Master Craftsman of the Pokémon World
Chapter 675 - 672
The Guardian of Aura...
This was one of Lucario's defining stories, the tale that had elevated it to legendary status. Before Lucario formally debuted in Generation IV, many people had even believed it was a Legendary Pokémon connected to Aura.
Yet the true Guardian had not yet encountered the Pokémon destined to stand beside him.
Still, for this version of Ash from I Choose You!, participating in a movie-level battle like this would be easy. Even if the difficulty had been raised, it would still be nothing to someone who had fought Ho-Oh and effectively conquered both Kanto and Johto.
The crowd roared, lightning blazed, and something occurred that left Janine, Ash's opponent, completely stunned!
"How can electricity be that powerful?!"
Could Pikachu truly produce an Electric-type attack on that scale?
Violent lightning twisted through the air in spiraling arcs, placing Janine under tremendous pressure.
The tournament used a bring-six, choose-three format. Each competitor registered a team of six Pokémon but could only select three to participate in a battle.
During the elimination rounds, however, the Trainer and their entire team would be eliminated as soon as a single Pokémon lost the ability to battle.
Rota's Battle Festival followed the same rule.
The format was designed to test a Trainer's ability to switch Pokémon at critical moments. They had to judge the precise moment to make a substitution, preventing their Pokémon from suffering enough damage to lose consciousness. Only someone capable of doing that could be considered a truly skilled Trainer and martial artist.
It also increased the speed and intensity of each match. If all three Pokémon were allowed to battle until they fell, every round would become a prolonged war of attrition.
Full three-on-three battles using the six-three format would be reserved for the semifinals.
The competitors in the early rounds had not yet earned the right to engage in a complete battle.
Even so, the participants were overwhelmingly strong. This was a joint tournament organized by three regions and one kingdom, incorporating several major events that had already existed independently.
Consequently, even a martial arts master could suffer a lightning-fast defeat in the first round!
"That boy in the cape with the Pikachu is..."
Koga's expression shifted.
Although the timeline of this Ash's journey differed from the television continuity, Koga had already become an Elite Four member within three years. However, he still occasionally returned to Fuchsia Gym and had once substituted for Janine during Ash's Gym challenge.
Gym Leaders changed the Pokémon they used according to a challenger's skill and number of Badges.
Therefore, even if an Elite Four member temporarily presided over a Gym, challengers still had a chance to win.
Besides, the number of Badges distributed was one of the Indigo League's performance quotas. Otherwise, if people like Giovanni and Blue defended their Gyms with everything they had, how was any challenger supposed to earn a Badge?
Koga considered the situation.
Because he had battled the boy himself, his daughter, the official Gym Leader, had never faced Ash.
After participating in the Aura training camp, could Janine defeat him now?
"No. Why am I thinking of Janine as the challenger?"
"More importantly, that boy... After the training camp sharpened my senses, I can faintly tell that he also possesses powerful Aura. In battle, that would manifest as extraordinarily keen combat instincts."
"However, his method of battling still contains considerable flaws."
Dust churned across the battlefield as fierce winds howled!
"Ariados, return!" Janine commanded.
"My next Pokémon is Drapion!"
Neither Ariados nor Crobat, two Pokémon she commonly used, had managed to inflict meaningful damage on Pikachu.
Pikachu was not merely fast. It evaded attacks like a ninja, darting unpredictably around the battlefield.
Janine therefore decided to send out her ace and end the battle quickly!
"I'll show you the results of my Aura training!"
Janine closed her eyes.
Her concentration steadily deepened, allowing every sound around her to enter her ears with perfect clarity.
Drapion also closed its eyes and pointed its massive claws forward!
Then it released a terrifying aura filled with malice from within its body!
Waves...
Use the aura to see through the enemy and locate its true position!
"Dark Pulse!"
Pitch-black light gathered between Drapion's claws!
As Janine expected, Ash immediately issued his familiar command.
"Dodge it!"
There was nothing inherently wrong with that command in a real-time battle. It represented a Pokémon responding to its Trainer's call and evading an attack.
Only a Trainer and Pokémon who trusted each other completely could avoid a move at the very last instant.
However...
The beam of black light curved through the air and struck Pikachu from an impossible angle, producing a violent explosion of dark energy!
"That pulse... It's subtly different from the Dark Pulses used by powerful Trainers on rare occasions. I don't mean its strength. Something else about it is different..."
Verity was sitting in the audience beside May and Brock. Her expression changed the instant Janine's Dark Pulse suddenly curved.
