Liam woke before Cole did.

Pale light cut across the bedroom. The sheets were a wreck. The air still carried the thick, unmistakable scent of the night before.

Cole slept deeply against his chest, one arm hooked over his waist, her breathing slow and even.

Faint marks showed on her hip and the side of one breast where his hands had held her.

When she shifted in her sleep, a small crease formed between her brows and then smoothed away, as if her body was still remembering even while her mind rested.

He eased out from under her carefully. She made a quiet sound of protest but didn’t wake.

Liam sat on the edge of the bed for a moment, testing the residual ache in his ribs, then stood and pulled on a pair of pants.

The cut above his eyebrow had closed cleanly.

The deeper bruises along his side had faded into something dull and manageable. He left the room without looking back.

Downstairs, the villa was already awake.

Renee was in the kitchen, same as always. She glanced up when he entered, took in the faint scratches near his collarbone, and returned to the coffee without comment.

She slid a second mug across the counter toward him. Their fingers brushed. No jealousy. Only quiet recognition. She had been first. She didn’t need to remind anyone of it.

Jessica came in a few minutes later. She paused when she saw the extra mug, then continued to the cabinet for her own.

Something in her shoulders loosened as she leaned against the counter beside Renee.

The three of them stood in comfortable silence, the only sounds the soft clink of ceramic and the distant hum of the villa’s systems.

Vanessa appeared next. She moved carefully, residual stiffness still present in the way she stepped.

When her gaze flicked toward the hallway that led upstairs, a faint flush rose along her neck. She looked away quickly, poured her coffee, and took a position near the window.

Her silence said more than speech would have. Veronica passed through the far end of the hall a minute later.

She slowed when she saw him, eyes dropping for half a second before she corrected it.

The controlled version of her was back, but it no longer looked absolute. She continued down the corridor without stopping.

None of them asked questions.

None of them needed to.

Cole remained upstairs, marked and claimed. The last open piece on the board had closed during the night.

The house had absorbed it the same way it absorbed everything else quietly, without fracture, without the need for announcements.

Liam took his coffee into the study and closed the door.

He set the mug down, stood in the quiet for a moment, then opened the System interface with a thought.

The familiar overlay settled across his vision, clean and precise.

He scrolled past the standard status readouts until he reached the function that had been waiting at the edge of his awareness for weeks.

[SYSTEM NOTICE]

Multi Claim Status Update

Current Bound Targets: 5

Recommended Threshold: 3+

Synchronization Window: AVAILABLE

Compatibility Rating: Stable

Risk Level: Manageable

Proceed?

Five.

Renee.

Jessica.

Vanessa.

Veronica.

Cole.

The structure was complete. No missing pieces. No unresolved resistance left inside the villa.

The women were no longer isolated from each other. They had adjusted, shared the same silences, occupied the same space without tearing it apart.

That alignment was more valuable than the System’s numerical thresholds. Multi Claim required more than individual surrender.

It required a structure stable enough to hold several claims at once without fracturing under the weight.

That structure now existed.Liam closed the interface and looked out the window.

The courtyard was quiet. Jack was already outside, working through slow drills with a staff, sweat starting to sheen across his shoulders in the morning light.

The staff cut through the air in clean, controlled arcs.

The perimeter was clean. The external world had gone still enough to ignore for the moment no new messages, no fresh pressure, no black sedans at the gate.

The quiet felt deliberate rather than empty.

The window was open.

He pulled up the villa’s internal schedule on the side monitor. Rotations. Off-duty windows. Overnight coverage.

He studied the next three days with the same precision he applied to everything else.

There was a clean stretch two nights from now where Renee, Jessica, Vanessa, Veronica, and Cole would all be off rotation at the same time.

Jack would be in the far training yard, as usual. The rest of the security detail could cover the perimeter without them.

Clean.

Contained.He could work with that.

A soft knock came at the door.

"Come in."

Renee stepped inside, closing the door behind her. She didn’t sit. She simply stood near the desk, arms loosely folded, expression calm.

She had always been able to read the temperature of a room without needing it explained.

"You’re planning it," she said. It wasn’t a question.Liam looked at her. "Yes."

"All of them?"

"Yes."

Renee nodded once, as if she had already expected the answer. "Cole is still adjusting. The others are steady.

Vanessa will follow without resistance. Jessica has stopped fighting the shape of this place.

Veronica crossed the line cleanly." She paused. "If you’re going to do it, do it cleanly. Don’t leave gaps for hesitation."

"I won’t."

Something almost like approval moved through her expression. She turned to leave, then paused at the door.

"Two nights," she said. Not a guess. A confirmation.

"Yes."

Renee left. The door closed softly behind her.

Liam stood alone in the study again, the quiet settling back around him.

Outside, Jack’s staff cut through another clean sequence, the soft whoosh of wood through air steady and unhurried. Ahead, the villa waited stable, complete, and ready.

He opened the System interface one more time and looked at the Multi Claim readout.
