Marvel: I Made the SCP Foundation Real

Chapter 31 The Terrifying SCP-096—The Shy Guy

“2B, what’s the current status of SCP-096, ‘The Shy Guy’?” “Reporting, Commander.

SCP-096 is currently rampaging through S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Las Vegas facility.” “Correct the footage and display it.” “Understood, Commander.

Corrected footage has been uploaded.” A video feed appeared in front of Ethan.

It showed SCP-096 slaughtering its way through the S.H.I.E.L.D.

installation near Las Vegas.

However, its face had been completely pixelated.

Ethan picked up the Foundation containment file and looked through it.

The description of SCP-096 was written clearly inside.

SCP-096, “The Shy Guy,” is a humanoid entity approximately 2.38 meters in height.

The subject possesses very little muscle mass, and preliminary weight analysis suggests mild malnutrition.

Its arms are grossly disproportionate to the rest of its body, each measuring approximately 1.5 meters in length.

Most of its skin is completely devoid of pigmentation, and no body hair is present.

SCP-096 is capable of opening its jaw to approximately four times the normal maximum range of a human jaw.

Aside from the lack of pigmentation in its eyes, the remainder of its facial features are broadly humanoid.

Under ordinary circumstances, SCP-096 was extremely docile and harmless.

However, the moment someone saw SCP-096’s face—whether directly, through video footage, or even in a photograph—the entity would immediately enter a state of severe emotional distress.

Once sufficiently distressed, SCP-096 would become violent.

It would cover its face with its hands, begin screaming, crying, and producing incoherent vocalizations.

Much like the Witch from Left 4 Dead, it would then rush toward the person who had viewed its face without regard for anything standing in its way.

That individual would subsequently be designated SCP-096-1.

Once enraged, SCP-096 could move at speeds ranging from 35 km/h to an unknown upper limit, apparently depending on the distance between itself and SCP-096-1.

At present, no known material or method had proven capable of preventing SCP-096 from reaching its target.

The entity also appeared to possess an inherent ability to determine SCP-096-1’s exact location.

When SCP-096 killed SCP-096-1, no identifiable remains would be left behind.

Several minutes after eliminating the target, SCP-096 would gradually calm down and return to its normally docile state.

It would then attempt to return to its natural habitat.

Because the entity had the potential to trigger catastrophic chain reactions—including large-scale civilian casualties and severe breaches of Foundation secrecy—recovery of SCP-096 was designated an A-Class priority.

Ethan expressionlessly lowered the Foundation file.

The information was largely identical to the SCP material he remembered reading in his previous life.

This was also the first time he had ever observed actual footage of SCP-096 in reality.

Fortunately, 2B possessed extremely advanced electronic warfare capabilities.

She had already infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D.’s systems, seized control of their surveillance network, and automatically censored every frame in which SCP-096’s face appeared.

Otherwise, if footage containing its face leaked onto the internet…

God only knew how many people would die.

What Ethan didn’t know was that, at that very moment, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s leadership was watching exactly the same censored footage.

Coulson had only just confidently declared that the Las Vegas facility was practically impregnable.

Then the entire base had immediately suffered a catastrophic attack.

Nick Fury now watched with an icy expression as S.H.I.E.L.D.

agents and armed security personnel were slaughtered throughout the Las Vegas installation by SCP-096, “The Shy Guy.” Light weapons.

Heavy weapons.

Heavy machine guns.

Gatling guns.

Rocket launchers.

Nothing worked.

No matter what S.H.I.E.L.D.

threw at it, none of their weapons could stop SCP-096’s advance.

Every defensive force that stood between the entity and its target was mercilessly destroyed.

But what truly infuriated Fury was the enormous block of pixelation covering the creature’s face on every camera feed.

“What the hell is going on?!” “Our surveillance system has been hacked!” “That anomaly is slaughtering our people, and all we can see is a giant fucking blur!” “This is a disgrace to S.H.I.E.L.D.!” Fury glared at Coulson and the others through the holographic communication display before slamming his hand onto the desk.

“I want someone to find out which goddamn hacker broke into our systems!” “If it’s those bastards calling themselves the Chaos Insurgency, wipe them out!” “Disgraceful!” “Absolutely disgraceful!” “Our people are being massacred while I, the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., can do nothing but watch!” “Coulson!” “Find a way to kill that bastard!” On the other side of the communication link, Coulson wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

“Director Fury, according to the intelligence we’ve gathered, the anomaly the Foundation calls SCP-096, ‘The Shy Guy,’ appears to be specifically targeting everyone who viewed a certain photograph taken during the mountain expedition.” “We still have two surviving witnesses.” “They’ve already been urgently transferred out of Queens and relocated to two separate classified S.H.I.E.L.D.

facilities.” “We can reinforce both locations with much heavier defenses.” He continued quickly, “We’ll also use reconnaissance satellites to continuously track SCP-096.” “While it’s moving between targets, we’ll coordinate with the military and bring overwhelming firepower to bear.” “We’ll completely destroy it and erase this humiliation from S.H.I.E.L.D.’s record.” Hearing Coulson’s plan, Fury’s anger finally eased somewhat.

“Good plan, Coulson.” “With the military’s firepower supporting us, there’s no way we can’t destroy that monster.” “Whatever happens, S.H.I.E.L.D.

plus the U.S.

military gives us the overwhelming advantage.” “Get it done.” Then Fury’s expression hardened again.

“And one more thing.” “Within three days, I want that damn hacker found.” The communication ended.

Coulson finally exhaled.

He loosened his tie, which had already been soaked through with sweat.

The agents standing nearby wisely kept their eyes forward and said nothing.

Natasha and Skye, meanwhile, remained completely focused on the surveillance footage.

SCP-096 was already approaching the final defensive line protecting the witness.

Natasha slowly shook her head.

“It’s over.” Five minutes later— The last combat-capable personnel at S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Las Vegas facility had been wiped out.

The witness whom S.H.I.E.L.D.

had placed under the highest level of protection was killed inside the supposedly secure installation.
