Chapter 3173: Chapter 1066: Pursuing the Material for the Heavenly Eye (Part 2)
In the past, lacking the necessary conditions, Zhou Tian could only rely on his own Diligence to research how to open the Heavenly Eye. But now that he had taken down a Heavenly Eye Beast and was standing right beside its corpse, Zhou Tian naturally didn’t mind studying his Opponent’s Body, to see whether the "Heavenly Eye" on its forehead could help him "open the eye" sooner.
Thus, relying on his own spiritual power, Zhou Tian quietly began to examine that Heavenly Eye Beast’s Heavenly Eye.
And unless that Heavenly Eye truly had no Value whatsoever, even if he couldn’t completely probe out all of the Information contained within it, Zhou Tian felt that learning some of the Heavenly Eye Beast’s Heavenly Eye’s peculiarities shouldn’t pose any Problem for him.
In the end, given the situation at the time, after Zhou Tian’s spiritual power delved into that Heavenly Eye and studied it for a while, he very quickly made a few discoveries.
What Zhou Tian found was that the Heavenly Eye was formed from a kind of Special Material. Although it appeared almost identical to a human eye, in reality there was an essential difference. Not only was the Material composing that Heavenly Eye extremely tough, under normal Strength it was basically impossible to destroy. The properties of that Material gave Zhou Tian quite a shock at the time.
"So the Bridge is here, huh!"
Back when Zhou Tian first began researching the Strength of the Heavenly Eye, he had already formed a certain doubt.
Given his cultivation, for Zhou Tian to establish some Contact with the World Rules of that world at the time should not have been difficult. After all, Zhou Tian cultivated precisely the rule power; even though the rules were the World Rules of a different world, using the Strength of rules to connect with the rules of an Otherworld was not particularly hard.
But the main reason Zhou Tian possessed such an Ability was that he himself cultivated the rule power. If it were not for the fact that Zhou Tian had cultivated rules from the beginning—so that by means of the Time Rule he could easily connect with the rule power of an Otherworld—then even with Zhou Tian’s Ability, establishing Contact with that world’s World Rules would have been very difficult.
In worlds whose Power System of rule power took the Divine Realm as their core, when a living beings wants to touch the Strength of rules, it usually begins cultivation from Strength that already has some Contact with rules. Only after laying a solid Basic foundation through those Strengths does one gradually come into Contact with rule power; and only when one’s rule Cultivation Level reaches a certain Standard can one become a rule Cultivator.
Even in those worlds, without a certain cultivation Basic, it is impossible to directly possess the Strength to wield rules. Thus, in the world where Zhou Tian was at the time, although he used the Strength of the Heavenly Eye to wield the World Rules in Combat, the way this Strength manifested was not only strange, but in some respects also violated common sense.
Under normal circumstances, even with something like the Heavenly Eye in existence, it shouldn’t be possible for a living beings to suddenly gain the Ability to exercise rule power out of nowhere. At the beginning, Zhou Tian didn’t even know how to open the eye. Although he had doubts about those unreasonable aspects, he didn’t delve too deeply.
But now, after Zhou Tian had Success-fully taken down that Heavenly Eye Beast, and obtained some useful Information from the Heavenly Eye of that Heavenly Eye Beast, he now understood what the Power System of that world had truly been like.
The Heavenly Eye was composed of constituents that included something capable of forming Contact with the World Rules, and it was precisely by using that component’s Contact with the World Rules that Heavenly Eye Beasts and Heavenly Eye Users were able to possess powerful Strength.
Without a doubt, that discovery was extremely useful to Zhou Tian at the time. If Zhou Tian could make good use of that discovery, he would naturally be able to "open the eye" more effectively. Once he met similar conditions, given Zhou Tian’s circumstances, becoming a Heavenly Eye User should not have been difficult from any perspective.
Except...
Although Zhou Tian had obtained a great deal of useful Information from that Heavenly Eye, and he believed that as long as he made good use of this new Information, then when the time came opening the Heavenly Eye would no longer present any Problem...
In reality, though Zhou Tian already understood the significance and Value of the Heavenly Eye, and could, based on his discoveries, easily open his own Heavenly Eye, the actual situation was that even though he knew everything about the Heavenly Eye, he still lacked the single most crucial thing needed to possess a Heavenly Eye.
No matter what, Zhou Tian was, in fact, not a person of that world. This could not be seen from the outside, but the essential difference did not disappear for that reason. Thus, given the situation at the time, due to that very discovery, although Zhou Tian had indeed come to understand the effect of the Heavenly Eye and knew precisely what he needed to do to open it, the Problem now was that, because he was not a living beings native to that world, the Special Material that almost every living beings in that world possessed—the Material capable of forming a Heavenly Eye—did not exist within Zhou Tian.
Therefore, for other living beings, as long as they knew the Information Zhou Tian had obtained and undertook targeted cultivation, they could open their Heavenly Eyes. But Zhou Tian lacked the most fundamental Basic Element. So no matter how he cultivated, it seemed that his desire to open a Heavenly Eye was destined to remain impossible.
Regarding all of this, Zhou Tian felt helpless. After all, no matter how he changed his identity, he could not truly turn himself into a native of that world. Thus, the fact that he differed from the living beings of that world in certain respects did not strike Zhou Tian as any kind of Accident.
But the Problem now was that because Zhou Tian was not a living beings of that world, it was destined that his body would not contain that Material which could form a Heavenly Eye. Under such circumstances, no matter how much Diligence Zhou Tian put in, even if he could directly establish Contact with that world’s World Rules, becoming a Heavenly Eye User would still be extremely difficult.
And without question, if he could not become a Heavenly Eye User, then Zhou Tian’s plan would no longer be able to continue.
After all, if Zhou Tian could not become a Heavenly Eye User, that would mean he could not normally wield rule power in that world. Without the methods and identity needed to wield rule power, then even if Zhou Tian later strengthened his Physical Strength in that world, it would be meaningless to his plan.
Thus, given the situation at the time, when Zhou Tian realized how serious the Problem of becoming a Heavenly Eye User truly was, he inevitably felt a certain unease.
"I wonder if I can make use of the Material of this Heavenly Eye."
Although at that moment Zhou Tian could not bring his full Strength to bear due to the Environment, his true Strength still existed. If Zhou Tian truly made up his mind to do something, then in theory, as long as his Actions were swift enough, there was a fair chance he could slip past the Line of Sight of the World Consciousness.
And given the circumstances then, if Zhou Tian did not make some effort, then with no Heavenly Eye Material forming within his Body, no matter how hard he tried he would never be able to become a Heavenly Eye User. In that situation at the time, for the sake of his plan’s smooth progression, even if Zhou Tian had to employ his true Strength to resolve this Problem, that would not have been anything strange.
Thus, given the situation then, with no Special Material inside his Body, yet still wanting to become a Heavenly Eye User, Zhou Tian inevitably shifted his Line of Sight toward the Heavenly Eye Beast.
