Milf Cashback System:Every beauty I spend on makes me richer
Chapter 241: Before Dawn
They dozed without meaning to.
When Liam woke, the room was still dark. Sarah was warm against his side, one leg thrown over his, her breathing slow and even.
The sheet was twisted around their hips. The smell of sex hung heavy in the air salt, sweat, the faint detergent that still clung to her hair. His arm was numb under her shoulder.
He did not move it. Then she shifted, winced faintly at the tenderness between her legs, and opened her eyes.
For a second she only looked at him. The careful woman from the kitchen was back behind her gaze not regret, not panic. Calculation. Time.
"I have to go," she said quietly.
"I know."
She sat up. The sheet fell to her waist. In the dim light her body looked thoroughly used flushed, marked faintly where his mouth and hands had been, a soft bruise forming above her collarbone, thighs sticky with everything they had done.
Cum had dried in faint lines on her skin. She did not hide it. She swung her legs over the side of the bed and stood carefully, testing her balance, and for a moment she simply stood there naked in the narrow room as if memorising the feel of the floor under her feet.
She found her clothes on the floor and dressed without hurry, as if leaving too fast would make the night mean less.
Liam watched her step into her underwear, the fabric catching slightly on damp skin, then smooth the skirt over her hips.
She buttoned the blouse over breasts still sensitive enough that her breath caught on the fabric; she paused on the last button, exhaled, and finished it.
She pushed her hair back with both hands and for a moment simply stood there, grounded in the small room that still held the shape of them the dent in the second pillow, the ruined sheet, the heat that had not fully left the air.
When she was done she sat on the edge of the bed.The mattress dipped. Her weight was familiar now.
She looked at the ruined sheet, then at him, naked in the half-dark, and something unreadable moved through her expression. Her hand rested on the sheet between them, close to his hip, not quite touching.
"Sophie can’t know. Not like this. Not yet."
"She won’t hear it from me."
Sarah nodded once. "This doesn’t fix the years. It doesn’t mean the days are open. It means I stopped lying to myself about what I wanted when I looked at you on that terrace."
She was quiet for a breath. "I told myself it was only practicality. Extra plates. A room for a man who used to sit in my kitchen when he had nothing.
I was lying. I’ve been lying since the night I walked you to the door and held your eyes too long."
"That’s enough for tonight."
"Is it enough for you?"
"For tonight," he said. "Ask me again when the sun’s up."
Something almost like a smile touched her mouth. She leaned down and kissed him
slower than the first time in the kitchen, deeper than goodbye, brief enough that it did not start everything over, long enough that he tasted her still, the faint salt of sweat and sex on her lower lip.
When she pulled back her eyes were clear, and the heat in them had not fully gone. Her hand rested on his chest for a second, palm flat over his heartbeat, then withdrew.
"Don’t come to the house at first light," she said. "Give me the morning. Come late, like Sophie asked. Act like this room didn’t happen until I decide otherwise."
"I will."
"If she asks where I was"
"She won’t. And if she does, that’s yours to answer. Not mine."
Sarah held his gaze a moment longer, then nodded. She stood, crossed to the door, and paused with her hand on the latch.
For a moment she looked back at him the dent in the second pillow, the damp sheet, the man who had followed a trail across a country and ended the night inside her and the careful walls she lived behind were not fully back in place.
The bruise above her collarbone would need a collar or a scarf. She did not touch it."My legs still don’t feel right," she said, quiet. Almost private.
"Good."
Then she opened the door, slipped into the lane, and was gone.Liam lay in the dark and listened until her soft steps faded toward the blue house.
He pictured the gate, the terrace, the latch she would ease shut so Sophie would not wake.
The careful way she would wash, change, lie down in her own bed as if the night had been nothing but sleep.
The room held the evidence of what the night had actually been: the second pillow’s hollow, the ruined sheet, the faint mark of her perfume under the salt and sweat, the cooling shape of her body still printed on the mattress beside him.
Outside, the first thin change in the sky had not yet started.
The lane was still black. Inside, the three Chapters of the night had ended the only way they could with her walking back to the life that still had a locked door and a daughter who must not wake to find her mother gone, legs unsteady, the taste of him still in her mouth, the night locked behind her teeth until she decided what, if anything, came next.
He did not sleep again at once.
He only sat up, put his feet on the cool floor, and waited for the morning she had asked him to give her.
The few days were no longer simple. Sarah’s taste was still on his mouth. Her body was still printed on his hand the weight of her breasts, the clutch of her thighs, the way she had said his name when she came.
Somewhere behind the low wall of the blue house, a woman who had stopped lying to herself was climbing into her own bed before dawn, skirt smoothed, blouse buttoned, the mark on her collarbone hidden, the truth of the narrow room sealed away until daylight forced her to choose whether it had been a single night or the start of something she was not yet ready to name.
Liam washed his face in the dark, drank water from the tap, and sat by the window until the sky began to turn. He would go late. He would act as she had asked.
And when he knocked on the blue house door in the late morning, nothing on his face would say what the night had held only the quiet fact that he was still here, and that the days she had given him were no longer only about guilt, or Sophie’s leg, or a trail that had ended in a lane by the sea.
