Marvel: I Made the SCP Foundation Real

Chapter 60 Endless Carnage—The Birth of the Blacklight Queen

  • Next Chapter

A cold female corpse was pushed along on a gurney.

Pale skin.

A beautiful face.

A bloodstained white shirt.

Her hair, originally a mixture of black and red, had transformed into a striking combination of red and white. Together with her deathly pale complexion, she resembled a sleeping vampire queen.

A cleaner wearing a protective suit pushed the gurney forward.

Perhaps it was only his imagination, but he could have sworn that the corpse had just moved.

“Hey! Did someone turn the temperature down too far? It’s fucking freezing in here!”

“It’s always kept at this temperature.”

Still cursing under his breath, the cleaner pushed the gurney toward an autopsy table and prepared to dump the body onto it.

At that moment, he distinctly saw the corpse move again!

“Fuck! The body just moved!”

“What the hell are you shouting about? That woman took the American quick-draw treatment and ended up with dozens of holes in her. You’re seeing things.”

His companion walked over as he spoke.

Then he saw the dead woman’s eyelashes tremble slightly.

A pair of wine-red eyes opened and stared at him in confusion.

“Holy shit! She’s alive?!”

Elivise gazed blankly at the two cleaners, who were dressed like soldiers from a hazardous-materials response unit.

The next moment, she saw one of them trembling as he pulled out a handgun.

When the dark muzzle pointed toward her, Elivise’s mind went completely blank.

She instinctively raised her right hand.

With almost no effort, she grabbed the man’s neck and snapped it.

The other cleaner was so terrified that he wet himself.

Cursing hysterically, he raised his weapon and opened fire on Elivise.

Then something horrifying happened.

He emptied the entire magazine.

Every bullet struck the woman who had returned from the dead, yet she barely reacted.

Elivise placed her right hand against his head.

The cleaner suddenly felt as if his body were melting.

His flesh, clothing, and even his weapon dissolved into a blood-red fluid before being completely absorbed into Elivise’s body.

At that moment, Elivise saw what appeared to be the man’s memories.

“Dispose of the female corpse that arrived today. There may have been a leak, so keep your protective suits on.”

“We’ll leave the rest to you. We need to report back.”

Elivise climbed off the autopsy table and staggered around, searching for an exit.

Then she noticed a bloodstained hooded sweatshirt nearby.

A faint fragment of her former memories surfaced within her otherwise empty mind.

“Gwen Stacy?”

“I know that person? Maybe she knows who I am.”

Elivise muttered to herself before pulling something out of the sweatshirt.

Several other cleaners entered and saw her standing there.

Alarms immediately began blaring throughout the facility.

At the sound of the alarm, the armed guards protecting the disposal facility rushed toward her position.

They soon discovered that they were facing a terrifying humanoid monster.

Elivise’s seemingly delicate body contained horrifying strength.

Even though she knew nothing about hand-to-hand combat, her overwhelming physical abilities allowed her to kill someone with a single dainty-looking punch.

She moved like a ghost.

Bullets could injure her, but whenever she was wounded, she consumed any armed guards she managed to capture, restoring herself like a demon from legend.

Even more terrifyingly, as one guard after another dissolved into red-and-black biomass and was absorbed, Elivise appeared to acquire their combat experience.

Her movements became faster and more practiced.

Her combat abilities grew increasingly terrifying.

When additional guards arrived, Elivise chose not to remain and fight.

She pushed off the ground with both feet and fled toward the exit.

A heavy containment door was already closing when her graceful figure flashed through the narrowing gap like a ghost.

Elivise emerged into the parking lot.

A helicopter swept overhead, and its spotlight struck her face, making her eyes ache.

To the pilot’s horror, Elivise lifted a parked car over her head.

She hurled the several-ton vehicle directly at the helicopter.

A deafening crash followed.

Wave after wave of elite soldiers in full protective equipment arrived aboard armored vehicles, attempting to trap Elivise inside the facility.

She merely accelerated into a sprint and leaped.

Her body sailed over the facility’s towering perimeter wall, leaving the soldiers staring after her in disbelief.

On the streets of Manhattan, a red-and-white-haired woman wearing a bloodstained shirt raced through the heavy traffic.

Drivers stared in shock as the beautiful woman weaved between vehicles.

She was running faster than cars traveling at eighty or ninety kilometers per hour.

“Holy shit! Is this 911? There’s a woman running down the middle of the road! She’s—she’s faster than the cars!”

“Please don’t waste emergency resources, sir. This isn’t the time for jokes.”

A short while later, however, the NYPD dispatcher was stunned to discover that similar calls were pouring in continuously.

It didn’t appear to be a prank.

Gwen Stacy was awakened by the piercing police sirens outside her window.

Rubbing her sleepy eyes, she walked into the living room.

Perhaps it was only her imagination, but Gwen felt as though her eyesight had improved considerably.

“Mom, did Dad get called out again?”

Her mother, Helen, shrugged helplessly.

“There seem to be an unusual number of emergency calls tonight. Are you feeling any better?”

Hearing her mother’s concern, Gwen smiled like the well-behaved daughter she was and nodded.

“Much better. I feel amazing!”

The moment she finished speaking, her father, George, opened the front door with a grave expression.

As soon as he entered, he spoke worriedly to Helen.

“Helen, have Gwen take a few days off school. I want both of you to stay in the countryside for a while.”

“I’ve received word that Manhattan may be placed under lockdown…”

“Something serious appears to have happened.”
