Chapter 350: Hela VS Lucas

  • Next Chapter

Lucas whispered to Loki beside him, "Why do Thor and Hela start arguing about who is more suitable to inherit the throne as soon as I arrive?"

Loki whispered back, "Thor and Hela argue all day even when you're not here. If they didn't have to maintain their condition to guard against emergencies, they would have already started fighting."

"Loki, Lucas, you don't think I can't hear you just because you're whispering, do you?"

Hela sneered, "What argument? An elder sister is like a mother. I'm educating my stupid brother, making him realize reality and stop daydreaming all day."

After speaking, Hela turned to look at Thor, wanting to see his reaction, and found that Thor had already passed out drunk.

Lucas also noticed this and shook his head with a smile. "Did I come at a bad time?"

"No, you came at just the right time."

Hela explained, "The battle situation has stabilized, and I plan to return to Asgard. Before I leave, I have something to ask of you. Since you're here, there's no time like the present."

As she spoke, Hela tied up her long hair.

"Hela, what do you mean? I'm still here." Seeing this, Loki chuckled strangely.

Clang!

Loki's response was the sound of a blade being unsheathed. Hela's Necrosword pointed at Loki, but her eyes were fixed on Lucas.

"Sorcerer Lucas, please fight me."

"You are not my match." Lucas slowly shook his head, refusing.

"That's not important. Not all battles are for victory, and not all battles need a reason."

"Alright, I understand." Lucas shrugged.

He pointed his fingers, drew a circle to open a portal, and stepped through first. "As you wish."

Hela sheathed her blade and stepped to follow. She also knew that this was not a suitable place for battle.

Loki, seeing a good show, didn't care about the drunk Thor and quickly followed.

Time and space shifted, and in an instant, the three arrived at a barren star system one after another.

"Since you use a sword, Hela, I will also fight you with a sword."

"Sword, come!"

With a shout, a silver stream of light appeared out of thin air, like lightning streaking across the night sky, descending from above into Lucas's hand.

Holding the silver longsword, Lucas said solemnly, "This sword is named Sword of Dawn, forged from the embodiment of the Abyss and the body of the original God of Darkness. It once slew Laufey."

Hearing this, Hela paused. "This sword is named Nightsword, forged from Uru, having conquered the Nine Realms and slain countless enemies."

"Please."

"Please."

Clang!

The two longswords collided.

Lucas moved with his sword, using his height advantage to gain a higher position, and with his left hand, he pressed down forcefully on the sword he held with both hands.

Hela chose not to resist head-on. She held her sword with one hand, shifted her body to deflect the force, and with her free hand, she swung it, and a magical blade shot out with a flow of divine power. It was at a tricky angle, like a venomous snake suddenly darting out from the side.

The moment the sword was drawn, the air tore, leaving a faint black line in the void.

Lucas remained unhurried. He suddenly increased the force in his hand, causing Hela's body to stiffen and her movements to deform slightly. Then, he slightly shifted his body, dodging the blade Hela shot out by a hair's breadth.

A miss by a hair's breadth can sometimes be a miss by a thousand miles.

While Hela's body was rigid, Lucas kicked her squarely in the lower abdomen.

Bang!

Immense force erupted, and Hela's body was sent crashing and flying into the distance.

Upon landing, Hela ignored the sharp pain in her lower abdomen. She quickly scrambled to her feet and swung her sword at an empty spot.

The moment the Nightsword fell, a golden halo appeared, and Lucas emerged from it.

Clang!

The two swords collided again. Lucas retreated into the portal with the momentum, but he did not give up.

Countless sparks scattered, and portals constantly opened and closed around Hela, with a flash of light occasionally piercing out from them.

Loki, who had followed, was dazzled and had to use Time Magic to clearly see their movements.

However, Hela didn't think so. After only a brief exchange, she realized that Lucas was once again using similar strength and speed to her, just like the first time he fought her.

This greatly displeased Hela. While fending off Lucas's attacks, she said coldly, "Sorcerer Lucas, respect this battle. Fight me with all your strength."

The sparks scattered, no longer appearing.

Lucas stood in front of Hela with his sword, his tone innocent. "Hela, if I go all out, you'll die."

"I am the Goddess of Death of Asgard. Asgard will not be destroyed, and I will not die." Hela said in a deep voice, her sword vibrating.

