Minecraft: The Conqueror of Multiverse

Chapter 143 Can I Really Become Light Too? (Bonus)

Vane reappeared next to Big E just as a string of system prompts popped up in his vision.

[Quest Complete: Eliminate the four kaiju that attempted to destroy the Ultraman statues.]

[Rewards Granted: Godzilla Transformation Device (Burning Form) x1, Lucky Block x1, Gold Block x100, Diamond x100, EMC Points +500, Completion Progress +1%.]

[Unlocked New Crafting Recipes: Kaiju Golza, Kaiju Melba, Kaiju Garura, Kaiju Zoiger.]

“I gotta say, this upgraded Infinite Pocket Dimension makes conquering multiverses feel incredible!”

“You literally just knock out quests and the resources pour in. If this was like the Warhammer 40k universe where I had to grind until I dropped, who knows how long it would’ve taken to unlock Burning Form. Now? I got it on day one.”

“At this rate, it’ll only take a month or two to completely clear the entire Ultraman multiverse. The pacing is insanely fast now.”

Staring at the shiny new loot in his inventory, Vane was practically buzzing with joy. Thanks to the updated system, the days of brutal grinding were over. Now, he could just steamroll through everything and actually enjoy the ride.

“Why is it that you can morph into a giant kaiju, but I can’t even use my psychic powers?” Big E walked over to Vane, thoroughly confused.

“Because my rules overwrite the rules of this universe,” Vane explained, glancing at Big E. “And honestly, stop obsessing over your rusty psychic tricks. We’re in a whole new universe—try branching out and playing with something else for a change.”

“Playing with what else?” Big E asked, clearly not following.

“Wanna become Light and turn into an Ultraman?” Vane flashed a wicked grin.

“Me?” Big E pointed a finger at his own chest. “Can I really become Light, too?”

“Yup. You absolutely can,” Vane nodded with total confidence.

If his memory wasn’t completely scrambled, Tiga and Dyna belonged to the same timeline. In ancient times, the Light of Hope that Tiga represented descended upon Earth. Alongside other Ultra Warriors, they fought to protect early humanity. However, since Ultramen couldn’t remain active on Earth indefinitely, they chose human hosts to operate through. Those hosts were exactly what the GUTS squad referred to as the ancient warriors. Their descendants retained those genetic markers, allowing them to transform back into Light and wake up the dormant giants.

But that didn’t mean ancient DNA was a strict requirement to become Light. Shin Asuka, Ultraman Dyna’s human host, didn’t have a single drop of ancient warrior blood in him. He simply earned the acknowledgment of the universe’s Miracle Light and became an Ultraman anyway.

As long as you could find a way to convert into Light—or get the Light to acknowledge you—you could become an Ultraman. Other civilizations in the multiverse, like the Land of Light, Planet O-50, or the Absolutians, proved this fundamental rule. As long as you could become Light, you could grow giant and morph into either a kaiju or an Ultraman.

“So, how do I do it?” Big E asked, his interest instantly piqued.

From the moment he learned this universe had Ultramen, he’d been scheming on how to export the tech back home. If the Imperium of Man could reverse-engineer gigantification technology, wiping out their enemies across the galaxy—or even the wider cosmos—would be a cakewalk. Hell, they might even be able to plant the aquila standard in entirely new dimensions, making humanity the first-ever multiversal empire.

“First things first, we need to go track down Daigo. He’s carrying the Sparklence. That little gadget is what lets him turn into Light whenever he wants,” Vane said. “I’m gonna see if I can reverse-engineer the damn thing.”

—

Reverting back to his human form, Daigo felt like he had just woken up from a fever dream.

The exact second his patrol car exploded, he had transformed into a beam of light and fused with the crumbling statue, successfully reviving it. Then, he had physically piloted the giant’s body, brawling with kaiju, and—with the unexpected help of another monster—he had somehow managed to wipe out all four threats to humanity and clinch the victory.

What even is this thing? What the hell is going on?

Why was I able to turn into Light and wake up a stone statue?

Daigo stared at the Sparklence in his hands, his mind reeling with an endless barrage of questions.

“You looking for some answers?”

A voice suddenly spoke up out of nowhere, startling Daigo so badly he instinctively drew his sidearm, leveling the barrel straight at the source.

“Whoa, relax. We’re not your enemies,” Vane said casually. “I literally just bailed you out and smoked three kaiju for you.”

Daigo finally recognized the speaker. It was the same bizarre, mysterious guy who had pranked him earlier.

“Wait… were you that monster out there?!”

“What monster? That’s Godzilla, the King of the Monsters,” Vane corrected him. “How was it? Super badass and insanely cool, right? That’s what I love about Godzilla—pure, unadulterated strength crushing everything in its path. No need for flashy tricks.”

“He was definitely strong,” Daigo said, holstering his gun. “Who exactly are you? How can you turn into a kaiju?”

“You really want to know?” Vane teased, drawing the moment out.

“Mr. Traveler passing through this world, please, you have to tell me what the hell is going on,” Daigo pleaded, completely dropping his guard. He was desperate to uncover the truth behind all this madness.

“Hand over the Sparklence, and we’ll start with that.” Vane held out his hand.

Daigo hesitated for a second before surrendering the newly acquired transformation device. He wasn’t stupid; if this guy had bad intentions and wanted to take it by force, Daigo couldn’t have stopped him anyway. Anyone who could effortlessly fold three kaiju could easily fold him.

[Unlocked Crafting Recipe: Sparklence]

Hearing the system chime, Vane casually tossed the Sparklence back to Daigo and launched into the lore of the ancient civilization.