"It almost looks like... Aura Sphere."
The third member of Ash's original group of companions in this continuity was Sorrel. He also owned a Lucario, although his dream was not to become a Trainer. He intended to become a Pokémon Professor.
A Pokémon Professor who shared a bond with a canine Pokémon...
There had been someone similar 150 years ago. According to legend, one of Sinnoh's earliest Pokémon doctors had worn a mask resembling a mysterious Pokémon known as the Baneful Fox.
It was an old fairy tale passed down in southern Sinnoh, one Verity had heard before.
Drapion's Dark Pulse now clearly possessed the properties of Aura Sphere.
No matter how Pikachu attempted to evade it, escape would be impossible!
May frowned. "Did she create an effect similar to Lock-On?"
"Water Pulse, Dark Pulse, and Aura Sphere all have similar properties," Brock said. "Even when I was a Gym Leader, I didn't understand what kind of move Aura Sphere was. Water Pulse uses vibrations in water and the surrounding energy. The TM itself was developed by people in Hoenn..."
"Right," May said. "But during research, we discovered that relatively few Pokémon native to Hoenn can learn Water Pulse naturally."
"According to my father's research, along with his upcoming theory concerning regional environments, Pokémon living in Sinnoh seem more proficient at using different varieties of pulses."
"There's also a theory that Dark Pulse spread from Sinnoh to other regions, although that might refer specifically to the TM."
"Verity, you seem to know quite a bit about pulses. Is it because of Sorrel, the boy you used to travel with?"
Verity looked thoughtful.
"Um... he isn't the only reason. I have an incredibly powerful relative who's a famous Trainer in Sinnoh. She's even stronger than my mother, and she owns a Lucario, so I've seen Aura before..."
That person was Cynthia, the Sinnoh Champion.
She had the same face as Verity's mother, with only their hair colors differing.
Her mother had merely said that she and the Champion were relatives...
"Come to think of it, Sorrel is from Sinnoh too," Verity continued. "If Sinnoh's Pokémon are especially skilled at pulse moves, then Ash is in danger. If every pulse becomes impossible to dodge, Dark Pulse's secondary effect is..."
Flinching!
"Pika...!"
Pikachu had suffered damage from Dark Pulse, but it had not fallen.
A complicated look appeared on Janine's face.
Drapion's Special Attack was not particularly high, so its special moves could not ordinarily inflict tremendous damage.
However, Dark Pulse received a same-type attack bonus. Drapion was not a Bug type, after all. It was a dual Poison and Dark type!
"That Dark Pulse had an effective power of 120. Even if Drapion doesn't specialize in special attacks, a move that powerful should theoretically be enough to overwhelm a small, physically fragile Pokémon like Pikachu..."
"Is the difference caused by their levels of growth? Or is Pikachu one of the special individuals Lord Hikaru mentioned?"
"Many factors influence a Pokémon's physical strength and overall power. Its natural individual traits, the effort it invests afterward, environmental variations, and the growth levels discussed by researchers..."
Could Drapion, which she trained day and night, truly be less developed than the Pokémon of some random unaffiliated Trainer?
This was not a Gym battle in which she deliberately held back.
This was...
"Use Dark Pulse again!"
To minimize the risk, Janine did not order Drapion to engage Pikachu in close combat. Pikachu was simply too agile.
It would be better to attack from a distance. With Dark Pulse now guaranteed to hit, she could gradually wear Pikachu down!
All she needed was to keep making it flinch.
That was why Drapion was holding a Razor Fang!
When a Pokémon holding a Razor Fang used certain damaging moves, it had a ten-percent chance of making its target flinch. If the Pokémon used Fling, the target would flinch without fail!
This was how a ninja fought!
Yet Ash, dressed in the clothing of an ancient hero, suddenly seemed to change.
His eyes pierced through the clouds of dust and found Drapion's true body!
"The Aura is with me," Ash said.
"What?!" Janine exclaimed. "Aura!"
After the incident he had experienced in Hoenn, this Ash had awakened his Aura far earlier than expected. He had even heard the Voice of the Stars and once used a borrowed Key Stone together with the Eon Flute to Mega Evolve Latias!
Then something happened that left Janine completely astonished.
She had only begun to perceive pulses after undergoing special training, and she had trained Dark Pulse until it could no longer miss.
Yet against someone who had never formally trained, she was actually losing the contest of Aura!