"Someone told me something similar before. Guess what happened?"

Shaking his head slightly, Lucas raised the Sword of Dawn in his hand and flicked it with a finger.

Ding!

The sword of dawn was forged from the embodiment of the Abyss and the body of the original God of Darkness.

Suddenly, Hela remembered Lucas's introduction of the long sword in his hand, and her expression immediately became solemn.

Seeing the two stop, Loki, from a distance, shouted, "Sister, don't be afraid! Even if you are accidentally killed by Lucas, I can revive you with time magic!"

With that, Loki formed a hand seal, and a mysterious green rune flew out towards the center of Hela and Lucas's previous battle.

The mysterious rune glowed, and green light enveloped the battlefield. In the next instant, time reversed, and the ravaged battlefield gradually recovered.

Slicing down with the Nightsword in her hand, a stream of dark green energy poured out, tearing apart the green rune.

Hela coldly shouted, "Shut up!"

Loki obediently complied, making a zipping motion over his mouth to indicate silence, then pointed to the green rune in the center of the battlefield.

The green rune had silently restored itself.

"Heh." Lucas chuckled and swung his sword.

The green rune in the center of the battlefield turned to nothing.

This seemingly silent scene made Loki's pupils contract, followed by an even more shocking event.

Crack... Crack...

The sound of breaking glass came from all directions, and fragments of space-time peeled off, turning into dust.

A few seconds later, the space-time structure in the large area where Lucas, Hela, and Loki were located completely collapsed, and the three were swallowed by the deep, dark cosmic crack.

Being in this place, time seemed to lose its meaning. There was no past, present, or future.

"Loki, time is a very powerful force, but don't let it limit you."

After an unknown period, perhaps an instant, perhaps an eternity, Loki heard a voice, and the sense of time passing returned, his muddled brain clearing.

Looking up, Loki saw Lucas looking at him, with a look of earnest guidance, as if teaching.

"What's going on?" Loki asked.

Lucas shrugged, "As you can see, time has disappeared."

Loki pressed, "Then why can we still talk and communicate?"

Lucas smiled mysteriously. "You've already asked that question."

I've already asked?

Loki was stunned, then countless memory fragments surfaced, gradually piecing together into a complete event.

Lucas shattered the surrounding space-time, and the three of them fell outside reality.

Afterward, Lucas woke Loki, and Loki asked the same question as now.

Lucas explained and restored the surrounding space-time structure, and brought the three back to reality.

"Time... was deceived?" Loki murmured to himself.

As the restored space-time structure reconnected with the original space-time, the above events did not exist on the cosmic timeline, yet they genuinely happened.

"You could say that."

"Time was deceived? What are you talking about?" Hela asked with a frown.

From her perspective, she only saw Lucas's sword shattering the time magic rune released by Loki.

"Nothing." Lucas said in a flat tone.

Loki opened his mouth, but in the end, he only sighed and did not explain.

Seeing this, Hela's frown deepened. "If it's nothing, then let's continue the previous battle. Lucas, please go all out and don't hold back."

"Sorry, I refuse."

"Why?" Hela pressed.

"Hela, before I answer your 'why,' can you answer one of mine?" Lucas paused slightly:

"You know you're not my match, so why do you insist on me using my full power? Wouldn't it be better if we just played around with similar speed and strength?"

Hela pondered in silence for a moment, seemingly understanding. If she didn't answer Lucas's question, Lucas wouldn't answer hers either.

"I have a dream."

Hela slowly said, "To make Asgard great again, even greater than it was under Odin."

"Odin led Asgard to conquer the Nine Realms and become the overlord of the Universe. I will lead Asgard to conquer the Multiverse and become the overlord of the Multiverse."

Pausing, Hela's tone became chilling. "Lucas, if you're worried about killing me, there's no need. If I die like this, it just means I'm only capable of this much. So be it."

"Hela, I'll tell you honestly, I won't easily go all out." Lucas sighed, looking up at the starry sky slightly.

"If I were to go all out, not only would you die. This starry sky, this Universe, and even countless Universes near this Universe, would all face utter destruction."

"How is that possible?" Hela disbelieved.

"You have not seen the scenery in my eyes, so how do you know it's impossible?"

Lucas chuckled, opening his palm, and a phantom figure, fully armored and cloaked in red, appeared upon it—Infinite Ultron.
