Chapter 5167: Identity
Chapter 5167: Identity
Yue’er gazed into his deep, dark eyes as she listened to her master’s words. She sensed that if she answered poorly, it might hurt him.
After a moment’s thought, she replied, “I miss Father and Mother, but I also want to train with you, Master.”
The Azure Emperor gazed at the young face before him, pausing briefly before replying, “Then wait until they finish their duties and come to fetch you. When that time comes, you may return with them. Should you ever wish to come back to your master, the gates of Yunxiao Mountain shall always remain open for you.”
Hao’er and Muchen exchanged a glance, rose to their feet, and bowed with clasped hands. “Thank you, Master.”
As soon as the words left their lips, Hao’er spoke up: “Master, this disciple wishes to remain by your side in cultivation—not as your child, but as Yun Chen.”
“Master, I feel the same,”
Muchen added. Hearing of their Father’s ascension today filled him with genuine joy. Yet he also knew that both his Father and Mother were formidable, truly powerful beings. As their child, he too desired to become strong—to make his strength known to all, rather than be remembered merely as the son of Hell’s Lord and the Phoenix Empress.
Upon hearing their words, Yue’er immediately added, “Master, I wish the same as my brothers.”
The Azure Emperor, hearing their words, glanced at the three of them and said, “I understand your thoughts. When you first became my disciples, I discussed this with your Mother. Here, no one will ever know you are Feng Jiu’s children. Here, you are only my disciples, the Azure Emperor’s disciples. Now, your appearances are different from your original forms. Even if you appear before others in the future, no one will question your identities.”
Yue’er touched her own face and smiled brightly. “Come to think of it, I’ve almost forgotten what I originally looked like. But if I’m this beautiful now, my true appearance must have been even more stunning.”
Hearing this, the Azure Emperor glanced at her, a hint of amusement flickering in his eyes. “One more thing—recently, your Mother single-handedly slew three great emperors. Her fame now reverberates throughout the Upper Immortal Realm. With this feat preceding your father’s ascension, few will dare oppose them henceforth.”
“Hehe, I knew Mother was amazing, and Father is amazing too!” Yue’er said with a beaming smile. “In the future, I’ll be just as amazing as them, right, Master?”
“That’s assuming you cultivate diligently,” the Azure Emperor replied, glancing at her.
“Master, rest assured. I’ll cultivate diligently and obey your every word,” she promised with a bright smile.
Hao’er, standing nearby, pondered for a moment before speaking up, “Master, if Father has only recently ascended, wouldn’t it be a bit awkward for us to return now?”
“Are you planning to go back on your own?” The Azure Emperor inquired.
Hao’er and Muchen exchanged glances. “Would it be possible for you to take us there, Master? As your disciples, our presence shouldn’t arouse suspicion or attention. Furthermore, since our Father has ascended to become an Emperor, other Emperors will surely attend the ceremony. Therefore…”
From what the Master had said, to their Mother’s recent actions, and their Father’s ascension—he felt even reclusive Great Emperors would surely be stirred. If their Master went, it would simply seem natural.