"Could he be sharing his life with Pikachu through Aura, just like someone performing Mega Evolution?!"
Everything in existence possessed its own distinct Aura, but only a tiny number of people were born capable of controlling that power!
The person before her was not some random Trainer.
He was...!
Pikachu burst through the scattered dust in a single charge. The costume wrapped around its body was torn apart by the lightning surrounding it!
It had overcome the flinch?!
"Is that an effect similar to the Covert Cloak Mr. Hikaru made?" Janine wondered. "Or did he transmit his emotions through Aura and manually break Pikachu free from the flinch?"
Inside the competitors' waiting room, Hikaru watched the match.
"Janine may be about to lose."
"Why?" Korrina asked. "She successfully made Pikachu flinch, and Dark Pulse demonstrated the unerring effect we practiced. Those are the results of her training. If her next attack lands a critical hit..."
"That's right," Maylene added. "And that Drapion's Ability is... It's...?"
She could not remember it.
Candice sighed. "It's Sniper. When an attack lands a critical hit, the damage is increased to one and a half times the normal critical-hit damage!"
Maylene looked embarrassed.
"As expected of Candice. Reading a lot really does make your mind sharper. You can remember so many things accurately..."
"That lightning doesn't look normal," Silver said, keeping both hands in his pockets.
He narrowed his eyes.
"Pikachu has wrapped itself in lightning, and it's charging with everything it has. That move is...?!"
Back on the battlefield...
"Volt Tackle!"
Pikachu cloaked its body in lightning and unleashed the ultimate Electric-type move!
Explosive electrical power tore through the aura of Dark Pulse.
Pikachu crashed into Drapion with unstoppable momentum, driving the giant scorpion backward as the ground rumbled!
Janine sharply raised her hand, preparing to issue her next command.
It was fine.
Drapion possessed excellent Defense. Even if Volt Tackle was a physical Electric-type move that received a same-type attack bonus, it had no type advantage against Drapion.
The battle was not over!
She only needed the next attack to land a critical hit.
That meant her next move would be...
"Night Slash!"
At that instant, because Janine had also trained to perceive Aura, she suddenly sensed Ash's emotions.
Legends claimed that Aura Guardians could communicate through Aura, transcending life, death, and even time to perceive one another's thoughts and feelings.
At this moment, the minds of two Aura users crossed!
Ash's thoughts reached her.
The Aura is with me!
"Pikachu, use Zippy Zap!"
Blazing electricity collided with the dark blade.
The lightning twisted at an impossible angle, avoiding the Dark-type slash and striking Drapion directly!
Hikaru blinked.
"Ah... As thanks for helping during the incident in Hoenn, I taught him four partner moves and told him about Volt Tackle. I didn't expect him to use them so soon."
"Janine is still only a beginner in her Aura training. Ninjas and Aura users are different professions, after all. Merely sensing the waves is only the foundation."
Besides, even though this Ash was still on his first journey, he was far stronger than Ash had been during the original series.
The fact that he could make Charizard obey rather than allowing it to become an ungrateful brat already represented an overwhelming victory.
This Ash also had a record of wrestling with Onix, had fought Ho-Oh, had died and returned to life, and still carried the Rainbow Wing.
By the time the original Ash entered the Battle Frontier during his Advanced Generation journey, he had already reached the level of a Frontier Brain.
He might have ranked near the bottom among the Frontier Brains, but he had unquestionably reached that tier of strength.
As for this version of Ash, his strength could only be considerably higher.
"He looks like some random Trainer, but he's actually a Frontier Brain-level expert. People overlook him because he's young and doesn't hold an official League position."
"The result of the first match has already been decided."
From a certain perspective, although Ash had not participated in the training camp, he could still be considered one of Hikaru's apprentices.
Drapion was struck by the unerring Zippy Zap.
Pikachu spun through the air, hardening its tail until it became as solid as steel!
One clean strike to the head.
"Iron Tail!"
"That boy is the one I once met at Mt. Hideaway," Bruno said.
"He and his classmates asked me what the legendary 'ultimate secret technique' truly was."
From the competitors' waiting room, Bruno watched Ash claim victory in the opening match. A nostalgic expression crossed his face.
"At the time, I made them carry water, chop firewood, and move rocks. Of course, that was merely an excuse to make them work while I enjoyed a free meal."
"But who could have imagined that the confused boy from back then would grow this powerful?"
"It seems he has finally understood the true meaning of the ultimate secret technique."
In truth, there had never been any ultimate secret technique.
