Minecraft: The Conqueror of Multiverse
Chapter 147 Boom!
A massive, glowing angel materialized in the sky over the metropolis. Behind it hovered a magnificent, sacred gate bathed in radiant light. The booming sound of holy choirs echoed from within.
The spectacle instantly caused a massive uproar, with footage going viral all over the internet.
Right on cue, members of the Church of the Holy Arrival swarmed the streets, peddling their doomsday gospel and throwing the public into full-blown panic. Just as GUTS was mobilizing to deal with the cult, the towering angel of light in the sky spoke out.
“The hour of final judgment is upon you. Unless the true demons are destroyed, humanity will face ultimate annihilation. The gates of heaven are about to open. Only the pure who judge the demons may enter paradise and enjoy eternal bliss.”
Down on the ground, a cultist draped in black robes shouted, “Exalted god! Who are the demons?!”
The angel of light answered, “Godzilla and Tiga. Annihilate them, and you shall earn your place in heaven.”
“Destroy Godzilla! Destroy Tiga!” a cultist screamed at the top of his lungs. “Enter heaven!”
“Destroy Godzilla! Destroy Tiga!”
“…”
Whipped into a frenzy by the zealots, more and more clueless civilians began chanting along.
Meanwhile, Daigo, who had been dispatched to investigate the anomaly, had been ambushed by hidden Kyrieloids. They dragged him into an abandoned tunnel and started beating him to a pulp.
A Kyrieloid possessing a female cultist in black robes sneered down at Daigo, who was bruised, bleeding, and collapsed on the concrete.
“Humans truly are a pathetic, stupid species,” she mocked. “So easily manipulated and played like a fiddle. Your fragility is actually hilarious.”
“Humanity… isn’t that weak,” Daigo choked out.
He gritted his teeth and struggled to push himself up off the ground, only for another cultist to kick him back down, planting a heavy boot flat on his chest. Daigo coughed violently, spitting up blood.
“What a pitiful creature.” The robed woman shook her head. “Humanity is destined to be nothing more than slaves to the glorious Kyrieloids.”
“Hey, long legs! Step away from the kid and pick on someone your own size.”
A voice echoed through the tunnel, completely derailing their little beatdown session.
Daigo painfully craned his neck. When he saw who it was, a relieved smile broke through his bruised face.
The robed woman spun around. Three men were strolling into the tunnel, forming a tight triangle formation. It was Vane, Big E, and Keigo Masaki.
“Who the hell are you?” one of the Kyrieloids demanded.
“Just a traveler passing through this world.” Vane dropped into a solid horse stance, bringing his hands up in a classic Wing Chun starting position. “You guys are in here bullying Daigo? That’s way out of line. Apologize to him right now. Or else I’m going to beat the absolute crap out of you, and then I’m going to beat you into the crap.”
“Reckless humans on a suicide mission.” A Kyrieloid scoffed, hurling a ball of pure energy straight at Vane.
Big E batted the energy blast aside with a casual flex of his telekinetic psyker powers. Then he closed the distance in two massive strides and started throwing down with the aliens using nothing but his bare fists.
Even with his immense psychic abilities nerfed, the Emperor’s raw physical strength and martial arts techniques had been honed over millennia. Beating up these aliens was like watching a T-Rex stomp on a flock of baby chicks. A single punch launched one of the aliens dozens of meters through the air, burying it deep into the concrete wall of the tunnel.
The other Kyrieloids stood there, jaws slacked in horror. Is this really power a human can possess?!
Masaki also balled up his fists and charged into the fray. After years of intense physical conditioning, his hand-to-hand combat skills were top-tier.
Vane was just about to jump into the brawl when a system prompt flashed in his vision.
[Quest: Special Training for Daigo. Originating from the transport division, Daigo lacks specialized combat training, which is why he gets his butt handed to him by a handful of random aliens. Please put him through a special training regime and forge him into a mighty guardian of Earth. Rewards: Bamboo Copter x20, Skill “Bullet Time”, Cegorach’s Deceitful Mask, Lucky Block x1, EMC Points +1000, Ring of Dragon’s Breath x1, Ring of Destruction x1, Progression +1%, Title: “Ultraman Tiga’s Strict Father”.]
A new quest?
Vane looked at the notification, pleasantly surprised.
