Miracle Pill Maker Bullies the Boss

Chapter 1012 - Stop Being So Self-Righteous

Chapter 1012: Stop Being So Self-Righteous

“In the academic world, it is normal for the same theory to get tested repeatedly. I hardly think it’s a big deal.”

“That is true. Just for Gene Classification alone, there are dozens of theories. Even if you came up with the idea, it doesn’t mean you can stop people from using it, right? In such a case, you are simply being unreasonable.”

“Enough. We did not steal anything from her. Rather than waste time arguing about it, we should really just focus on doing our research. Since we are all from the same university, there is no reason for us to make things ugly.”

Dai Jie frowned the moment he heard what everyone said. He raised his head to look at Jiang Mingyue’s fellow team members. Every single one of them was getting increasingly unreasonable.

What did they mean by making things ugly?

If Jiang Mingyue did not steal Huo Yao’s idea, did Jiang Mingyue have anything to fear?

They had already plagiarized, how could they be so unreasonable now? It was simply repulsive.

Dai Jie felt he had wasted his time going all out helping them with their data analysis.

“You people are a joke. You have already plagiarized without the slightest shame. Don’t you even feel the least bit guilty? If you had any conscience, you would have explained yourself. She hasn’t even made any demands in response to your actions, yet you shamelessly attacked her with all this ridicule trying to make her the villain.”

Dai Jie was so angry that he laughed. He paused before he said, “Are you bullying her because she is a freshman with no one to back her?”

The rest of the research team instantly looked annoyed. Just as they were about to speak, Jiang Mingyue said coldly, “Dai Jie, stop talking to us so self-righteously. No one has bullied her. She was being unreasonable to begin with.”

Jiang Mingyue paused before she continued. “Since you do not want to help us with data analysis, we won’t insist. Whatever it is, thank you for helping.”

By now, Jiang Mingyue had already gradually calmed down from the initial shock of seeing Huo Yao.

Her fellow team members were right. In the history of Biology, plenty of major subjects had gotten repeatedly tested and her thesis and experiment were no different.

Whatever guilt Jiang Mingyue had still suffered finally dissipated thinking about this.

Jiang Mingyue did not want to continue talking to Dai Jie, so she turned to go back into the laboratory. “Let’s go. We shouldn’t let unreasonable people hold us up.”

The thesis was almost due for submission. Rather than waste time arguing, it would be wiser to continue working.

“You lot are absolutely disgusting.” Since Dai Jie was unable to argue his way out of this, he turned to Huo Yao. “Plagiarism is a very serious matter. Why don’t we report it to the department?”

Jiang Mingyue suddenly halted and turned to look at Dai Jie. She smiled and said, “Be my guest. You are welcome to report this to the school. Let the teachers decide whether any plagiarism was committed.”

Everyone knew that her teacher was the Biology department head, Mr. Qi. Also, he was very close to the department fellow. They were welcome to report the matter. Did they have any chance of winning?

Jiang Mingyue scoffed before slamming the laboratory door shut altogether.

It suddenly dawned on Dai Jie that Jiang Mingyue was Mr. Qi’s student. Even though such matters were not directly under Mr.. Qi’s jurisdiction, would he stand aside and do nothing if his student got accused?
