Chapter 6098, Acceptance, This Plane Is Too Small For You Two

There was fear in their eyes. It was certainly not forged, and it came from both the students and the staff members.
“Why is everyone looking at us like this?” Yang Ji muttered under his breath. This was certainly… uncomfortable. He and his Sister had never been looked at with such eyes.
Of course, that was natural, because they just had never noticed. They rarely interacted with others outside their circle. They had been confined to Starry Sky Palace for most of their lives, and when they sought adventure, it was typically in more riskier places rather than populated ones. They had little interest in towns and cities across the world, and sought out areas of true adventure.
Even if others saw them, they had rarely used their powers on others. This could be considered the first time they had wantonly used it on someone else, who did not truly know them. As such, with the fear of their backing and the fear of these two acting as they pleased, it was no wonder that others started to fear them.
Rather than awe or shock that typically veiled their eyes, to the weak, were these two children no different than tyrants born to a massive Family, one that could not be challenged? They could do as they pleased, and no one would be able to do anything to them.
The scene of the receptionist loudly crying after being released merely pushed to cement everyone’s negative impression of them. Her desperate pleading just made it seem like they had done the worst to her.
Even if the Twins did something in the wrong, no one stood up against them. After all, who dared to go against them?
Though these people were none the wiser to the true mechanisations behind the scenes, and this impression of the Twins was a false one, it was not like the Twins could explain their way out of this situation. Who would believe them?
In fact, Yang Ji could clearly feel that any explanation was meaningless at this point. So, he just controlled his emotions and left with his Sister.
Though Yang Xu wanted to promptly explain, she too was overwhelmed when she saw her Brother leave with just dejection on his face. He did not force her to leave with him by transporting her away, but she just left after him.
As for the receptionist, her tears did not stop even after they were gone. She continued to sob until her fellow staff members came to comfort her.
…
“Brother, why did you just leave? We got to clear things up. We did none of those things.” Yang Xu quickly tried to convince him to go back but Yang Ji just shook his head.
“It’s useless. Would they believe us? We have no evidence that the matter with Wu Lun and the other receptionist, Mei Qing, was not our doing. Besides, we did actually threaten her.”
“But aren’t you angry? We’re being blamed for something we didn’t do.” Yang Xu asked with a grievous face, though she was more mad about her Brother facing this injustice than caring about how these people viewed her. In her mind, she could not care less about them and she knew it.
However, her Brother was different. He was in a way, trying to be like their Father, who was like a hero in the eyes of others. For them to suddenly look at him with such eyes, it certainly struck him.
Yang Ji just shook his head. “Though I’m not as well versed as you when it comes to dealing with people, I at least know that the more we try to explain, the more unbelievable it will seem. If we really want to prove ourselves innocent, then we would need to bring back Wu Lun and Mei Qing, no?”
Standing up in the sky, overseeing the entire school, Yang Ji then points to a particular location. “See, he’s not even hiding anymore.”
“Eh?” Yang Xu exclaimed as her eyes narrowed towards where Yang Ji was pointing towards.
After all, this was the place where the Twins had first met Wu Lun. The same small alleyway within the school. And, the mysterious youth was just standing there, waving his hand as though welcoming the Twins, despite the clear obvious distance between them.
“Is this some kind of trap?” Yang Xu questioned but Yang Ji did not believe that to be the case, “If even Father is wary of him, then it means that he could have done whatever he wished without us being able to resist. Since he is obviously welcoming us, we might as well see how things play out.”
When the two appeared before him, Wu Lun acted so familiar with them, he came in for a huge hug. However, Yang Ji immediately made a wall, made from compressing Space Principles, and protected his and his Sister’s innocence.
“That was uncalled for. I was just going in for a little hug.” Wu Lun did not seem at all bothered about his face being planted into a sudden wall. In fact, he did not even seem the slightest bit injured. He just looked at the Twins and gave a nod, “Seems like you two have gone through a lot while we last met. Missed me?”
Yang Xu rolled her eyes at his nonchalance. As for Yang Ji, his eyes narrowed and he straight forwardly asked, “Why did you do it?”
Wu Lun seemed surprised by his question. His eyes widened as a look of astonishment covered his features, “My my. What do you mean? What exactly did I do?”
“Why did you kidnap the receptionist, Mei Qing?” Yang Ji straightforwardly asked once more.
“Oh, that.” Wu Lun paused for a while and looked up into the sky. He shook his head and smiled, “I have no need for third-parties to know about this. Just know that she is safe and well. Besides, the reason I’m here to see you two is more important than her.”
