Chapter 283: Chapter 274: Demon Dragon, Four Souls, Second Form

Muddy World Saber!

The moment Fu Juemin slashed out, all light in the great hall vanished. Even the arc of light from Luo Zhengxiong’s own full-powered slash swiftly dimmed...

The perspective pulled back, soaring over the brutal battlefield where flesh and blood flew, and focused on the Commander’s Mansion under the downpour. A thick, distorted gleam of light, like a massive, murky, sickle-shaped dark moon, suddenly burst from one of the buildings and rose into the sky!

"CRACK!—BOOM!"

The oppressive silence was utterly shattered!

Under the dark moon, the beautiful roof at that very spot split in two without warning. The entire building came crashing down... Countless shards of rock exploded outward, and dust billowed up, only to be swiftly cleansed by the torrential rain.

When the heaven-shaking commotion gradually subsided, a long, conspicuous "gully" had appeared near the center of the Commander’s Mansion. It was as if someone had viciously sliced into the heart of the estate, exposing all its splendor and filth to the open sky.

"GUSH—"

The heavy rain poured through the exposed breach in the eaves, gushing into the "gully."

Fu Juemin stood at the beginning of the "gully." Dirty water formed streams around his feet as he silently watched Luo Zhengxiong at the far end.

Luo Zhengxiong had been driven back nearly fifty meters by the slash. His body was too bloated and massive to be knocked down. He simply stood with his arms spread, a long, continuous gash now running from his jaw to his abdomen.

The cut was deep, nearly cleaving his entire stomach and chest. The green scales and flesh on both sides of the wound were peeled outward, a truly gruesome sight.

"You..."

Luo Zhengxiong stood frozen in place, the bricks and dirt his feet had plowed up forming two small hills behind him.

He stared at Fu Juemin with an expression of inexplicable shock, as if he couldn’t reconcile the man before him with a certain figure from his memory.

The gigantic cleaver he’d just drawn had long since slipped from his grasp and fallen to the side. Thick globs of viscous, dark purple blood streamed from the wound on his chest. Rainwater hitting his body instantly evaporated into hissing white steam.

"You should be glad I don’t have a suitable blade. Otherwise..."

Fu Juemin trudged forward through the mud, and the surrounding shadows surged toward him as if on a pilgrimage.

"You would already be dead."

Fu Juemin’s Saber Technique originated from the Pharmacist Master’s Blade. The way of the Pharmacist sought not to kill, so the technique was often performed with a Precepts Saber or a Hand Blade. Fu Juemin was accustomed to using a Hand Blade, but he now realized there was a vast difference in the destructive power of his Muddy World Saber when wielded with a blade versus without one.

"Impossible!!"

After a brief moment of shock, Luo Zhengxiong suddenly erupted in fury. He violently tore off his already shredded Black Gold Commander Uniform, and his muscles began to writhe rapidly.

The huge, gruesome wound on his chest forced itself shut, and the bleeding stopped.

With a low roar, a large section of the ground beneath his feet shattered. His entire body launched toward Fu Juemin like an oversized cannonball!

"RUMBLE—"

A terrifying roar tore through the air.

But it lasted less than half a breath before being violently interrupted by another sound!

"BAM!!"

Luo Zhengxiong’s high-speed charge came to a dead stop—as if he’d been slammed in the chest by a colossal, invisible pillar!

A terrifying shockwave erupted from his abdomen, blasting out a massive ring of rainy mist. Luo Zhengxiong’s diamond-dark-red eyes bulged, his body transitioning from extreme motion to absolute stillness. His eyes looked ready to pop from their sockets, and his two thick, rhinoceros-like thighs were even lifted briefly off the ground...

A strong arm, as if carved from black jade, was buried deep in his belly.

Countless orange-red glowing runes on the arm flashed wildly, each one channeling an astounding, terrifying power.

Fu Juemin’s face was contorted in a snarl. With a forward lunge, he had stopped Luo Zhengxiong dead in his tracks with a single punch!

Innumerable thick shadows surged up his legs like a dark tide.

When the power gathered in his fist reached its absolute peak—

"BOOM!!"

Amidst a thunderous crash, Luo Zhengxiong’s Meat Mountain of a body was sent flying backward, even faster than he had charged!

The air distorted violently. Fu Juemin’s figure silently melted into the shadows and vanished.

As Luo Zhengxiong’s body landed with a BOOM, crashing through a large section of wall and roof, Fu Juemin appeared right at his landing spot. Another whip kick swung out, like an ancient black battle-axe!

"KABOOM!"

"BAM!"

"BOOM! BOOM!!—"

Fu Juemin repeatedly vanished and reappeared, landing one brutal Attack after another on Luo Zhengxiong.

Luo Zhengxiong had been completely reduced to a supersized punching bag, kicked and tossed about the field by Fu Juemin, demolishing one building after another!

