"Alright, let’s not talk about him anymore. I received word from my foster father that Feng Ye and Zhao Yang are coming. It’s been years since they last saw you, and they’d like to meet you," Guan Xilin said.

"Oh? Both of them?" Feng Jiu paused slightly, then smiled. "Come to think of it, it has indeed been many years since I last saw either of them."

Feng Ye, her Little Uncle—after all this time, he’d likely blossomed into a dashing young man.

"How exciting! After so many years, I wonder what Feng Ye looks like now?" She smiled softly, glancing at Guan Xilin and asking, "I suppose they’re no longer with their master?"

"No, these past two years they’ve been traveling far and wide. "Because of you, few dare take them as disciples. Plus, both possess extraordinary talent. In a few more years, they’ll likely catch up to us."

"Oh? Is that so?" She murmured softly, lost in thought as her fingers tapped lightly on the tabletop. "If Grandfather and the others are willing, I could arrange for them to travel to the Upper Immortal Realm."

"Master, Luo Fei and the others have arrived," Leng Hua reported upon entering. His voice paused before continuing, "Black Tortoise Monarch refuses to leave. He’s been waiting outside, saying he wishes to see Master."

"Ignore him. If he wants to wait, let him wait!" Feng Jiu replied, then asked, "What about Luo Fei and the others?"

"Du Fan and Bai Xiao are receiving them in the front hall. They feared coming here might disturb Hell’s Lord’s recuperation," Leng Hua replied.

Feng Jiu nodded. "Alright, I’ll go see them. Gray Wolf and Shadow One can guard the room here."

With that, she headed toward the front courtyard with them.

In the front hall, Luo Fei and the others waited with palpable excitement. "How many years has it been since we last saw her? I never imagined she’d return after ascending. When I first heard the news, I thought it must be a hoax!"

Ning Lang chuckled, "Exactly. I sent messages back and forth multiple times to confirm she was truly returning."

Duan Ye sat composed, clad in elegant black robes, radiating an air of maturity. Yet even he felt a subtle tension and excitement, sipping tea frequently. In just a short while, the maid had already refilled his cup twice.

To them, Feng Jiu was both mentor and friend, a pivotal guide on their life’s journey. Back when they were mere greenhorns, they’d been fortunate to cross paths with her. It was through her guidance and teachings that they’d become who they were today.

"I never imagined I’d see her again," Duan Ye murmured, his gaze drifting toward the hall entrance. "After all these years, I wonder if she remains unchanged?"

Song Ming laughed lightly. "No matter how many years pass, Feng Jiu remains Feng Jiu. I imagine her brilliance only surpasses what it once was."

Du Fan observed the group with a smile. "Leng Hua has already gone to the rear courtyard to fetch our Master. You’ll see for yourselves whether she’s unchanged when you meet her."

"Du Fan, have many visitors come recently? When we first arrived, we saw the Black Tortoise Monarch waiting outside. Why was he turned away?" Song Ming asked, slightly surprised.

"The master doesn’t care for him, so naturally she doesn’t wish to see him," Du Fan replied with a smile, fanning himself with his handheld fan. His gaze shifted to the entrance. "The master is here." With that, he rose to greet her.