But if such a technique did exist, it would be the unity between the hearts of Pokémon and humans.
In other words, Aura!
Behind him, Karen's gaze sharpened as she realized how interesting the situation had become.
"So that was an unerring pulse? I never expected to see it in the very first match."
"If every pulse-based move can produce a similar effect, then their users will never need to worry about accuracy. That is truly..."
"Wouldn't this also qualify as one of your ultimate secret techniques?"
Bruno considered Karen's question, then nodded slightly.
"I doubt it would be possible without linking the Trainer's heart to the Pokémon's. There must be some secret hidden within pulse-based moves."
"And the only person who knows the full truth is the Sage Champion."
"Let's watch the second match!"
There were so many experts gathered here that it almost resembled an assembly of super warriors with a combined power of ten billion!
Karen blinked.
"Is that Green?!"
She covered her mouth and laughed.
"The martial artist facing her is finished. She's a powerhouse from Pallet Town!"
"Still, I never expected her to enter a tournament like this. She may be the weakest of those four, but..."
Green's opponent was Brawly from Hoenn.
Brawly was a friend of Bruno's, the Gym Leader of Dewford Town, and a dedicated surfer.
Bruno narrowed his eyes.
"Brawly is one of my training partners. He may not rank among the greatest experts at this tournament, but his skill in martial arts is unquestionable."
"He is a man capable of raising enormous waves."
"His tactics generally rely on straightforward attacks. However, he sometimes uses a softer style that ebbs and flows like the tide."
"The Pokémon he selected are naturally Medicham and Hariyama, two species that strongly represent Hoenn's martial artists."
"Although his use of Hitmontop overlaps slightly with Chuck's team."
Most martial artists used many of the same Pokémon.
Could that make it difficult to tell them apart during battle?
It was certainly possible.
The thought made Bruno laugh.
Learning to identify one's own Pokémon among a crowd of identical species was another essential discipline for Trainers and martial artists.
"However, Brawly must remain cautious," Bruno continued. "Green is an exceptionally formidable opponent."
"She may not be one of our regional Champions, but in terms of strength, she isn't far behind the other three."
"She narrowly lost to... No, Green didn't lose to Lance. She lost to Red and the others."
"One, two, three. First came Blue, then Leaf, and finally Red. By the time Green arrived, she had to face the strongest opponent from the beginning. I suppose she still fell a little short."
Karen grinned mischievously.
"So Lance was used as a speed bump and run over four separate times? Then again, Lance wasn't nearly as strong back then as he is now."
"Green is also using Medicham," Karen continued. "Everyone reached the same conclusion. Its Psychic and Fighting typing gives it resistance to Fighting-type moves."
"Every martial artist seems to own a Medicham. But because it also possesses the Psychic type, it loses Fighting's usual resistance to Dark-type attacks."
"Still, I've never seen Green use a Pokémon like this before. Can she truly fight effectively against a martial arts specialist...?"
Karen never finished her sentence.
Something changed inside the arena.
"I'm Brawly, the Gym Leader of Dewford Gym! I've been churned by treacherous waves and trained inside pitch-black caves! If you want to challenge me, show me everything you've got!"
"Battle is vast and unfathomable, just like Hoenn's ocean!"
Brawly was a familiar face to Trainers who frequently visited Hoenn.
Dewford Town was also a famous destination for mining and tourism. As Hoenn's representative martial artist, Brawly was determined to raise a tremendous wave in this tournament!
The sea embraced everything!
Muscles were no different!
"Martial arts are divided into hard and soft styles," Brawly declared. "The hard style defeats the opponent with your own strength."
"The soft style borrows the opponent's power and redirects it. It is like the rising and falling of the tide, moving naturally with the current."
No matter how much someone increased their strength and speed, it would accomplish nothing before the ultimate art of softness.
Inside the competitors' waiting room, Hikaru studied Brawly's formation.
"Brawly's battle style revolves around setting up screens."
"Screens?" Korrina asked.
"Light Screen and Reflect reduce damage from special and physical moves," Hikaru explained. "His Pokémon are also exceptionally skilled with Bulk Up, Counter, Vital Throw, Reversal, Sand Attack, and Protect."
"He reduces his opponent's accuracy, waits to retaliate with a more powerful counterattack, and uses defensive moves to block incoming attacks."
"Finally, his ace enters the battle. Hariyama can use Belly Drum, one of the most powerful boosting moves, to raise its strength tremendously."