A lot of Minecraft mods actually came with skills. It was just that during world transfers, he couldn’t take them into the new universe. That was the exact reason Vane hadn’t been able to use any skills back in the Warhammer 40k universe.
But now, this quest was straight-up handing out a skill as a reward. This was absolutely huge. Not to mention, the loot pool was way more generous this time around.
At this rate, I’ll probably get my hands on an ultimate weapon before I’m even halfway through the progression. I’ll be able to steamroll every ultimate lifeform out there.
“Daigo, you’re way too weak.”
Vane walked over and offered him a hand, hauling him to his feet.
“Ultraman Tiga is a powerhouse of a hero, yet you’re out here getting your ass kicked and making him look pathetic.”
“You seriously need some special training. Tell you what—come find me once we wrap up this fight.”
“I’ll grab a jeep and run you through a proper workout.”
Heh. Foolish Tiga, prepare to experience the sheer terror of the Jeep Alien.
“Thanks, guys. Seriously,” Daigo said, genuine gratitude in his voice.
“Save the sap for later. Here, eat an apple.” Vane tossed him a Golden Apple.
Daigo took a bite. Instantly, a wave of profound relief washed over him, and all the pain and bruising from the beatdown completely vanished.
“Enough!” the Kyrieloid possessing the female cultist shrieked in fury.
Big E and Keigo Masaki stopped throwing punches, shooting her a confused look.
“You are nothing but a pack of foolish, lowly creatures, while we are the chosen of the great Kyrieloid God—”
Before she could even finish her villain monologue, Big E threw a devastating hook, launching her straight into the concrete wall of the tunnel.
“Old man, you really don’t know how to treat a lady. She had great legs, and you just absolutely leveled her.”
Vane sounded genuinely disappointed. He trotted over, trying to pry the woman out of the crater in the wall.
But the second he reached her, the female cultist shed her human disguise, reverting to her grotesque Kyrieloid form.
“Look, when you were a cute, soft girl, I was perfectly happy. But turning into a butt-ugly alien? Yeah, I don’t like that.”
Vane’s Stand, Steve, materialized and started throwing a barrage of punches at the trapped Kyrieloid. His fists blurred into afterimages. The sheer kinetic force of the blows caused the entire tunnel to shake violently, shaking dust and debris loose from the ceiling.
“Change back, you son of a bitch!”
“That’s enough, Lord Traveler!”
By the time Masaki ran over and dragged Vane away, the Kyrieloid embedded in the wall had been pounded into an unrecognizable, gory paste. It was an absolute bloodbath.
The surviving Kyrieloids watched the brutal execution and practically pissed themselves in terror. They dissolved into streaks of light, desperately fleeing toward the massive angel hovering over the metropolis.
Kyrieloids stationed across the globe felt the psychic panic. They all threw their hands up, transformed into light, and merged with the giant angel in the sky.
Boom!
Accompanied by a blinding flash and an ear-splitting shockwave, two giant-sized Kyrieloids slammed into the ground, causing the entire city to quake.
“You think you’re the only ones who can go big?”
Vane pulled out his Godzilla Summoner.
“When darkness falls, when monsters run rampant and the Earth bleeds, all living things shall call your name. Arise, King of the Monsters, Godzilla!”
Crimson lightning violently tore through the sky as Burning Godzilla materialized, fully revealing himself to the world.
“Why does he have to recite a whole speech just to transform?” Daigo asked Big E, completely baffled.
Big E gave a long, exhausted sigh. “The man just likes hearing himself talk. He thinks it sounds cool.”
“It honestly is pretty cool,” Masaki nodded in agreement. “I really should workshop a badass catchphrase for my own transformations.”
Daigo: “…”
That mysterious guy really is a walking memetic hazard. Hang around him long enough, and you unconsciously start acting just like him.
“Let’s transform and scrub these enemies first.”
Big E couldn’t be bothered to argue with two kids. He immediately transformed into Ultraman Atum, the embodiment of the universe’s genesis and its absolute end.
Daigo transformed into Ultraman Tiga, and Masaki took the form of Ultraman Lux, the light born from the abyss.
The two colossal Kyrieloids were just winding up to attack Godzilla when three massive Ultramen suddenly materialized around them. They instantly froze, completely dumbfounded.
Wait, what?!
Wasn’t there only supposed to be one Ultraman and one monster? Where the hell did the extra two come from?!
