other partners shouted at the top of her lungs. Although her partners were surprised to witness the scene they stayed composed.
Elizabeth quickly rushed to where Jasmine was standing.
"Dad please lower your hand. You don't want to show your inlaws how messed up our family is right?" Elizabeth standing in front of Jasmine tried to persuade as she stares at her father's raised hand.
"Elizabeth is right, lower your hand. Your son-in-law is here, I am sure you don't want him to witness this scene right?" Mrs Avans said persuasively.
"Mum, Lizzy, let him slap me. He takes pleasure in suppressing us so don't stop him. I am...,"
"Stop it too, Jasmine," Elizabeth said as she turned to face Jasmine seeing that her father has dropped his hand.
"I am not...,"
"Please...," Elizabeth pleaded on seeing that Jasmine will not let it go.
"I have been welcomed enough so I think it is time for me to take my leave," Jasmine said as she turned to leave.
"Jasmine, it has been a very long time you visit home so stay over for dinner," Mrs Avans said in a soft tone seeing that Jasmine was about to leave after just arriving some minutes ago.
"Yes, Jasmine mum is right it has been over a year since we last ate together as a family so let's have dinner together," Elizabeth supported as she held onto Jasmine's left hand before she could walk away.
"I have always been the bad one. I do nothing but ruin everyone's mood, I don't think it will make a difference if I stay over for dinner. And I dont think anyone will miss me....,"
"Jasmine, please just stay over for mum's sake. She is pleading with you so sincerely won't you at least agree to this one request of hers?" Elizabeth supported to the surprise of her husband still standing at the entrance. He found it surprising that Elizabeth who was always at loggerheads with Jasmine will stand up for her and even plead with her to stay.
What the hell is wrong with my wife? Is she ok?
Alfred thought as he stares at the lady wearing a white jumpsuit.
Jasmine turned to stare at her mum wearing a floral gown. From the expression on her face, she could see that her mum did not want her to leave. She shifted her gaze to her sister whose eyes said she did not want her to leave too.
"Only for you and mum's sake," Jasmine replied sternly. Seeing that the quarrel has been settled the two young guys walked forward.

Hello lovely readers, I just have something to say. I feel suffocated if I keep things to myself so please don't curse or threw insults at me???. Hitting the 1k cheers might make the NovelFull marketing team give the novel a banner which is a very great opportunity for me to get new readers. Getting a banner as a feature will give more exposure to the novel thereby making it popular. I know there is no guarantee that the novel will do well but I believe so much in the novel's potential. Since you guys love the novel, I strongly believe that the novel will do well that is why I will not give up on reaching this target.