This one-sided beatdown continued for a dozen or so rounds.

"BOOM!"

A fist slammed heavily into Luo Zhengxiong’s face. The terrifying power behind the punch drove his head directly into the ground, blasting open a large crater.

"CRUNCH..."

Footsteps.

Treading over rubble and muddy water, they slowly approached.

A long, black arm reached out and into the crater. Five fingers clamped down on Luo Zhengxiong’s Celestial Spirit, then slowly dragged his head up out of the pit.

By now, Luo Zhengxiong’s face was swollen like a pig’s, pockmarked and battered to the point that his features were almost indistinguishable.

Fu Juemin stared at him, face-to-face, and studied him carefully. At last, he found the eyes—they still held a faint, dark red glow but had become murky and unfocused.

"Hurts, doesn’t it..."

Fu Juemin leaned in close to the side of Luo Zhengxiong’s face and said in an almost comforting tone, "If it hurts, just scream... I won’t laugh at you."

"Ngh?!"

As soon as he said this, Luo Zhengxiong’s Consciousness seemed to return in a flash. His massive body began to struggle violently, and his eyes flew wide open.

Fu Juemin, however, seemed to pay it no mind, casually raising his right hand.

"Blackness" rapidly crawled up his arm, finally converging at the tips of his five fingers. It shimmered with a mysterious, faint light, like five dark stars.

A dangerous aura quietly began to spread.

Just as Fu Juemin prepared to formally end the fight, suddenly—

"RRRRIP—!"

As if something had been violently torn apart, a sudden gust of fetid wind swept past his face, forcing Fu Juemin to instinctively narrow his eyes.

Two dense shadows unfolded without warning.

Before Fu Juemin could even react—

"KABOOM! CRACK—!"

A thick bolt of lightning tore across the dim, rain-veiled sky!

In that instant, a peal of thunder mixed with the sound of an explosion, and a relatively slender, dark figure was sent flying.

The flash of lightning illuminated the battlefield of the Commander’s Mansion, now almost a complete ruin. There, amidst the downpour, Luo Zhengxiong stood atop a pile of rubble, two huge, membranous wings unfurled behind him. His Meat Mountain of a body was madly twisting, swelling, and deforming...

The originally ink-green scales all over his body turned dark purple, one by one. His legs rapidly elongated, becoming more proportional and powerful. A thick tail sprouted from his lower back, and his torso began to lengthen...

Six meters, seven meters, eight meters...

Finally, a gigantic, winged lizard monster was revealed, standing seven meters tall and over fifteen meters long.

"This state... even I cannot fully control it at this stage..."

A low, hissing whisper that was indistinct and androgynous, as if many different voices were layered together, issued from the monster’s mouth.

At this point, Luo Zhengxiong’s head had completely transformed into something resembling a cross between a crocodile and a lizard. Its thick, protruding jaws opened to reveal two rows of teeth as sharp and white as guillotine blades. His tone was chilling as he enunciated each word, "You... are the one... who forced me to do this!"

With that said, the last vestiges of humanity in his eyes rapidly faded, replaced entirely by an unparalleled violence, ferocity, and cruel bestiality.

"ROAR—!"

He threw back his long, thick, purple-scaled neck and let out a strange, hissing roar.

The terrifying sonic wave spread through the air, blasting apart the curtain of rain in a radius of several dozen meters!

Then it moved. Its fleshy wings flapped, propelling it forward at a speed that was completely disproportionate to its massive body—it was unbelievably fast.

Under the curtain of rain, it became a massive blur.

A terrifying aura, carrying the thick moisture of the air, swept over everything, threatening to consume it all.

Fu Juemin stood about a hundred meters away, the rapidly approaching blur reflected in his black, slitted pupils.

The terrifying aura, mixed with the gale and downpour, lashed violently at his face. The danger drew nearer, and nearer...

Just as his figure was about to be completely engulfed by that massive, twisted, and ferocious shadow.

Suddenly, the corners of Fu Juemin’s lips turned upward. A cold, wicked smile appeared on his bewitchingly handsome face.

"So you think you’re the only one who can fucking transform?"

As he spoke, a muffled thud echoed from within his body.

In his Dantian, the drop of Innate Primordial Liquid—nearly half of which was already gone—completely detonated!

"BOOM!"

In an instant, all the shadows—from the surrounding ruins, from the cracks in the stones, from every nook and cranny, even the shadow cast by the lizard monster skimming the ground about to close in on him—were all violently yanked in a single direction!

Innumerable shadows converged on Fu Juemin, like an endless torrent of ink, all scrambling to bore into his body.

In the blink of an eye, Fu Juemin was completely engulfed by the endless ink-black darkness.

Immediately after, an even taller and more ferocious humanoid silhouette rapidly took form within the darkness...
