Chapter 3191: Chapter 1075:

So, since at that time the World Consciousness was unlikely to retreat on its own, Zhou Tian naturally needed to employ his own method to make the other depart. Given the situation at that time, the simplest method was for Zhou Tian to simply prove he had no problems, as he was utilizing the World Rules. As long as Zhou Tian could carry out that task and make the World Consciousness believe it was a misunderstanding and that Zhou Tian was actually its indigenous being, then it was likely the World Consciousness would stop focusing on him.

Resulting from that idea, Zhou Tian promptly chose seclusion right after the battle.

Now, without outsiders disturbing him, Zhou Tian promptly began at that time to dissipate the attention of the World Consciousness. Zhou Tian believed that as long as he had the tactics to make the World Consciousness think he was not an outsider living being, then despite its lack of time consciousness, it would probably not waste more time on him.

Trying to achieve that goal at the time was certainly somewhat difficult, but when speaking of its ease, it was certainly not considered a particularly challenging task.

The main reason why the World Consciousness focused on Zhou Tian was simply that he had utilized the Abyssal Rules beforehand, resulting in sensing Hellfire as a power it did not possess, leading the World Consciousness to focus on Zhou Tian at that time.

Thus, given the situation at the time, Zhou Tian’s tasks were not many; he simply needed to find a method to make the World Consciousness think that Hellfire truly was an ability manifested from its rules, then there would be no reason for it to focus on Zhou Tian anymore.

Honestly speaking, Zhou Tian’s idea at that time had the possibility of success only against the World Consciousness. If he were to use it against certain living beings, there would be no need to test it to know that such an approach would absolutely not yield good results.

After all, the internal rules themselves contained certain abilities, which the World Consciousness could not possibly be unaware of. Thus, without such abilities, claiming any ability belonged to it was clearly unconvincing under the given circumstances, and the World Consciousness would certainly not believe it.

Fortunately, due to the World Consciousness lacking thinking capability, Zhou Tian’s idea, while seemingly nonsensical, still had a chance of success. As long as he found a method to cloak Hellfire in the ’garment’ of that world’s rules, then after Zhou Tian used Hellfire’s ability before it once more, even if he employed the Abyssal Rules capability, as long as the World Consciousness could not discern it, it would likely withdraw.

According to Zhou Tian’s thoughts, he had no other choice at the time; he could only let the Abyssal Rules he brought over and the current World Rules he contacted integrate. Even if the integration was imperfect, or not an annexation, it was unimportant, as long as Zhou Tian fused the two rules together. This would naturally make Hellfire’s aura blend with current World Rules, which would likely make it difficult for the World Consciousness to detect issues, no matter how attentive it was.

Just as Zhou Tian imagined, as long as the World Consciousness no longer deemed the rules Zhou Tian used as Otherworldly Rules, it would naturally withdraw. Therefore, once the World Consciousness withdrew, Zhou Tian’s actions would face fewer restrictions, making it relatively easier to pursue other goals.

Given the situation at the time, Zhou Tian quickly took action.

There was nothing worth noting; the lack of fusion between the two rules had always been a result of Zhou Tian intentionally controlling their pace, initially intending to allow them to merge slowly on their own so as not to alert the World Consciousness. But since the World Consciousness’s attention was already attracted, rather than continue concealing, Zhou Tian might as well forcibly merge the two rules. Although such action would undeniably attract the World Consciousness’s attention, as long as it did not act immediately, with the genuine integration of the two rules, it would have no reason to target him.

Zhou Tian’s decision was correct in some respects because once he made that decision and succeeded in gathering the two rules together, the rules, originally belonging to disparate worlds, indeed showed signs of fusion at that time. With Zhou Tian’s coercion, a short period was all it took for the two rules to likely merge into a single entity.

Though Zhou Tian’s plan proceeded smoothly, and barring accidents, once the two rules merged, everything would conclude. But just as Zhou Tian was undertaking that task, the World Consciousness nonetheless demonstrated its presence and startled Zhou Tian.

Zhou Tian probably had anticipated this, regardless of the idea he had at the time; once he merged the two rules, the World Consciousness’s attention was naturally drawn to his actions. Although the Abyssal Rules’ aura could not be undetected by it, even intertwined with the Hometown Rules, it sufficiently prompted the World Consciousness to take action then.

As a result, as soon as Zhou Tian acted, the World Consciousness, consistently watching him, simultaneously initiated a corresponding action.

In the sky, a vertical eye gathered directly, and when the eye formed, almost all the rule powers of that world converged within it, and the power contained was so overwhelming that Zhou Tian broke out in a cold sweat after sensing it briefly. If the attack within that eye struck him, even if Zhou Tian displayed his true strength and resisted, he would likely be severely injured if not killed.

One could say that if the situation did not occur directly before him, honestly, Zhou Tian would not have realized that the World Consciousness possessed such tactics. Due to this realization, discovering that the World Consciousness revealed abilities capable of threatening his safety, Zhou Tian was indeed startled at that moment.

Ideally speaking, when Zhou Tian first invaded that world, the World Consciousness should have used such tactics against him. However, perhaps due to the Abyssal Consciousness, no such interception occurred when Zhou Tian first arrived. Because of this, Zhou Tian escaped a fiasco previously and thus was not psychologically prepared for the World Consciousness’s tactics.

Consequently, under such circumstances, Zhou Tian had not expected the World Consciousness could wield such a method of attack. Thus, while initially considering the World Consciousness incapable of threatening his life safety, it suddenly exposed such powerful tactics, and under the threat of those tactics, Zhou Tian naturally felt insecure.

Nonetheless, while Zhou Tian indeed felt less secure under the World Consciousness’s threat, he could not halt his ’actions’ given the progression to that point. Before the World Consciousness’s attack truly fell, Zhou Tian still had the opportunity to interrupt everything. If Zhou Tian did not expedite his actions but awaited the World Consciousness’s attack, he might be forced away even if he survived.

Therefore, as the World Consciousness’s development created a significant threat to Zhou Tian, his already swift actions accelerated further. And precisely because Zhou Tian continually quickened his actions, the two rules finally fused in his forcible orchestration. (To be continued.
