Minecraft: The Conqueror of Multiverse
Chapter 112 Ullanor Prime (Bonus)
The Ork Greenskins were a biological weapon created by the Old Ones when the tide of the war turned against them. Having learned a harsh lesson from the disaster of the Four-Pointed Star, the Old Ones bypassed the Warp entirely. Instead, they built a psychic dimension completely independent of the Immaterium, yet capable of connecting every single individual in the species—this was the Orks’ unique WAAAGH! Field.
Inside that dimension, there were no negative emotions from other races; there was only the pure WAAAGH! of the Greenskins. To prevent the WAAAGH! field from being corrupted by emotions like despair and death the way the Warp had been, the Old Ones stripped away the vast majority of the Orks’ emotions, leaving behind only the simplest of drives, such as finding pure joy in war.
No wonder the Greenskins don’t feel sadness or despair. Those emotions were heavily suppressed and ripped right out of them, Vane thought as he continued flipping through the rest of the book.
In order to maintain control over the Greenskins, the Old Ones seeded the WAAAGH! field with the twin gods, Gork and Mork. Unfortunately, before the Ork project could even be fully completed, the Old Ones lost the war and were entirely annihilated.
To put an end to the ongoing catastrophe caused by the Greenskins, one would have to completely reshape the WAAAGH! field and fundamentally rewrite the Orks’ genetic base code.
“Looks like to finish the quest, we’ll need to beat Gork and Mork and then reboot the WAAAGH! field.”
“Just wiping out the Ork Greenskins is a bit boring. Wonder if we can turn them into a species whose whole deal is farming instead?”
“A bunch of happy Orks running around farming wherever they go—now that sounds hilarious.”
Vane kept flipping through the book, searching for a way to break into the WAAAGH! dimension. Normally, that dimension could only be accessed by the Orks themselves, but the Old Ones had left behind a backdoor for routine maintenance down the road. And that backdoor happened to be located on Ullanor Prime, formerly known as Armageddon.
“Turns out Armageddon is basically the birthplace of the Orks.”
“Looks like we need to take a trip over to Ullanor Prime.”
Vane snapped the book shut and tossed it back into the glowing bubble, where crystal chains instantly materialized to bind it tight.
“Esteemed Traveler, are you certain you don’t wish to look at any other volumes?”
“This place holds the knowledge of the entire universe, after all.” Cegorach looked genuinely surprised when Vane announced he was leaving. The guy really had just dropped by to look up a single reference.
“What’s so great about reading? When it comes to knowledge, having just enough to get the job done is fine.”
Vane didn’t really care about the esoteric secrets stored in the Black Library, nor did he give a damn about their cosmic value. The moment he secured admin privileges, he could just unlock the crafting table for the entire universe. That was way more entertaining than reading dusty old tomes.
Eldrad desperately wanted to stay behind to read, but Cegorach flat-out ordered him to follow Vane. Books could be read at any time, but if your meal ticket walked away, you were truly out of luck.
Cegorach opened the portal archway, sending everyone back to the warship. As for himself, he chose to stay put in the Black Library; the moment he stepped outside, he’d practically be ringing Slaanesh’s doorbell. He wouldn’t even consider leaving with his real body until Slaanesh got permanently deleted.
“Where are we heading next?” Eldrad asked.
“Ullanor Prime. We’re going to settle things with the Orks over there.”
Vane pulled up the stellar projection, pointing directly at his destination. All they had to do was beat up Gork and Mork and patch the Orks’ backend code, and the quest would be in the bag.
The fleet set sail, guided by the Harlequin Troupe as they made a bee-line for Ullanor Prime.
Ullanor Prime was a renowned Hive World within the Segmentum Solar, situated roughly ten thousand light-years from Holy Terra. Its history stretched all the way back to the War of the Beast, when a resurgent Ork horde attempted to turn it into a mobile military staging ground. Unfortunately for them, the Imperium intervened before the plan could come to fruition.
Following the defeat of the Greenskins, the Imperial Senate slapped an Exterminatus order on the planet, trying to wipe it from the star charts entirely. However, the Adeptus Mechanicus, greedy for the advanced xenos tech buried beneath the surface, bypassed the order. They moved the biomechanical remnants to an uncolonized system, rechristened it Ullanor Prime, and developed it into a dual Hive and Forge World.
Through the long centuries, Ullanor Prime weathered countless conflicts, remaining firmly under human control while growing into one of the most critical industrial foundry worlds in the eastern Imperium.
Entering the forty-first millennium, however, the planet seemed utterly jinxed. First, Angron dropped in following a Chaos cult’s summoning ritual, leading to the execution of the entire population on the primary continent. Shortly after, it was battered by relentless Ork invasions, transforming it into one of the galaxy’s most notorious meat grinders.
Utilizing the sheer convenience of the Webway, Vane’s vanguard fleet arrived in the Ullanor Prime system in next to no time.
By then, the entire star system was an absolute warzone. Imperial fleets, Ork Kroozers, and Chaos armadas were trading blows in the void. The blinding flashes of horrific void-shield detonations bloomed like dying stars, and with every passing second, warships were smashed into burning, drifting hulks. Countless casualties were vented directly into the vacuum, freezing into macabre, lifelike ice sculptures.
“Same as before. We’re teleporting straight down.”
Vane hammered out a portal with lightning-fast inputs, slapped the Hat of the Forgotten onto his head, and hauled the Emperor and Eldrad down to the surface of Ullanor Prime.
Their luck wasn’t entirely stellar; the moment they materialized, they dropped right into the middle of a sprawling, apocalyptic front line.
The ground was slashed by jagged trenches. Countless Imperial Guardsmen hunkered behind earthen barricades, unleashing a continuous hail of las-fire into a surging green tide of Orks. Jetpack-equipped Astartes and Battle Sisters cut through the skies in high-speed tactical arcs, clashing directly with towering Ork-built aviation. Colossal Imperial Titans stomped across the fractured earth, trading titanic blows with towering Ork Gargants that made the planet itself groan.
The missiles and energy beams exchanged by both sides carried apocalyptic force, slamming into the earth to trigger pillar-like detonations. Oceans of fire swept across the terrain, turning the theater into a literal hellscape.
Just in time to use my Godzilla form for some real practice. Otherwise, if I go strutting into the Ultraman universe later and just get my teeth kicked in, that’d be embarrassing.
Vane stared at the brawling Titans and Gargants, his eyes lit up with excitement.
“Are we just going to stand here and watch?” Eldrad asked, taking in the deafening artillery-blasted battlefield around them.
The Emperor turned to look at Vane, only to notice the man staring blankly into space, so he quickly shifted his attention elsewhere. Vane wasn’t actually spacing out; he was busy digging through his internal crafting menu for components to synthesize a Godzilla summoner.
In a matter of seconds, he had rounded up the materials and crafted a sleek Godzilla Summoning Device. By activating it, he could either channel the beast’s power to transform directly into Godzilla himself or drop a rampaging radioactive kaiju right onto the map.
“Everybody, eyes on me!”
Vane shouted out. Once he had the attention of the Emperor and Eldrad, he raised the Godzilla Summoner high into the air.
“I will transform into Godzilla and attack.”