"That is why he can be called a master of the soft style."
Brawly did not literally possess an ultimate art of softness in the games. However, his movesets emphasized defense and counterattacks, so describing him as a master of softness was entirely appropriate.
"Green seems determined to break through his screens in a single attack," Hikaru continued. "In that case, she's probably going to use that move."
"If Brawly is a master of softness, then Green has become a master of hardness!"
Back on the battlefield, a smile tugged at Green's lips as she listened to Brawly's introduction.
A Key Stone appeared in her hand.
At the same moment, a stone began glowing on the Medicham fighting beside her!
"For the last four days, I have continuously strengthened the bond between my Pokémon and me!"
"Battle is one of the most important ways to strengthen that bond. By synchronizing my heart with my Pokémon's, it feels as though I possess Telepathy myself!"
"We accumulated an enormous amount of Aura for this moment, along with the aura of life!"
"No matter how tall the wall or how formidable the barrier, we'll break through it in one charge!"
"No matter what enemy stands in our path, we'll shatter them with one punch!"
"There isn't only one ocean that must be crossed in pursuit of a dream!"
"Let me surpass the seas of Hoenn right here!"
Lightning, radiance, and the aura of life erupted around her!
Brawly felt tremendous power surging from the opposing Trainer.
Wait.
Something about this was wrong!
Was the Trainer activating an ultimate move?!
"Reflect!"
Brawly immediately ordered his Medicham to erect a Reflect barrier.
Reducing the damage of the opponent's moves was always the correct decision. Reflect could halve the power of physical attacks. Even if the opponent used a high-powered super-effective move, the barrier would allow Brawly to drag the battle out!
But scorching air and overwhelming psychic power suddenly erupted from Green's Medicham!
Green smiled confidently.
"Even a martial artist from Hoenn has never seen this form!"
"Come! Unite the aura of life with limitless psychic power!"
"The Aura is with me!"
"Mega Evolve!"
Blinding light burst across the arena.
Powerful psychic energy made the aura tangible, creating additional arms.
With murderous intent infused into those imagined limbs, Medicham would destroy its enemy!
Brawly's pupils contracted violently.
"What is that?!"
Medicham had already resembled a devoted ascetic.
Now it held its hands together while balancing on one leg. Something resembling a scarf or helmet had appeared around its head.
Wisdom shone within its deep-blue eyes.
Behind it floated four enormous arms constructed from life aura!
Its Ability remained unchanged after Mega Evolution. It was still Pure Power, but its base Attack had risen from 60 to 100!
Its Speed, Special Attack, Defense, and Special Defense had also increased.
The tremendous power radiating from its body made Brawly's Medicham realize that it was in serious danger!
Read the opponent's thoughts.
Predict the opponent's actions.
"This is Mega Medicham, its true form after releasing its genuine hidden power!"
"Do you know the joke Psychic Trainers tell one another in Kalos?" Green asked.
"What... are you talking about?" Brawly replied.
"On Route 10, if you defeat one of the Psychics training there, he'll say..."
"'Your Pokémon's power level is incredible!'"
"It's at least... over 9,000!"
"Use Brick Break!"
Mega Medicham swung all six of its arms in simultaneous knife-hand strikes.
Gold had once said something memorable in Pokémon Adventures:
"Aipom can use its tail as another arm, so it effectively fights with three hands. That gives it a tremendous advantage!"
Bruno had answered him during the tournament:
"If three hands provide an advantage, then wouldn't Machamp be even stronger with four?"
Now, after Mega Evolving, Medicham possessed six arms!
Pure Power.
Six strikes in one instant.
The Dance of Shiva!
Brick Break brought a fierce knife-hand strike crashing down upon its opponent.
Its damage was not reduced by Reflect or Aurora Veil.
At the same time, it destroyed both Light Screen and Reflect!
"She won! Before her opponent could react, she smashed through his barrier in a single charge and drove his Pokémon to its knees, leaving it unable to continue!"
"What a magnificent offensive strategy! Against an expert in softness, she used the corresponding power of hardness. She identified the perfect moment and broke through with a single strike!"
"That was the perfect essence of the hard style!"
Pure Power's effect was simply terrifying!
"Was that Mega Evolution?" Glenn asked. "This is only the second match, isn't it? The level of the competitors in Johto is astonishing."
"No," Karen replied. "We're astonished too."
She stared at Mega Medicham in shock.
Then her expression gradually turned grave.
"A completely unfamiliar form... an evolution that surpasses its former limits and climbs to an entirely higher level!"
