Marvel: Reincarnated as the Fire Goddess of Asgard

Chapter 233 234: The Four Siblings Face Off Against the Eternal

Phastos's voice rang out, tinged with a hint of disbelief.

"Asgardians? The rulers of the Nine Realms? Why would they want to kill Ajak?"

Ikaris said, "I don't know why they would want to kill Ajak, but I do know she was killed by fire. On this Planet, the only one capable of killing an Eternal with fire is the Asgardian sun goddess, Mavuika."

Sersi stood behind Ikaris, her lips slightly parted; she wanted to say that they hadn't confirmed anything yet, and they couldn't be sure it was them.

But as she looked at Ikaris's back and watched the shock on the others' faces gradually being replaced by anger, the words died on her lips.

Druig spoke up, his voice low. "Did you see it with your own eyes?"

Ikaris said, "When I arrived, Ajak was already dead. She had a gaping wound in her chest with charred edges, left behind by intense heat. That kind of temperature is not something human fire can achieve, nor is it something the energy of a Deviant can reach."

He paused.

"And three days ago, the Asgardians found Sersi. They said they wanted to see Ajak, so Sersi brought them here. By the time they arrived, Ajak was already dead—or rather, they had just finished killing Ajak and were preparing to leave, just as they ran into Sersi."

Sersi's hands clenched tightly. That wasn't the truth—when she brought Mavuika and the others, Ajak was already dead, and Ikaris was already holding Ajak.

But Ikaris's words blurred the timeline, turning a "coincidence" into "suspicion."

She wanted to speak up and correct him, but Ikaris's voice drowned her out.

"They are still in Norway, waiting near that cabin. Waiting for what? For us to walk right into their trap? Or waiting for the next target?"

Kingo pulled his hand from his pocket, and the energy projectile in his palm lit up with a golden glow.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go find them and avenge Ajak."

Makkari leaned forward even further, like a bowstring pulled taut.

Druig stood up, dark red emotional energy flowing around him, while Phastos's fingers danced rapidly across the small vehicle's touchscreen, and the muzzle of the energy cannon lit up.

Sprite jumped down from the vehicle, illusions coalescing around her like a thin mist.

Gilgamesh clenched his fists, Cosmic Energy dancing upon them, and Thena drew her short sword, golden light flowing along the blade.

Nine people, nine types of power, now converged into a single will—revenge.

Sersi stood amidst the crowd, looking at the companions she had spent thousands of years with, a wave of inexpressible loneliness rising in her heart.

She wanted to say that maybe it wasn't them, maybe there was a misunderstanding, maybe they could talk first.

But she knew that at this moment, those words would not be heard.

Ikaris turned and walked toward the cabin on the hill. The others followed behind him, their steps firm and murderous.

Sersi walked at the back, her steps heavy.

Mavuika stood on the clearing in front of the cabin, facing Sanka.

She was wearing a simple white shirt and dark trousers, her golden-red hair draped over her shoulders; she wore no armor and carried no weapons, only that faint, almost invisible layer of golden light surrounding her.

Hela stood to her left, arms crossed over her chest, a dangerous glint flashing in her deep green eyes; she had been waiting for three days and was growing impatient.

Thor stood to her right with Mjolnir slung over his shoulder, lightning crackling on the hammer's head; he wore an excited smile on his face, finally able to stretch his limbs.

Loki stood a step behind Thor, hands hanging at his sides, green magic flickering at his fingertips; his expression was calm, a faint, elusive smile playing on his lips, but there was no warmth in those emerald green eyes.

The four of them faced the path covered in bushes leading to Sanka.

The sound of footsteps grew closer.

Ikaris was the first to emerge from the path.

His eyes burned with golden Cosmic Energy, and the Eternal emblem on his chest glowed faintly in the twilight. He walked onto the clearing and stopped, standing about twenty meters away from Mavuika.

His gaze swept over Mavuika, Hela, Thor, and Loki, before finally landing on Mavuika.

Ikaris raised his hand, and the Cosmic Energy in his palm began to coalesce, the golden light growing brighter and brighter, like a supernova about to explode.

The others emerged from the bushes: Kingo, Makkari, Druig, Phastos, Sprite, Gilgamesh, and Thena.

Sersi walked out last. She stood behind the crowd, looking at Mavuika with a complex expression; she wanted to say something, but Ikaris did not give her the chance.

"Attack," Ikaris said.

No judgment, no defense, no negotiation—only fists and energy, only swords and magic.

The nine Eternals moved at the same second.

Kingo made the first move.

He raised his hand, and energy projectiles shot out from his palm like bullets—not just one, but dozens. The golden specks of light, trailing after-images, poured down toward the four, Mavuika included, like a rainstorm.

Hela moved slightly.

She raised her hand, and two black swords shot from her palm, not toward Kingo, but into the air. The black swords rotated in front of the four, forming a black vortex that sucked in all the energy projectiles.

The energy projectiles exploded within the vortex, light scattering in all directions, but not a single one flew toward the four.

Kingo's pupils constricted. "What—"

Hela glanced at him.

Kingo's expression changed. He raised his hand again, and this time, the energy projectiles were denser and faster, but Hela's black sword vortex remained steady, swallowing all the attacks completely.

Makkari moved.

Her speed was astonishing—not the silver-white lightning of Pietro, but a silent, ghostly movement.

She instantly appeared behind Hela, a short blade made of Cosmic Energy coalescing in her hand, and stabbed toward Hela's back.

Hela did not turn around; she didn't even move.

Thor's hammer smashed over from the side.

Makkari sensed the wind pressure and instinctively retreated.

The hammer grazed her clothes and smashed into the ground, blasting out a large crater.

Debris splashed, and Makkari was pushed away by the Impact, rolling twice before landing steadily.

She looked at Thor, her eyes narrowing slightly.

Thor slung his hammer over his shoulder and grinned. "Sneak attacking just because you're fast isn't very nice, is it?"

Thanks to their time spent with Pietro, they were all a bit accustomed to this kind of speed, and could even roughly predict the opponent's position.

Makkari didn't answer. She accelerated again—this time, not in a straight-line dash, but circling around Thor. Her speed was so fast that Thor's eyes couldn't keep up, and he could only feel gusts of wind sweeping past him.

"You can't catch me," Makkari's voice came from all directions.
