Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

No matter how famous her company is, her wealth combine with her family's fortune is not even the tiniest bit compared with the wealth of the Avans Group. In terms of comparison, she was like an ant while the Avans Group is like the rock, steady and impossible to destroy. Any businessman or woman who dares to go against any member of the Avans will suffer unrepairable damage. Such a person will be lucky if he or she doesn't spend his or her entire life in prison.

"If I, Jasmine Avans could respect his love, who dares to go close to him?" Jasmine asked firmly. She did not see a reason why she should answer her other questions.

"What do you mean?" Carmella asked curiously.

"And why on Earth should I answer that question of yours?" Jasmine fired back harshly.

"Risking your blooming company for a man is good and that would have been if he had an interest in you. If you are wise you would choose wisely because I, Jasmine does not go back on my words," Jasmine said as she tapped Carmella on her right shoulder.

"Why are you so cruel?" Carmella asked when Jasmine was a few distances from her.

"Because life had taught me well. Only the hardhearted can write their destiny don't you know that?" Jasmine whose back was facing Carmella said before she walked away.

Carmella stares at her until she disappeared. On reaching downstairs, Jasmine who loved sitting beside Jackson sat on the opposite couch. Jackson whose gaze has been focused on her since she resurfaced could see the change in her mood.

"What did you say to her? I hope you didn't beat her up?" Jackson joked just so he could see Jasmine smile like she normally did but Jasmine did not smile.

"I might dislike her but why would I dirty my hand by beating her up when I can do that with my words?" Jasmine asked in a harsh tone.

"What did she mean by her last sentence earlier?" Jasmine asked as she raised her gaze and stare at him.

"You both said a lot of words earlier, I don't know which of them you are referring to?" Jackson played ignorance when he clearly knew which of Carmella's words Jasmine was referring to.

"Haven't you gotten your reply now? This is who she is so don't get fooled by her fake acting," Jasmine repeated Carmella's earlier sentence words for words without missing or rephrasing any part.

"These are the words she said before she left so tell me the hidden meaning behind those words," Jasmine said in a serious tone.

"She told me you were heartless but I said otherwise, so I guess she was trying to say that I was wrong," Jackson said carefreely.

"I guess she is right about that," Jasmine said before she tilted her head sideways to avoid staring at him. She rested her back against the couch and closed her eyes afterwards.

I was never heartless in the beginning. I was the loveliest girl ever. I believed so much in love that finding true love did not only become my goal but also my belief. When I thought I had found my one through love I did not relent to give my heart in entirety. I loved him so much to the point that there was no space left for myself or anyone. I made him my world that is why when he betrayed me, my world and belief came crashing down. I was broken to the point of no repair. Apart from vouching never to resurrect my dead heart, I became a vengeful lady. Because I was naturally gifted, I did not need to put so much effort into seducing men and until this moment I have never regretted my decisions back then and I don't think I would ever do that.

Jasmine thought with her eyes still closed.

"Jasmine, are you ok? Did she say any hurtful words to you?" Jackson asked in a worried tone.

"What could happen to me?" Jasmine asked. Her voice came out shaky.

"If what you said is correct then why are tears flowing from your eyes?" Jackson asked his eyes focused on her face. His eyes trailed the tears which were about to fall onto her red dress. His heart hurt to see her like this.

Jasmine quickly cleaned the tears before they could fall.

Damn! Why are there tears in my eyes? And even though it had to fall why did it have to be in front of Ice Prince. I am sure he will make fun of me after this.

Jasmine thought as she opened her eyes.

"Something flew into my eyes earlier," Jasmine lied.

"You...," Steve's sudden presence disrupted him from completing his words.

You could deceive everyone else with your fake smiles and not me.

Jackson thought when he saw Jasmine smile at Steve.

"Steve, you don't only smell delicious but you look delicious. I am tempted to have a bite out of you," Jasmine said as she stared at Steve who was currently wearing a white apron. Steve stole a secret glance at Jackson to see what his reaction will be. He quickly looked away when he saw the killing intent in his eyes.

"You don't only look sexy in that apron but you look like an ideal husband," Jasmine said maintaining her smiling face. Jackson's frown deepened when he heard her easily give Steve the title she refused to give him earlier.

"I am sure Jack will look sexier in it," Steve replied. The way Jasmine was praising him in front of Jackson made him feel scared for his life.

"Steve...,"

"Where is Carmella? She did not leave without informing me right?" Steve asked as he stares at their faces for answers.

"She is upstairs in your room," Jasmine replied nonchalantly.

"Ooh...," Steve exclaimed as a smile appears on his once disappointed face. He made to approach the stairs but Jasmine's next words made him stop in his track.