Very few Mega Evolutions had ever been observed and documented.
Seeing another one during this tournament was remarkable enough, but this was Medicham, a Pokémon used by countless martial artists.
Its appearance would cause an uproar throughout the martial arts community.
Karen herself owned a Houndoom capable of Mega Evolution. Unfortunately, she had no idea it possessed such potential.
No Trainer in Kalos or Hoenn was known to use Mega Houndoom. As for finding the corresponding stone, anyone unaware of Mega Evolution could only stumble upon it through sheer luck.
Naturally, Karen had never acquired one in Johto.
"Is this another result of the Aura training camp?" Karen wondered. "That Sage Champion makes the weak stronger and allows the powerful to advance even further."
"Isn't he afraid that someone will defeat him?"
"Plenty of the people who participated in his training still have matches ahead of them."
"By teaching such an ultimate secret technique to others, does he intend to establish his own school here?"
"Karen," Bruno said, "you're competing soon."
"According to the current bracket, if the Sage Champion and I both win, I'll face him in the next round."
"If I win, I'll battle you afterward. If I lose, my tournament ends there."
Steel against Dark...
Interesting.
"I've heard he's also a Steel-type specialist."
"Researchers once documented certain Steel-type Pokémon that resisted Dark-type attacks. That led scholars to believe Steel naturally resisted Dark, but they later discovered it was not a universal phenomenon."
"And the next competitor is... Ah. It's him."
Hikaru's match began soon afterward.
Across the battlefield, Zaymon wore an extraordinarily solemn expression.
"What an honor... Many people have challenged me in the past, and every one of them failed."
"Now it is my turn to challenge someone else."
As the legendary Karate King, Zaymon had enjoyed tremendous fame throughout Unova.
But judging from his present opponent...
It was already time for him to leave the stage!
What a tragedy!
Two of Unova's strongest Trainers had been forced into an internal battle!
Zaymon could only blame his poor luck.
Even so...
"Unleash the greatest strength of your life! Trembling battle-axes, a dragon armed to the teeth!"
Haxorus entered the battlefield with a roar.
Its axe-like tusks gleamed with razor-sharp light as it lowered its body and gathered power.
The instant Hikaru released his Pokémon, Haxorus obeyed its command and charged!
"First Impression!"
The legendary Karate King was renowned for capturing his opponent with the mind's eye.
Yet he had chosen not to send out Medicham.
He had already noticed that there were far too many Medicham at this tournament. Every martial artist would naturally prepare countermeasures against such a common opponent, possibly using ranged tactics.
Therefore, he had decided to send out his other ace, one that did not rely on Mind Reader!
First Impression was the strongest priority move, but it could only succeed when used immediately after entering battle!
The Pokémon across from Haxorus was...
Gallade?!
"It's a Psychic type! I've got you!"
Bug-type moves were super effective against Psychic types.
With First Impression's +2 priority, the opponent could never block it!
Zaymon had never expected to begin the match by inflicting such tremendous damage.
Perhaps he could even overturn the expected result...
"That isn't necessarily true," Hikaru said.
But what if it isn't?
"You guessed wrong. It isn't a Psychic type."
"It's a Fairy type."
"Ferropaladín, the Iron Paladin."
Shimmering Fairy-type light stopped Haxorus's surprise attack!
Quick Guard!
With +3 priority, Quick Guard protected its user and allies from opposing priority moves.
"When it comes to weapons for slaying dragons... a Fairy-type Pokémon is the sharpest blade of all."
Iron Valiant's pixelated eyes locked onto Haxorus.
Fairy energy surged as the wind around its blades split in two!
Power: 100 to 80.
Its strength had decreased.
In exchange, the attack became faster, fiercer, and far more violent!
Same-type attack bonus.
Power: 80 to 120.
Double super effectiveness.
Power: 120 to 240.
You use a Dragon type.
I use a Fairy type.
We both have bright futures ahead of us.
"Agile Style: Magical Torque!"
Fairy light carved two openings through the sky.
Twin arcs curved like crescent moons as they swept across the distant blue.
A performance of decapitation.
Dragon Slayer Magic.
Light thundered, shock waves scattered, and the blade returned to its sheath.
The enormous armored dragon roared.
Haxorus's body swayed before crashing heavily to the ground!
Iron Valiant spoke:
"Fairy light shall claim the dragon's soul."
"When it comes to slaying dragons, taking heads is my specialty."