Wu Lun paused for a while, gauging to see if the Twins were going to pursue this topic further. However, seeing them keep silent, he continued, “Due to some dreadful terms a cunning beast had left behind, I am forced to take you two away. But before that, I wish to explain further so that you understand your situation.”
Wu Lun’s expression changed at this moment. It was no longer that of a child fooling around, but that of an eternal being who had witnessed the vestige of time and the mortality of worlds. His eyes glowed and his voice deepened, sounding both foreign and mysterious. “You two will not grow further in this plane. So, come with me. Refusal is impossible due to the Convent. I have also seen how your Will also has no effect on fate.”
“So, that’s what you two were talking about at that time. So you and that worm are in cahoots to kidnap us?” Yang Xu suddenly blurted out.
At this point, Wu Lun smiled, “How is it kidnapping when even your Parents have agreed to it?”
This answer rang in the Twins’ ears. They could not believe their Father or Mothers would ever agree to such a thing.
“That’s not possible.” Yang Xu replied.
“Then, do you believe that they are not aware of our meeting?” Wu Lun smiled and pointed up at the sky. “You two have basically outgrown whatever they can teach you. Most of your journey in cultivation has been self-learnt rather than taught. Unlike any of your Siblings, neither of you two have a real Master. Have you two never considered why? What use is this school to the two of you? Continuing like this just hinders the growth of others, and your own growth.”
Wu Lun then snaps his fingers, and the world around them changed. This was not them switching positions, rather they were just seeing the sights of another location. They were watching the inside of the reception building, where the receptionist was still crying, where people were discussing about the Twins.
Everything was clearly illusionary. So, Yang Ji, having his doubts, opened up an opening through Space, a small portal to hear if the conversation matched up to what they were seeing and hearing from Wu Lun’s mysterious creation.
And… it was exactly the same…
“I’m so glad you’re okay…”
“Since they’ve let you go, I’m sure they won’t bother you anymore.”
“We can’t say that for certain. What if they come back to retaliate? What then? Do you think their Parents will do anything?”
“But, their Father is Senior Yang Kai, the great hero. Surely he will protect us.”
“Bah! Protect us? Have you not seen him cover up for his kids? What about those missing? We haven’t even received so much as an explanation, and we know he had the power to monitor this entire world he created.”
There were voices of worry and dissent amongst them, As the sobbing receptionist got comforted, others also turned towards those in senior positions and asked.
“Senior, if the same thing happens to us, what are we to do?”
“Senior, has there been any response from the higher-ups?”
The overall in charge shook his head and he addressed their concern. Though, his answer was not much… “*Haaa…* Such matters are difficult. As you know, those two are not ordinary children. I’ve heard even Cave Heavens and Paradises bend to them. Just listen to my advice and avoid them as much as possible.”
…
Such conversations were occurring everywhere. Though the Twins did nothing wrong, it did not matter. The truth of the matter was, regardless of how they act, these people were more afraid of offending them.
Though Yang Kai and his Wives hope to alleviate the class disparity amongst people, it could not be rooted out immediately. Even if there were some who believe that Yang Kai was just, they would hold their breath as the current evidence does point counter to their own thoughts.
Furthermore, did Yang Ji and Yang Xu not wantonly do as they pleased just because they had the strength to do so? Did this not run counter to the ideals of High Heaven Academy?
Though Yang Kai’s Wives wanted to integrate their children into this school, it was obvious that the school itself could not accommodate them. In that case, why limit them here?
The only thing restricting them from taking that final step in accepting this reality was the longing of Parents towards their Children.
However, Wu Lun had brought reality in front of all their faces. He highlighted how inadequate the school was for the Twins. That, as Parents, their own emotions were limiting their own Children’s growth.
Faced with this reality, what else could they choose?
Faced with this reality, how could they refuse?
Even if reluctant, even if pained, Yang Kai could only make a choice. Even if his Wives got angry with him, even if his Parents threw him out of the house for the next few decades, he knew as a Father, this was what was best for his kids.
They needed to see a wider world, a world that could fit them.
This world was simply too small for talent like theirs.
As a Father, he was proud. But as a Father, he was also fearful. Would they be safe? They were going to be alone in that mysterious plane.
However, when Yang Kai looked into the mirror, and saw his own reflection, part of him calmed down a little. They were, after all, his Children. If he did not believe them, who else would?
So, the decision was made.
And Wu Lun moved…
