Chapter 6073, Space Array

“You innocent little ones remain blissfully unaware if such trifling displays should stir your wonder.” The Heavenly Demon Queen added, unimpressed by this scene.

“What are you talking about? Father is creating an entire world right in front of us. If that isn’t amazing, then what is?” Yang Ji rolled his eyes, sharply pointing out the flaw in her argument. “Even those in the Open Heaven Realm are unable to do something like this, unless they part with a part of their Small Universe, which comes at the great cost to them. Even if we master the Dao of Space, we would not be able to create something from nothing. But Father is doing just that from his own Will. I don’t think you fail to see that!”

The Heavenly Demon Queen gave a scoff, “So those realms within a few of your kind are distinguished as Small Universes. Flawed worlds conceived from the materials of this one.”

“Discourse with one such as yourself is fruitless. Just know that worlds born without life at the start are flawed. This world requires the tempest of time to breathe life into it. It is not a True World in the truest sense. Yet still, this creation serves its appointed design, and to those of unrefined eyes, it shall bear no variance from a True World in its manifestation. Upon this point alone, do I grant my acknowledgement.” The Heavenly Demon Queen stated and no longer wished to explain further.

Still, her words did spark interest in Yang Ji and Yang Xu. They could not help but ask their Mother, “Mom, why is there no life here?”

Instead of Su Yan answering, it was Yang Kai who overheard them and answered, “Life takes time to sprout. It is not done in an instant. But no worries, in one month, this whole place will be a paradise of green. Right now, all it takes is just the passage of time to pass by. But before that, I still have to set some things up.”

Yang Kai then took out a small sapling. It was none other than a World Tree clone. Since this was going to be an independent Space, though still connected to Star Boundary, it would not receive as much of the blessings of the World Tree as outside. The only way to solve this was to plant a World Tree clone here, so all children would be blessed.

It should be noted that Universe Worlds, like Star Boundary and Myriad Monster World, were filled with people due to the blessings received from the World Tree clones–Star Boundary especially. The reason for this was due to how the blessings would not only affect the parents, but would be more effective when passed down to children born here. So many couples, those wealthy enough, would strive to settle down in Star Boundary to receive such blessings.

However, those weak and poor, outcast and uneducated, would never receive such a blessing with the current system, whereby everything was monopolised by the powerful and wealthy.

Since his Wives wished for a better system, a more fair system, as their Husband, who had also strived through adversity from the bottom, why would he be against this? He would also like to give opportunities to those who lacked them, and allow those diligent to go further in life.

With this one sapling, though they might not be able to completely eliminate that gap, they would significantly narrow it down. As long as parents were willing to put their children in High Heaven Academy, there was a greater chance for them to prosper, and an even greater chance for their Grandchildren to prosper.  

Yang Kai placed it down at the centre of this place, which was a tall mountain, already laced with channels for the river beds. There, without a single trace of water, the sapling took root and immediately began to grow, little by little.

Next Yang Kai looked to the sky and he clasped his fist. The supposed sky above, bright and radiant from the Sun’s rays, soon darkened with massive clouds that covered the world.

Yang Kai soon turned to the three behind him, and said, “Next is to speed up time, for the cycle of life to begin. With Yin and Yang already in existence, with Fire provided in abundance, Earth and Air created from my Will, and with Wood and Metal by time, this world would be complete. We should leave now and let nature take its course. I plan to speed time up by a hundred thousand times before the rest arrives. I hope this has been educational for you two.” 

From beginning to end, this had taken about two hours. The basic foundation of the world has already been established, but Yang Kai still has much to do, more things to adjust, like natural Formations of mountains and rivers and the Space Arrays themselves for others to enter. However, he could not possibly allow his children inside a Space with such drastic time dilation.

“En.” Yang Ji and Yang Xu felt amazing at the power his Father possessed. With a wave of his fingers, mountains and rivers were carved, with a thought, lightning and rain was called upon. Still those words from the Heavenly Demon Queen nagged at them. In the end, it was as she said, that time still needed to pass for the world to become complete. In that case, was this world really not a True World?

The Twins seem to be deep in thought, as though they were comprehending the mysteries her Husband had performed. So Su Yan excused them, “I think they have realised a few things. That has already made this trip worthwhile. For now, we will wait outside while you work inside then. But, since we three are here, I would like to ask what kind of design you plan for the Space Arrays. I want these two to have something to do while we wait for you outside.”

That had been a tacit agreement that their Children were not allowed to enter and Space that distorts time. So naturally, the Twins would be kept out of this place before time began to speed up, and would only be allowed to enter once time had been set to normal.

The reason for this was Yang Xue and Yang Xiao, who had lost their childhood while trapped in the Flowing Time Temple. There was also a little bit of their own selfishness at play since Su Yan and the rest wanted to raise them till adulthood for as long as possible. 

Yang Kai gave a nod and produced three tokens from his Space Ring. Using his Divine Sense, he carved out the base design of the Space Array on it, and sent it over. There were even instructions written on it, detailing what material should be used for each component of the Array.

Su Yan saw it with a glance and gave a nod, understanding everything. As for the Twins, they were still a little lacking, so they would need guidance on it.

“Okay, you three should leave first. I’ll connect the Array once I’m done with the basics here.” Yang Kai said as he reached out and a portal opened up behind Su Yan and the Twins.

Once outside, Yang Ji and Yang Xu could not help but stare at the portal closing and the whole interior of the world changing from one instant to the next. After all, one second outside was more than a day inside. Though there was no day and night, rain would appear and then disappear in the blink of an eye. Even their Father was merely afterimages inside, along with the mountains and rivers that could form and disappear in the next instant.

Still, the one thing that was noticeable was the constantly growing World Tree clone, and the original barren soil which soon sprouted patches of green, till it was covered. Even the mountains, fully greyish or brown, soon had green or white. 

The only time they had seen such a sight was within their Father’s Space-Time River, but that was only a glimpse while this was playing out right in front of their eyes.

Su Yan allowed them this moment before speaking, “Want to surprise your Dad?”

Yang Ji and Yang Xu looked back and gave a nod. Of course they do. Who would not want to surprise their own Father?

“If we can create these Space Arrays during this time, don’t you think he would be impressed?” Su Yan added and the eyes of the Twins already gave her the answer.

So, out on the empty street, she took out a table and a few chairs, and set it up for them to have class. 

For some reason, once they were out of the Protective Array and got seated, the Heavenly Demon Queen also took the liberty to get out of Yang Ji, and appeared right on top of the table, as though there was nothing wrong with her being here.

It might be the case where Su Yan had already met her first hand, and accepted her existence, that was why she felt comfortable to come out. Nevertheless, she seemed quite comfortable here.

As the Heavenly Demon Queen had predicted, indeed, Su Yan did not do anything to her and just left her be, as she solely concentrated on teaching the Twins. 

Su Yan would explain what certain parts of the Space Array meant, and how this combination worked to enforce the other function. At the same time, the Twins would ask questions, pretty much fully focused on the lesson, all while the Heavenly Demon Queen just silently appraised the Space Array.

Also, as though everything had been prepared beforehand, Su Yan even took out empty Array Plates, which she had Master Ma Fan craft prior. It had to be said that this was a lesson she had wanted to teach them for quite a while, so lesson materials had been prepared beforehand. These empty Array Plates were basically a base, made just for them to fit the Array on top of it to be used.

Naturally, it was not going to be effective as an Array Plate made for a singular function, but for educational purposes, nothing could be better. Also, like Yang Kai when he first touched upon Space Arrays, Su Yan’s mastery over the Dao of Spirit Arrays was lacklustre, but she was basically one of the best when it came to the Dao of Space. Therefore, she could teach the concepts of the Space Array.

The Twins would place different materials, engrave lines, and fill these lines with different materials to form the Space Array. However, as expected, the first time yielded no success. 

Still, they had the whole day to keep testing, so they did, while they continued to converse in their minds, testing out different theories, perfectly in sync.

Strangely, while they did this, the Heavenly Demon Queen just watched on in silence. Even if she had anything to say, she knew that this was for the Twins to figure out, that guiding them too closely would be detrimental to their growth. After all, even Su Yan, once she explained everything, merely sat back and watched as the twins fiddled with their Array Plates, and would only answer when the Twins had a question.

In fact, Su Yan was actually building out the basic structure of the Array outside while the Twins were seated. After all, she already knew what needed to be done from the instructions Yang Kai had given her through their Divine Sense before she left.
